We was extremely happy with the property and its location. Everything was in very close distance and the house was easy to get to. Very clean and well maintained. Would definitely book this house over and over
Three our our college friends met for 45 year reunion. Fun. Laid back. Beautiful home. Located close to beaches, restaurants, and historical sites. We highly recommend.
We enjoyed this historic home, located nearly within the UTMB complex. It is close to the beach and the Strand, and we enjoyed walking around the historic homes in the neighborhood. Close to good breakfast spots, although they were both quite crowded, not surprisingly. Went to some great seafood restaurants, including one of the best on the island, Rudy and Paco, where we had a fabulous lunch. Be aware that one of the three bedrooms can only be accessed by going through one of the other two bedrooms, so not totally private. The hosts were very welcoming. Suggest you bring your own coffee! All in all, a good value in an increasingly expensive market, Galveston itself.
Our visit to Galveston included our son graduating from medical school. It was a beautiful house and just perfect for our family. The owner was quick to respond to my question before we arrived. We will definitely stay in their house in the future. Thank you for sharing your home with us! Alisa
This historic home (survivor of the 1900 hurricane) is located near the University. It's within easy walking distance to the historic downtown of Galveston and many fine restaurants, as well as entertainment venues.
The home, itself, was well stocked. This is unusual for vacation homes. We only had minimal shopping to do (like certain "beverage choices").
The coastal seawall is only 15+ minutes away, as is the inner harbor. We didn't have to drive at all.
We look forward to booking again!
The grass was uncut, producing more mosquitoes and bugs, we had to cancel the cookout. There was construction on the corner. Other than that the home was clean and it did its job.
My family and I just stayed here for two nights and we loved it!
The only issue we had was the couch needed to be updated, and there were issues with the recliners not wanting to go back in. The smartlock to the door wouldnt recognize our code and was confusing to open. But the owners/property managers were quick to respond and help us with the problem. Its close to Seawall and a slew of gift shops and restaurants. 9 out of 10! Would definitely recommend this place to stay.
The house is very charming. We enjoyed its age (100+ ) because it was a symbol of endurance after Galveston was destroyed by a hurricane. The renovations are good. The kitchen and bathrooms are up-to -date. The bedrooms are comfy. The house is spacious. The neighborhood is in the medical district and within walking distance of a good grocery, bakeries, a juice bar (right across the street) with delicious and nutritional mixtures. Not far away are fresh fish markets from which we purchased terrific vermilion snapper and salmon steaks. The house is close to museums and historic homes as well.
Great property -difficult to walk to Stewart beach
Loved the house and ease of access. Very responsive management when we had a question (TV issue). The only thing we didn't fully realize is that it is not walkable to the beach in a practical sense. Very near Stewart Beach, which was nice and well kept. But waking to it from the house was impractical with the way the sidewalks are and the lack of crosswalk thru a major intersection. Add two kids and it's a no go. We didn't mind driving the 5 minutes to the beach tho, and the house had a lot of fun and neat features.
First night I had to sleep outside in my car. Could not get a hold of the host. My safety was definitely in question. The second day the host got back with me and helped me gain access to the property. I was given a $200 refund but I think for something that dramatic the whole stay should have been free.
This home is so cute!!! Itâs clean and located in a quiet neighborhood. The home has a lot of charm with modern features.
There is a Bistro and a smoothy place in walking distance from the house. We were able to try the Bistro, it was delicious!!! The owners are very responsive and accommodating. We had a great visit!
Thank you!!!

The house is kids-friendly and comfortable. Everything is as described. Short drive from the beaches and restaurants. Safe and quiet neighborhood. Free Roku channel on TV. Comfortable chairs on the back yard patio and on the balcony. Child-proof lock on the cabinet under the kitchen sink where dishwasher chemicals are stored. New washer and dryer. Beds are not soft, but good. Living room sofa is large and comfortable. Jenga and Monopoly are available. Overall, great place. Highly recommend!
Good location could get to everything on island easily and away from high traffic wild areas very relaxing we spent most of our time exploring the island try the cemetery tour of ghost
