Gorgeous Mountain Retreat

This was our second time renting Mountain Bearadise from Pam and our stay was incredible. The home is beautiful with everything you can need or want in a mountain vacation home. We will most definitely rent this home again.

A lot of space for a family get together, play games and eat food! Lots of waterfalls to visits and small towns not too far away. We did get to see a mama bear and her cubs.

Well equipped, absolutely beautiful mountain home!

Mountain Bearadise was exactly as advertised if not better. The home was beautifully and comfortably decorated. The views were breath taking. It offered plenty of room for family members to spread out or spend lots of together time. My family looks forward to renting this home again next summer!!

This property is not only beautiful, it is fully stocked to cook for a large amount of people. My kids are vegan so I had to cook in 2 styles at the same time. The grill worked perfectly. We all love this property!

Fabulous vacation rental

We spent six nights and seven days with our family of 12 at Mountain Bearadise. The house had everything we needed and all of the social gathering spaces provided plenty of room for all ages to relax and enjoy. We got to watch the mother bear and her two cubs from the second floor deck and even spotted a white squirrel. Our grandkids favorite was that we were so close to Miller fFalls where we went just about every evening! We hope to be able to come back again next summer.

If I could rate Mountain Bearadise 10 stars, I would! This cabin is PERFECT for any sized gathering. The cabin is decorated adorably, but with a touch of personalization that really makes it feel like home. The beds are incredibly comfortable, the kitchen perfectly stocked for ANYTHING you'd need, and the views are outstanding. Pam Watt is the most amazing host you could ever ask for - her genuine hospitality truly has you feeling like a guest visiting her home!This was our second trip to this perfect location and we will be back many more times! Can't recommend highly enough!

Pretty much everything about the house and its amenities were outstanding. Excellent neighborhood and the houses are on large lots so you can't really see the other houses. The homeowner has done an excellent job of outfitting the property--the kitchen is stocked with everything imaginable, linens and towels were great, gas fireplace and outside fireplaces were outstanding, and the tvs worked well with lots of content. The best part was the mother bear and 2 cubs which we got to watch on 2 occasions!!

This property was as advertised and more. The owners have gone out of their way to make sure that the place is fully stocked with everything you need and more in the kitchen. Plenty of nice towels and linens. The propane tank for the gas grill was even full on arrival. The best part was the mother bear and 2 cubs that the owners ordered up for us. They put on quite a long show for us one day and we were fortunate to see them a second day. We would definitely rent again.

We drove seven hours hoping to get a little break from the hustle of our daily lives. When we drove up to the cabin the view was right off the bat Breathtakingly beautiful!! When we walked in we could not believe the cabin, or should I say the five star accommodations!! The house/cabin was extremely clean and everything in its place. The rooms are very big and EVERY room has the most stunning views one could imagine. The house/cabin has everything we needed from cooking, washer/dryer, three fireplaces, and sooo much more! The outdoor deck has three different areas to relax and take in the views. We sat outside in the afternoon and looked over the best Mountain View’s you could imagine. The area has so much to do and so many hiking area we went on. When I said we were hoping to get “little break” to relax, we got beyond a little break…. We decompressed beyond all of our expectations. The vibe of the house/cabin itself was so refreshing and relaxing. Our week at the amazing big, clean, well decorated, well stocked house/cabin is what everyone should experience at least twice a year or more. We are already looking at our next stay.Pam and Bruce know how to treat their guest. Thank you Pam and Bruce for sharing your house with us!!The Wurstner's

Lovely but Beware

The property is lovely and there are many places for people to gather. That said, the main living area is not well suited for a gathering of 14. We could not eat or watch a movie together without adjusting furniture to make it work. A smaller group should do fine. Dealing with the owners is another matter. I don't believe there are cameras inside the home, but they are outside, as well as sensors on the doors and windows, and the owner controlled the thermostat remotely (some rooms were cold while others were too hot). I can understand monitoring one’s property; however, the technology, together with the things said, made it clear they were watching during our stay. It made me uncomfortable. A week later, I got a call from the owner who stated he just arrived at the property and was aghast at the condition in which we left it. Our conversation lasted about 15 mins and I said very little. He unleashed a profanity-laced barrage of insults and accusations upon me. He was angry that we had been in his garage, though is wife offered it to us prior to check in and gave me the code to use it. He was angry that we touched his golf cart, but again, his wife had offered it for our use. He was angry there were pinholes in the wall surrounding the dart board, and that we had changed his TV settings so we could use our Roku and game console, and he was angry claiming that we had misused and broken the garbage disposal. It did leak, requiring repair, however we did not misuse it. I have gone over the events several times and I really think there were several factors at play. I think this rental is their primary home which they vacated so we could be there. When we came in, we adjusted the furniture and plugged in our Roku so we could be comfortable as a big family. I would not be happy if someone came into my home and did that…which is why I don’t rent it. At the end of our stay, we moved the furniture back, cleaned according to the online instructions, and left by the appointed time. If they did not use a cleaning service (as I suspect), the owners walked into a house that had had14 men, women, teens, children, and babies in it for 9 days…It was lived in, but not destroyed as accused. I know we are a large group of varying ages and that is a lot on a house for 9 days. It’s also why I pay the extra for insurance and cleaning. These owners are not prepared for a large group in their home for that long, and I would not recommend it.

We'd like to clarify that this home is under new ownership since your experience, and they take the privacy and comfort of their guests very seriously. There are no security cameras on the premises, but the house is protected with a Ring doorbell, and this is only in place for the safety of the property and every traveler. This new owner looks forward to providing all of their future guests with clean, comfortable, five-star experiences!

Beautiful home!

Bearadise is such a beautiful home! We take a couple’s trip to the mountains every Fall and this home was by far one of our favorites! The home felt like our own! It was well stocked with most everything that you could possibly ask for in the kitchen and throughout. Four couples had plenty of room to enjoy both social time and solitude. The multiple fireplaces sold the place! We were able to burn fires regardless of the weather. The downstairs deck provides shelter from the rain while still enjoying the fresh mountain air. The owners were very attentive to any and all questions! The location allowed us to both explore waterfalls and go into town to shop. We highly recommend it!

Second time we have stayed here with family. Ideal arrangement with the younger children downstairs with their own play room and older kids and adults on main floor. Nice country club setting with playground, river, and waterfall.

Large family reunion, second time renting Mountain Bearadise we love it! The house is big , comfortable, convenient to all the blue ridge has to offer. Waterfalls, hiking, fly fishing. Highly Recommend This House

This house was perfect for our family vacation. It is in a great location that is close to Cashiers, Toxaway, and Highlands. The house is exactly like it appears in the pictures and it lives up to its name, Bearadise! We spotted a brown bear during our visit which was so neat. The home is clean and spacious, with a large amount of outdoor seating on the oversized porches. This is the perfect stay for a family vacation or for a group of friends looking for a getaway. The owner was also great to communicate with and was extremely responsive. I can't recommend this house enough! I am sure we will be back in the future.

Mountain Bearadise

This is a beautiful home- inside and out. The home is well stocked, comfortable with lots of room for people to spread out. We enjoyed all the fireplaces and the deck spaces. It is beautifully decorated. We also appreciated the location and the privacy that it offered. We hiked to Rainbow Falls which was a short drive away (worth the effort; gorgeous!). We visited the Blue Ridge Parkway and stopped at several overlooks. We also spent a day in Sylva and Highlands; greatly enjoyed them both. Thank you Pam and Bruce for sharing your beautiful home with us!
