The house was incredibly dirty. The towels smelled like they had not even been washed. The water was so horrible that once we turned it on we had to leave the house due to the overwhelming sulfur smell that filled the entire house. We are having to find a place to shower. I have pictures to prove just how bad the house was.
If it’s any indication of the severity of this, my husband washed his hair with cooler water.

The house was so cute, comfy and clean! The host is very kind and the location is great. Definitely a great place to stay! We even locked ourselves out and the host came to help.

Over all stay all i can say it was a place to lay our heads for the night . I contacted charles the next day with a few issues as in 1 roll of toliet paper for 4 people which i let him know 4 adults . The back bedroom bed felt like it was about to fall apart, middle room my mom got stuck in the room cas of faulty door handle. Live roaches in the fridge, he saaid cleaning lady had left her car because it would t start which was fine but dnt see where she cleaned the trash hadn't been taken out there waa a dirty pair of pants in trash and no trash bags so that one could be took out. I messaged him to let him know his answer was .Things happen . II wouldnt recommend for anyone to rent from this man

Thought there was a hot tub-not

No leaving instructions- needs bathroom cleaning and dusting! Had a good time other wise- Did go get coffee, sugar & creamer/something that is usually provided

A great place to stay but with some compromises

The heater doesn’t work properly, it was very cold at night. Washroom latches don’t lock, and shower head literally sprays water in probably 5 out of 50 pores. But except these, the place is good. Need to keep the general checkout time at 11 instead of 10am. Got charged 60$ extra for checking out an hour late

No internet or television o ly old scratched dvds to watch. No wifi had to use hot spot on phone. Not worth the money. Spa tub did not work. Grass was so high full of stickers couldn't enjoy outside at all. House was cute but nothing else was worth it.

What’s the equivalent of slumlord

Dirty. Mattresses smelled like pee. Fans were dirty. No broom. Ac in 1 room. TVs (monitors) did not work. Internet did not work. Grass overgrown. Owner accused us of damages to property yet could not provide me proof or items listed Thank goodness we have from when we left I will apologize for leaving dirty dishes in the sink and food in the fridge

I WANT A REFUND!

Upon arrival, it was hotter inside than outside (2 dirty window a/c units for a 3 bedroom), water was turned off, the floors were sticky, there were several dead cockroaches in plain sight, black dirt ring and hair in the jacuzzi tub, bathmats were sticky and dirty, mascara on pillowcases, puddle of meat blood in a dirty refrigerator, FILTHY a/c filters, filthy ceiling fans, filthy entertainment center, mold/mildew mixed with sewer gas stench, a kitchen sponge that looked like it was used on the toilet, beds sink in the middle, my 2 year old got into the open rat poison under the kitchen sink (NOT kid friendly) and to top it off… a giant dead tree (that should be taken down), broke off and crashed onto the back deck that we used to access the house. Thankfully nobody was hurt. WE had to clean the tubs, a/c filters, bathmats, sheets, floors and fridge. We had to buy fans, an in-room a/c unit, trash bags, sponges and cleaning supplies. I have lots of pictures of this disaster of a VRBO. Do yourself a favor and find a better place to stay.

The worst experience ever

I booked this thru Vrbo and the booking was simple but I didn't receive any check in information. Vrbo states for you to contact the host if you don't receive it so I did. He stated Vrbo had the check in information with the code to get in. I get to the place and called the host several times but didn't receive a response. I called Vrbo and they didn't have an access code to get in, the lady try to get a hold of him for 3 hrs and never receive a response, so I finally gave up and had to find a hotel because I had my elderly mother and kids with me and they needed to rest. When he finally reached out the next day he was so rude trying to blame everything on me stating it was an operator issue, I told him I needed a full refund and he very rudely responded he wasn't going to give me anything. I was not going to argue with him so I reached out to Vrbo till I finally got my refund approved almost a week after. My advice to everyone is stay away from this place.

In my opinion, this property is not suitable for renting to the public. The primary factors are safety, health, and the general state of the property. Safety concerns are driven by the state of the electrical wiring. There are multiple instances of exposed live wiring cables in violation of National Electric Code (NEC). There was at least one lighting circuit with an over sized breaker (30 amps) that was tripped each time you turn on the main bathroom lights indicating a significant fault in the circuit. Health concerns are driven by the general cleanliness of the entire house. The dust on the ceilings, caked on dirt on the A/C units, and the grime on the dishes all point to a lack of attention to providing a healthy environment. In addition, we woke up the first morning to find a live gecko on the main bedroom wall and a live mouse in the main bath tub. The building clearly leans and slopes from front to back. The grill in the back yard is clearly in no state for any reasonable person to use. The entrance code provided by VRBO was incorrect requiring us to call the owner to get the correct code. There is no WiFi, not even close. I had this property rented for three nights and made other lodging arrangements. I reached out to the owner outlining these issues and requested a refund based on unsuitable lodging. So far, the owner has only questioned the truth of my claims and no refund has been provided. In all cases stated above, I have pictures that document the issues.

Little cottage

The house is very quaint. It can use some maintenance. Plumbing was questionable. Slow draining tubs. We couldn't use the jacuzzi bath because of it. Needs some deep cleaning. Lots of dust. Yard was unkept. High weeds and grass. So couldn't really go into it. Looks like it just needed some spring cleaning and maintenance

Disappointed

I have used VRBO for many years. There are often emails sent the day of check in regarding time, how to access the home, check out procedures, etc. Check in was at 4 but I had to call at 5:30 bc I still had not received any info. I called 5 times and finally was able to reach him. The house itself served its purpose, but there is no A/C, only 2 window units. Also, we were told we couldn’t check in until 4 bc the cleaning crew. He did offer to hire more cleaning personnel to clean faster for a few if we wanted. However, the bathrooms were not clean. Mats were dirty and the tubs were filthy, dusty, and had what appeared to be pubic hair covering both tubs.
