We have opened up our place again this year for summer guests. There is no better place to view Lake Superior than on the Onota Hill!!
This one bedroom apartment is situated on 40 acres of land overlooking Lake Superior. It is a quiet, remote getaway location. Unplug and relax in our piece of heaven. The apartment has a beautiful panoramic view of Lake Superior. A great place to sit and watch the sunrise with a nice cup of coffee!! This rental is 25 minutes from so many local attractions!!
25 minutes to Pictured Rocks
25 minutes to Marquette
15 minutes to AuTrain beach and The AuTrain River, one of the most popular rivers to canoe in the UP!!
5 minutes to Lake Superior
5 minutes to Deer Lake, a very popular beach/ swim area
Our apartment is close to ATV trails and hiking. The apartment has 1 bedroom with a queen sized bed and a twin bed. There is a full size sofa sleeper in the living room.
Onota Hill is a perfect location to be able to explore the central Upper Peninsula. The perfect getaway!!! With plenty of close hiking trails and waterfalls, there is always something new to explore.
This rental is on 4 miles of maintained dirt road. It is an upstairs apartment, with stairs. Apartment includes full shower, microwave, stove, refrigerator, coffee pot and coffee. All bedding and bathroom towels are provided. There is a TV with DVD player, board games and books. Cable and WiFi are NOT available.
Minimum 2 night stay. There is a discount for a 7 night stay or month rental.
There has been some confusion in the past, this is an apartment above our garage. The garage is not attached to our house but our house is right next to the apartment.
This is a quiet, clean UP retreat.

Awesome view and close to Pictured Rocks

A secluded getaway, with great views. We especially liked sitting on the sofa and looking out the window at Lake Superior. A short 30 minute drive to Munising where we went kayaking and explored Pictured Rocks.

Peaceful Getaway

Very nice secluded land with a great view of Lake Superior. About a 30 min drive to Munsing and 45 min to a hour from Marquette. Lots of hiking and things to do/see in the area. Weather can change from day to day so make sure to pack for all seasons. Would recommend to anyone who doesn't want to stay in a hotel or is looking for that country feeling. Jodi and Mike are great!

The apartment had a stunning view, close to pictured rocks and was quiet. Not to mention they have a sweetheart of a yellow lab! This was a great trip!

Hidden Gem

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Jodi's place. The best part is the view of Lake Superior directly from the front windows. The apartment was very cozy and accommodating. Perfect spot for getaways to Marquette and Munising. Only suggestion would be an upgrade to main bed as mattress was uncomfortable. Jodi checked in on us our first night to make sure we were all set, and we thought this was sweet. We loved her place, and hope to visit again!

Weekend Getaway

We had wonderful experience! The communication from the property owners was great. They gave us detailed directions to make getting there easy, came over and greeted us when we first arrived, and always ensured our needs were met. The view from the property is breathtaking. Overall great hospitality.

Wonderful weekend

This place is fantastic. The views and landscape made for a very relaxing and rejuvenating stay. The cabin is simple and cozy. Plenty to do if you like being outdoors. The hosts were kind and responsive to our needs throughout the reservation and during our stay. Thank you for sharing your space with us.

Fantastic experience!

We absolutely loved this property! Jodi and Mike were wonderful hosts! The view from this property was breathtaking! The apartment was just as described and felt like being at home! The lights went out for a short time one morning of our stay, and Jodi brought us water, matches, and coffee!! She was a gem!! She was always available with answers to any of my questions about the area! This was our first vrbo experience, and it was fantastic! Would definitely stay again!

BEWARE

First off, no check in info until midday of check in day and then it was directions cause gps isn’t always accurate(that’s the good). Arrived to the host having a party and no where to park. Knocked on door and no answer so I had to call and interrupt the gathering. The was mostly clean but severely lacked on what we thought were essentials. No paper towels (did get some after we texted and asked), no foul, Saran Wrap or other things of that nature. No lids for the pans, not to mention the cooking pans were very cheap and no non stick. The main bed was extremely rickety and we thought it was gonna collapse, not to mention very uncomfortable. My kids slept in a pull out sofa that needed help too. I ended up sleeping on an actual mattress they had in a closet, a bit more comfortable but not much. At the end of the trip on way home we all noticed several bug bites on us. Quite possibly bed bugs (sure hope not). Then we found out there was no hot water in the shower (everywhere else had good hot water except the shower). We inquired on that and was later told they were unaware of this and couldn’t fix it. Said we could use theirs, but we were returning to late in the nights to wake them up not to mention didn’t really feel comfortable about that. We weren’t given any keys or a way to lock up our belongings which made us nervous as well. Had to take the kids computers along everyday. Not that big a deal there. Was woken up every morning to loud talking on cell phones from the hosts. I wouldn’t recommend this host for your next vacation stay, look elsewhere and enjoy the beautiful country in the UP. We asked the host for a partial refund for all the inconveniences and was sadly told no way.

Family Get Away

We had a great stay! The view from the property cannot be beat. Jodi welcomed us the first night and gave us great directions and tips for finding our way around the area. Great location for seeing Pictured Rocks or checking out the many local waterfalls. Very clean, cozy and comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at the apartment. Host gave us great directions and welcomed us at the door. She gave us helpful tips about hiking and biking in the area. In the evening kids had fun playing board games and watching DVDs.

This property is tucked away in the woods with a beautiful view of Superior. The fall colors were breathtaking. The place was clean as advertised and communication was great. Would love to stay here again!

My husband is a born and raised Yooper. We fell in love with this piece of land for its stunning panoramic Lake Superior views. We built this apartment above our garage where we lived for 3 years until having a family. We then built a home next to our garage/apartment. Our house is next to the apartment, but no other homes are visible from our land. We have three adult children. We do have a dog who is inside most of the day.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This property is great for a relaxing get away. We have an amazing panoramic view of Lake Superior. In the autumn, the fall leaves are breathtaking. We are centrally located to many outdoor activities in Munising and Marquette; as well as breweries, restaurants and quaint shops. We are just 15 minutes from the Autrain River, one of the UP’s most popular rivers to canoe. We are a short 5 minute drive to Lake Superior and 5 minute drive to Deer Lake, a very popular swimming spot.
Many of our guests choose our place as a central location to explore the upper peninsula. We are only 30 minutes from the start of Pictured Rocks national lakeshore. We are 30 minutes east of Marquette with Black Rocks, Sugar Loaf and lots of restaurants. We are close to many waterfalls including Laughing Whitefish falls, Munising Falls, Wagner Falls, AuTrain Falls. We are about a hour scenic drive from Fayetteville State Park and Kitch-ita-kipi Springs. Come relax, and explore the rustic Upper Peninsula while also enjoying modern conveniences.
