Our stay here was wonderful and we will definitely keep this in mind for the future visits to Phoenix.
Very nice layout and design. Very close to local shopping and dining.
The property was wonderful. Love the location and the space that we had. Steps were a little hard to go up. The Wi-Fi was not available and the unlocking instructions were not correct. Other than that, it was a beautiful location.
The carriage house was a wonderful place to stay. Very clean and comfortable.
There was a tiny glitch in the wifi which was taken care of promptly by the owner.
We were fortunate enough to stay while the orange and grapefruit trees had fruit. That was quite a nice surprise for us. The fruit was delicious.
Would highly recommend this property to anyone.
I really enjoyed my stay in the Carriage House! Bridget was so helpful with things I needed to figure out for running around town, even helping me figure out how to use some apps on my phone I wasn't familiar with! I really enjoyed hearing the muffled sounds of piano being played most evenings, and of family every now and then. It made me feel safe and cozy :) All was quiet by bedtime so no issues there.
Thank you for a lovely place to stay, even for just a few days!
The only downside were the steep stairs up to the unit. We knew they were there when we requested this spot. We did okay by limiting our goings and comings. Located in a very nice, safe neighborhood.
Spacious, quaint rental with everything you need. We enjoyed our stay at this VRBO. Fully equipped kitchen, Which was very handy so you didnât have to eat out all the time. Loved how the toilet and shower were separated from the sink area in the bathroom. Though some rods for hanging your towels would be useful. Also blinds in the kitchen area would be nice if youâre utilizing the living room for sleeping more people. The couch wasnât the most comfortable to sleep on, but also as fold out couches go wasnât expecting it to be. Sure perfect for kids. Believe they also have a blow up mattress available, which we didnât ask for. As the other person we were with said they were fine with the couch. Know another reviewer complained about the owners being loud. There was only 2 of the 5 nights we stayed that I remember hearing kids and the piano being played and to me it was at a reasonable hour; before 9 pm.
We spent the month of January in this rental. The owners did a beautiful job of transforming their attic into a rental. The kitchen was super cute, but, since it lacked upper cabinets, you basically had to get on your knees to access the dinner ware. We suggested to the owner that some shelves in the kitchen would be quite helpful as well as some towel bars in the bathroom for drying bath towels. (We hung them over the doors)
This place is great as long as you don't mind noise from the family below. This rental is directly above the family's living room. The bed is directly above the front door, which when it is used (slammed) will wake you from a sound sleep. The piano is played almost every day (as late as 9:30 pm)
We dreaded the weekends and actually tried to make plans to be gone.
One last note: Sewer gas comes out of the bathroom sink drain, so we kept it closed and used the kitchen sink to brush our teeth.
This is a beautiful carriage house. The pictures on the website are exactly what you'll see when you walk in the door.
The owners keep it very clean, and see to touches that make sure your stay is easy and pleasant.
The private entrance is great, you can come and go as early or late as you please without disturbing anyone.
Beyond the property itself being great, the neighborhood is beautiful and the downtown area of Gilbert is a neat place to walk around and get a cool breakfast or lunch.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.
Thanks for everything.
My parents built this home when I was 6 years old in 1979. When my father passed away, we purchased the family home from my mom. My dad had always talked about finishing the "attic". My wife and I created the carriage house to fulfill my Dad's dream. Ultimately, we built it so my Mom could have the option to move back in with us. Until then, we are renting it on VRBO, and have loved getting to know people from all over the country.
