Lake Placid is one of NY's most visited sites in the Adirondacks! Our place is conveniently located within a 15-20 minute walking distance to the village of Main street. Summertime activities include kayaking, boat rentals, SUP, swimming around Mirror lake. For bigger adventures - Lake Placid is about a 5-10 minute drive. Wintertime activities include skiing or snowboarding at Whiteface Mountain, about 15 minutes from the nest! It has the highest vertical drop in all of the northeast!

The space
Trillium Chalet is our Main home that has 4BR's and 2 Baths that has an extension with our guest home called Trillium Nest (2BR 1 Bath) on a separate listing. If you wish to have additional space and/or bedrooms for a bigger group that can accommodate an extra 5 more people, please check our separate listing for availability or you can send me an inquiry and I can check if it is available during your stay.
You will have complete access to the home with a private entrance via the front door.
You can check yourself in with the key located in the lock box. We will provide you with the code a few days before your trip.
There are four total bedrooms - 1 King, 2 Queens, and a Queen Bunk-bed. The living room is very spacious and has WIFI enabled TV with Roku installed. The home offers two full bathrooms and is also equipped with a full kitchen. The basement or the second floor is our game room. There is a pool table, foosball, ping pong and air hockey table. We ask guests to keep this area clean and refrain from placing food and drinks on any of the game tables.
Parking available right on site - Maximum number of cars = 4. If you require more than 4 cars, please message me to inquire about availability.
Our home was built in 2001, while still maintaining its shape, my family and I have worked tirelessly to make it a home where we can come to unwind and enjoy the outdoors. While we offer our home as a rental to our guests, we do have a few things we'd like to disclose to you prior to booking:
- Some of the window screens have holes in them so if the windows are open, flies do tend to come inside
- The kitchen screen door does not close fully and needs to be replaced
- The sliding door that leads to the deck from the dining table opens but the screen needs to be replaced
- There are no seats currently in the basement game room
- The bathrooms tend to build up condensation and moisture so a dehumidifier is on 24/7.
- Some of the bedrooms do not have any drawers, but there are closets with hangers available to hang your clothes.
We are very happy of our home but do know that certain guests expect perfection. If you can accept these minimal flaws, then we are happy to host you and have you enjoy the comfort of our home. Our home is a continued work in progress and we are excited to continue adding to it to make it fun and relaxing for all of our guests. If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask! =)
Guest access
Please be mindful that my family or other renters may occupy the guest apartment above the garage during your stay. The bonfire is a shared space. Please respect the privacy of the apartment home and keep the noise level down after 9pm. Pool is off limits.
Other things to note
We have a surveillance camera installed for the exterior of the house.
There is a Window AC unit ONLY in the living room. Lake Placid is usually cool even during summer time with an average low of 40 to 50 degrees Fahrenheit, especially at night. Leaving the windows open and using the ceiling fans have given ample breeze even during summer time.
