A fabulous stay!

We spent 1.5 weeks here and enjoyed this rental immensely! It was clean, comfortable, and quiet!We saw more deer than people during our stay here and the view each morning was great watching the waves roll in on the beach from the comfort of the living room. Who could ask for more!

This place not only has amazing views, but the decorations and the overall place is great. Communication with owners was great. Weve rented here before and will again.

It was great to be in a place right next to the beach. Got to enjoy the sound of waves every night. Definitely beats a white noise machine. Very clean, thoughtfully appointed property. It was perfect for an anniversary weekend getaway.

Relaxing

This VRBO was clean, comfortable, peaceful, and so relaxing to stay at. We enjoyed the ocean views from the decks so much. We had fun watching the deer and birds. The ocean is only a very short walk away!

Summer visit

Check was a breeze and communication with the host was easy and responsive. The views and hearing the ocean were amazing. The kitchen was well stocked and the complimentary coffee and wine were very much appreciated! The cleanliness could have been improved in the kitchen and bathrooms, specifically the fridge and toilets. The listing stated the condo had AC but it did not, and that was one of the reasons we booked this condo over another. When we let the host know, it was stated that it was a mistake and nothing else was said or done. Our first night, the smoke detector was chirping so we took it down to remove the battery. Reached out to the host to ask if they had any batteries on hand, but they didn’t. They did offer to send maintenance but we declined and just picked up and replaced the 9v as we had to go to the store anyway. Overall, the stay was good. Great location and the views are amazing there.

Nice quiet week

We were here for the last week of october. Since it was off season, there was not a lot open and that was fine with us. I wish i had a bike to ride on the beach and around the town. We did a day trip up to ruby beach. We should have also done a hike to “hole in the wall”. It is not too much past ruby beach and i heard it is very pretty. There are stores around to buy food and everything was a good quality. If you are really going to cook, you may need to bring some of your own stuff. The kitchen was limited in pots, pans, knives Also, there are no beach chairs provided so if you want to sit on the beach, bring your own

Surreal

I am such a detail person and literally spent weeks choosing where to stay for my visit to the coast. It would be my friends first time at the Pacific Ocean and I wanted it to be special. When I showed him the listing photos he said, "You know those aren't real right? That has to be a painting." The property was a perfect as a painting and the views were even better. We watched an amazing sunrise behind Mt. Rainer and the sun set over the waves of the ocean. There were plenty of things to do and restaurants to visit though we cooked a few meals in the well appointed kitchen. The only thing that would've made it any better is if there were more cleaning supplies available and a few more spices in the cupboard. All in all we were impressed by everything this property had to offer and would definitely consider staying here again.

Nice view and responsive owners but bad experience

The view was nice and the property has great access to the beach. The construction in the property started on day 3 and we spotted the first mouse on day 5. There are no indoor chairs on the second story and the mouse problem was limited (we think) to the main floor making the vast majority of our stay noisy and uncomfortable as I don’t particularly like mice. The owners were responsive although the initial attempts to address the mice were predictably unsuccessful (glue traps without bait) and required constant communication with owners in another state. They offered another unit in the same building and a hotel in town - and another weekend stay. They were very kind about it, too. But, it was a bad experience. I’ll choose another property next time. The construction work next door had a lift where all day we listened to the sound of a truck backing up, not the least bit restful and we watched them build the scaffolding. Overall, I really wished I would have selected another property. We left two days early. The owner said that she’d mail me a refund for those days. Which was nice.

Hi Carolyn, thanks for your review. This homeowner has asked us to pass along the following response: We are so sorry that you had to experience those issues while staying with us in August. As I hope I relayed to you when we spoke last month, we, unfortunately, were not notified that there was going to be construction going on next door. We now understand that this is where the mice originated. Our maintenance manager, who has worked here for over 9 years, has never seen a rodent or droppings of any kind on or in the property, so this came as quite a surprise to all of us. We had an exterminator come out immediately to lay traps under the building as well as in the unit. The mice situation was taken care of in a couple of days, and we now have an exterminator contracted for maintenance. We had hoped the options we offered you to be moved to another unit in our building for the rest of your stay, or to stay at a hotel in town at our expense, would have worked for you. Since it did not, we refunded part of your stay, as well as offered you a complimentary future stay for a weekend on us. We are sorry to hear that won't be something you would like to take advantage of in the future.

Wonderful!

My partner and I stayed for an end-of-summer getaway. Property was clean and well-stocked with everything you'd need, especially if you plan on cooking. It's right next to the dunes so the walk to the beach is quick and easy. Far away from the busy part of town, but plenty close to local stores for anything we forgot. Very appreciative of the complimentary wine and jacuzzi tub. It was a fantastic weekend and it couldn't have been more perfect thanks to this lovely space!

Paradise even in the rain

My expectations were exceeded. Everything to make the stay comfortable was there and the welcome wine was a very pleasant surprise. The view, the view, the view and did I mention THE VIEW??? It rained our entire stay but it didn’t stop us from enjoying breakfast on the deck and cracking the door to hear the surf. We were the only ones there and enjoyed the solitude. Walking on the beach in the rain was even pleasant! This was our 1st ever trip to the coast and I would highly recommend this property. If I’m ever fortunate enough to make another trip, I’ll be staying here. Thanks so much for sharing it with us!
