Rebecca's Waterfront Cottage Westport Ontario

Rebecca's cozy waterfront cottage is perfect for family or friends looking for indoor and outdoor time together.

Enjoy a refreshing swim in the clean Sand Lake, just walking distance from downtown Westport, where the amazing shops will tempt you to go back and back again.

This is a great rustic cottage, with all the touches of home. We provide fresh towels, and all the beds are ready with bedding when you arrive.

The cottage is well situated on the lake, with a dock that leads into the water. We provide adult size water shoes as the lake does have some zebra mussels.

Watch the sunrise and sunset, relaxing by the lakefront. You will enjoy a meal in the large screened-in porch with a beautiful view of the lake and enjoy nature at its best as every season is different.

This is a quiet waterfront area with neighbours. We ask that you respect your surroundings and use appropriate language.
This reservation has a Super Flexible cancellation policy - refunds will be issued up to 14 day prior to the check in date.
A 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 14 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling from 7 to 13 days before check-in. No refunds are provided for travellers cancelling less than 7 days prior to check-in. CanadaStays Booking Fees are refundable if you cancel within 48 hours of placing your booking request.

During July and August, we only rent by the week or longer stay

Nice dock for swimming, fishing, and docking the boat. The cottage was clean and on the water. Communications were responded to promptly. Two of the rooms are tight, but we made it work. Saw the Northern lights and beautiful sunsets. Really enjoyed our stay!

Excellent property and wonderful host

We loved being at this property. Everything was clean, comfortable and worked perfectly. I would advise anyone to rent this property as it is peaceful and perfect. 5 star rating.

Cute cottage right on the lake. Beautiful view, ducks, geese, loones. Wonderful sunset & tons of stars. Cottage has everything you need. Couldn’t ask for a better get away.

Fabulous Stay

The cottage was great: it was clean and spacious and improvements have been done since the photos were taken. It was right by the lake. Good swimming and fishing. Canoe and kayak on site to borrow. Loved the extra long dock. Reliable wi-fi connection if you are thinking about working from the cottage. Less than a 5 min walk to the winery and less than 2km from village centre. Francine is a fantastic host. We are coming back next year! Thank you, Francine!

Great location, lovely porch

I would definitely return to this cottage. Francine is a very responsive host, quick to answer a call and to act. For instance, the shower leaked, and a plumber was quickly called, and it was fixed shortly afterwards. We asked for a vacuum and promptly received one. We stayed for two weeks in July and spent most of our time outdoors or in the lovely front porch overlooking the lake. You will read in other reviews and see from the photos that there is no ceiling above the bedrooms – there is gap between the walls and the top roof. This means the air circulates well and the heat goes up to the roof. But it also means that the bedrooms are not sound proof. Yet, the front porch and the location make up for it!

Fantastic Cottage Weekend

Me and four friends stayed from Friday-Monday and had an absolutely wonderful time. Francine was so accomodating and quick to answer our questions, let us check in early, brought us extra waivers for he watercraft, and we enjoyed a lovely complimentary bottle of wine. Thi property is marked as no AC which concerned us, but there were enough free standing fans/AC units that we were comfortable the whole trip. The sunroom/wrap around area is stunning and hs a gorgeous view of the lake, whcih was so clean and warm we could barely stay out of it long enough to enjoy the cottage itself, which was just as homey and delightful as the pictures make it seem. The nearby winery restaurant was amazing. The watercraft provided were in excellent condition, as was the dock itself. The only note I would give to prospective guests is that the lifejackets under the cottage were a bit dirty/old. Thankfully, this wasn't a huge deal for us as we are all strong swimmers, but if you're intending to bring kids who need lifejackets, I'd reccomend bringing your own. Other than that, we had absolutely zero complaints. Thanks again to Francine for a fantastic weekend!

Thanksgiving 2022

Super cute, clean and comfortable cottage! It accommodated our family of 3 very well. It was very conveniently located for visiting our family in the town of Westport, and the setting was lovely. It was beautiful to watch the sun rise over the vineyards and light up the fall colours across the lake, and eventually see the sun set back over the lake. Francine was easy to communicate with and very hospitable. Would visit again - thank you!

Hidden Gem

The cottage waa clean and was exactly what the description stated...no hidden surprises. Well one, the fact that you can walk to the winery! Easy walk to town, docks were great and kayaks and canoes. Westport holds many childhood memories and look forward to visiting again... Hosts were great and responsive to my questions...

Beautiful cozy cottage

We really enjoyed the cottage. It is small/cozy but had lots of outdoor space. The waterfront was nice for kayaking and swimming. There is a sandy beach a few minutes drive away for kids. The winery was great for dinner/lunch. We would definitely come back for another stay next summer.

Awesome cottage

Great cottage, super private space, lovely view of sunset from the lakeside. The only drawback is - photographs on the ad do not do enough justice, the cottage is so much better in real life than it looks on the photos!! :)

Great location and great host

This is a very sweet cottage. Although it is not a spacious, it has a wonderful, long front sun-room which is the main living area. The lake is clean and great for swimming, boating etc. It is fun to be next to the winery which makes great pizza and grilled food. It is short walk to Westport. Francine was lovely to deal with and the only reason we wouldn't rent this again is due to the bedrooms not having ceilings.

What a great stay!

Our family had a wonderful time at the cottage—fishing off the dock, enjoying the campfire and the amazing views from the wrap around porch. We visited the winery where we had a fantastic dinner and delicious wine. It was an all-around great time!

Amazing getaway

This property was the perfect getaway for our group of young professionals to escape the city and enjoy the outdoors. The cottage was equipped with everything we needed, from kitchen utensils for cooking to beach toys for the beautiful waterfront. The location is also within steps of a lovely winery which our group thoroughly enjoyed. Check-in and out was extremely easy, and Francine was very nice! Would highly recommend staying here!
