Cozy & Cute Modern Tiny house close to wineries, wedding venues, and outdoor fun
Tom Dooleyâs Hideout is located at the Gateway to the hill country, just minutes west of Dripping Springs off of hwy 290. Itâs a unique 4 acre property with 5 modern tiny houses that sit on open range with free grazing livestock which occasionally show up as they do not belong to us. This tiny house comfortably sleeps 2 on a queen bed but we do have a sofa/futon that's great for kids. Enjoy sitting on the porch or at the picnic table under the trees to kick back and relax on a cool evening. We do allow pet guests but want to note that there is a $40 fee PER pet PER night so please be sure and include them on your reservation.
The place was all we needed and it was a beautiful place. Very removed which made going places inconvenient and too far out of the way for any Uber/Lyft to get there. That said the place is a great retreat and quiet
We stayed here for an anniversary. Everything was like the pictures and we enjoyed our stay. Close to town and wineries. Only thing I'd suggest is adding an outdoor trash can somewhere to dispose of dog waste. We could not find one anywhere.
This little house was just perfect for a quick visit with family. The bathroom was roomy and the bed comfy. We werenât planning to cook meals, so not have a cooktop was no problem. Roaming cattle was interesting but remember that they are not pets. We hope to book this again.
PS The owner was quick to answer questions.
Adorable, clean, and private. We enjoyed staying here so much. It is aesthetically pleasing, spotless, and has all of the "extras" you would ever need. We were greeted by the "Welcome Committee" in the morning (herd of cows) and enjoyed the peacefulness of the surroundings. Check-in/check-out were a breeze and our stay was rejuvenating in all of the right ways. Trevor is quick with communication and extremely helpful. If you are ever in the area or just need a getaway, I definitely recommend this place. I will not hesitate to stay here again in the future. Such a fabulous experience...
We absolutely loved the little "cabins" that didn't feel at all like cabins. The decor was fresh and the whole place felt upscale but simple. The showers get HOT, the a/c gets COLD, all of the linens were soft and fresh, and the view and quiet at night were ideal. The only thing that could have made this better, would be clarity on the driving directions. It was a bit hard to navigate our first time there. We would be happy to stay here many more times! :)
My husband and I loved our stay here! The modern vibe with country accents were perfect. I especially loved relaxing in the hammocks early in the morning with my coffee and a good book. The only issue we had was that the water in the shower didnât seem to get very hot compared to the water in the sinks.
Great location, we loved Wanda. The only drawback was the lack of ventilation in the bathroom. A standard fixture for any bathroom Other than that it was great.
We came into town for a wedding and initially chose the property for its proximity to events and its dog friendly policy. Once we arrived there were a dozen more reasons we were happy to be staying. The homes while within the same area have a lot of privacy. The weather during our stay didn't allow for it but there is a fire pit and hammock area for all to use. The home had so much natural light we didn't even use lights during the day. Everything you could need is provided. The space was very clean and well done with finishes and decor. Were I to mention anything needing improvement it's only that the pillows were stiff. We definitely have found our new go to place to stay when visiting Dripping Springs.
I grew up just a few miles down the road in the neighboring town of Buda, TX. My family has deep roots in and around this county as my dad (partner in these cabins) has been the county sheriff for the past decade. I have spent my entire career in the architecture and construction industry which is how I can to build these tiny custom homes. We truly love the Texas Hill Country and wanted to provide a special place for others to enjoy as well.
The Texas Hill Country has so much to offer with mild winters, beautiful spring and fall seasons mixed with the occasional 100 degree day in the summers. Dripping Springs TX happens to actually be the wedding capital of Texas with countless venues within 15 minutes in any direction. The area also has to offer numerous vineyards, breweries and distilleries for all tastes. We decided to offer a place for guests to come and experience this piece of Texas. I had the cabins custom designed to build for tomorrow's look not today's.
