This lovely old home has the most modern interior that is a comfortable distance to Portsmouth without being in the city. Attention to detail was evident in the cleanliness as well as the fully stocked beverages that can be added to your bill. I was able to reach Doug immediately concerning check-in as I was having trouble getting my home internet and he was so helpful. Should we come back again we will definitely stay here as they even allowed our 58 pound dog Emma to be with us. Emma loved the walks to the Coast Guard Station and has already asked it we can go back as it is still warm in South Carolina. Thanks again.
The cutest place I have ever stayed in my life. First time to NH, and this was definitely the way to spend it. We were only there one night, but I didnât want to leave. The area is so cute with a short walk to the beach, and everything about this historic rental is amazing. The bed was so cozy, the bathroom was huge, they even had laundry and a SMEG FRIDGE! Everything was perfect & we canât wait to return.
The perfect spot for a quaint getaway for my husband's birthday, along with our dog! Kitchen was nice to cook dinner for the first night, as we didn't really want to go out after the travel up. It was nice to stay in and enjoy the property. We also went for a walk around the local neighborhood, which was very quiet and relaxing. Perfect sunset over by the yacht club down the street. On Saturday we took a short drive to Fort Foster in Kittery, ME where we were able to enjoy the day at the beach which was pet friendly for our dog (her first beach trip). She LOVED it! Wouldn't stop playing all day. Did need to buy a day pass online BEFORE going to the park, as they are doing contactless entry due to COVID. There is hardly any service at the park entrance so you must purchase before going. We enjoyed dinner in downtown Portsmouth, which I would highly recommend reservations for weekends as it is very very busy. All in all it was a very enjoyable time and my husband said he wishes to make this an annual trip. We really enjoyed ourselves! There was a lot of noise from the guests above us who had a toddler with them, who would jump off the bed and run back and forth across the room even in the middle of the night. It is a very old building so sound travels very easily. Also I would recommend a second pot holder for the kitchen, I tried to use a dish towel for a second holder and had burned my finger because it wasn't strong enough.
I own and operate several apart-hotels on NH's Seacoast: the Great Island Inn in New Castle, The Inn Downtown in Portsmouth, and The Rye Motor Inn in Rye.
