Very clean & comfy property. Beautiful area, secluded just like we wanted. Nice getaway while moving our son in TXST. We didnât have time for the pool however we did go look at it; just as beautiful as pictures. Bring your own coffee or whatever you will need due to being far away from town. Nice back porch where I listened to crickets and birds. Peaceful and quiet. Quaint little place.
My partner and friends were in town for a wedding. This home was perfect for a simple stay. Bed was cozy and we loved doing yoga on the back patio. The property was secure, clean and kept at the perfect temperature.
We loved....LOVED the Caretakers Cottage. It was just perfect for us. The sitting area outside was so beautiful. Thank you so such for an awesome stay and we hope it will be available for our next visit.
My sister and I had a mini retreat at the caretaker's cottage on this property. We enjoyed the nearby pool on the property, the screened in-porch, and the cottage itself, which was charming and clean and had everything we needed.
Wow, if I could give this resort a negative rating I would! We were to go for a weekend stay to celebrate my husbandâs birthday. Early Monday morning we received the call no one wants, his father died unexpectedly. We immediately made plans to travel to MN where his parents live. I reached out to the resort to let them know what happened (yes I told them of the unexpected death in our family), I inquired on changing the dates of our stay. Their response was that âno other dates were availableâ, we were given the option to have a family member or friend go in our place or relisting the cottage in the hope someone would book and we could possibly get a refund. Otherwise, âthere was nothing they could doâ. There was no compromise and just really made an already difficult situation (coping with the sudden loss of my father in law) so much more of a headache by their lack of compassion, uncaring and rude nature. We were able to find some friends who were able to go to the cottage in our place. I called the resort to inform them, they said they had to get manager approval and would call me right back. Well 4 hours later and no response, I called back and was told âthere was nothing they could do and my request was deniedâ they promptly hung up the phone on me when I asked to speak with the manager. I was flabbergasted, where is the compassion and understanding? How can someone be soo rude? I have since filed a claim with the BBB. Absolutely poor management & rude staff!!!
We really enjoyed the Caretakerâs Cottage and the property itself. The beds were so comfortable, the house was just the right size for two couples, and the screened in porch was perfect for a cup of coffee in the morning. We also enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings! The property is absolutely beautiful and felt it was within good proximity to both Wimberly and Dripping Springs. We would definitely return!
If your wanting some peace and tranquility this is the place to go. If you enjoy walking you can walk to the pool to game room etc. Very close to Wimberley squareâŠ.
Perfect place to unplug and get away!
House was clean and had no issues.
They have an awesome Game Center with pole and table tennis
Horse shoe. Love the western theme and the inclosed back patio.
And plenty of land to go for a run.
They have a pool area that was always open and secluded.
As we were leaving we had an issue waiting for our ride and the host was so sweet and accommodating!
If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely rebook.
Thanks soo much!!!
We enjoyed our stay in the Caretakerâs Cottage. It was on a nice property just a short drive in to Wimberley. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and we enjoyed relaxing in the recliners in the evening. Only minor complaints - the water pressure in the shower sometimes was low, and the WiFi wasnât strong enough to use Netflix. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub on the property. When we went to the gas grill to grill some chicken for dinner, we discovered that the propane was low. We called the manager, and he came by in less than five minutes to replace the propane tank with a new one. Great service and would definitely stay here again.
This quaint cottage was nicely tucked away only minutes from beautiful wineries and eateries in Wimberley. The cottage was located in a gated community which allowed me to feel safe and secure on the property. The full kitchen and living area allowed us to stay in and relax, making our own breakfast and meals. The WiFi was lacking as you were continuously knocked on/off. The TV was only local antenna channels which would have been okay if the WiFi was consistent enough to allow us to stream our own movies or shows. The pool access was not clearly defined nor was the grill access as these appeared to be for the guest staying at the main house or the tiny house near the pit. We unfortunately did not get to use these amenities but were looking forward to grilling our steaks on the pit which we ended up doing on the stove top. The bed situation was by far sub-par. Thin and in need of replacing, sleeping in either bed (we tried both hoping one was better than the other) was like sleeping on bones. We both woke up with back pain after tossing and turning all night trying to get comfortable. One of the tiny homes on the property may have provided a better nights sleep but the nap I took in the recliner was more restful then either nights in the bed.
A little work/birthday getaway with the family, everything was nice and beautiful the place was very!
Renting the cottage was easy because my boss got it for us. The place was amazing it had a very large pool which was 4,5,8 feet deep, the only set back was opening an closing the gate, you had to get out of your vehicle each and every time to open an close the gate, they shouldâve made it in a way where you donât need to get out of your vehicle!!!!
We live only 30 minutes from Wimberley, but needed a break from our house after months of COVID-19-related staying at home. Heading to the Ranch at Wimberley was a perfect break. The cottage was fantastic. REALLY clean and had everything we needed. Only 2 small issues -- we couldn't figure out the DVD player/streaming device and when I texted the management about it, I never got a response. We made due with a HMDI cord and my computer for our planned family movie night. The other issue -- there was a large family -- I counted 23 members (adults and children) at the pool when we arrived. They took over the entire pool and it was impossible to go in the pool in a safe/social distanced manner with the group there. My son and I waited for about an hour for them to leave so we could swim. Not sure what the management could have done, but providing some guidelines/limits would probably be helpful when large groups are there during the pandemic. The good news, once they left, we had the pool to ourselves! It's a great pool!
