Highlights of this Boho Dream; Electrical Vehicle-EV Charger, 510 sf, 1 Bedroom King/1 Bath with Queen sleeper sofa, kitchen, F/S fridge, washer/dryer, POOL, and less than 1 mile from hoppin’ Historic Downtown Gilbert! Luxuries of this space include a super comfy Tuft & Needle King mattress, walk-in shower, Air Fryer Convection Oven, Keurig Coffee Machine (pods, creamer, teas included) Microwave, Work Desk, Charcuterie Board, barcart, TV in the LR & BR, enormous patio, grassy lawn & a large pool. Mid-Century Modern & Boho charm galore!

The space
This rental has been a dream of ours for many, many years and has now come true! We have pulled out all the stops to make your stay with us a great adventure or a restful escape!!! Mark and I love a Stacation and one of our favorite things to do is to create a charcuterie board. You will find a beautiful board, knives and a cookbook to whet your appetite for romantic or fun appetizers.

You will also find everything that you need for a one night stay or an extended vacation. The cozy jewel is outfitted with a stacked washer/dryer, full sized refrigerator, 2 TVs, Microwave and Convection Oven. I love kitchen gadgets so expect to find almost everything you need in the kitchen. There is also a desk and chair if you have to set aside time to work during your stay.

The enormous patio leads to a newly renovated sparkling pool (not HEATED November - March) and grassy backyard surrounded by towering pine trees. It's more like a forest adventure than being in the middle of the desert! Enjoying your breakfast, lunch or dinner on the patio is lovely with all the birdsong and dragonflies all around. You are welcome to enjoy the fresh grapefruit and pomegranates from our trees when in season!

We have a 36 inch Blackstone Griddle that makes wonderful steaks, burgers, chicken, pancakes, hash browns, grilled veggies and all things grilled! You are welcome to use it throughout your stay.

The Desert Jewel is a special and magical place. We’ll have everything that you need to make your stay an incredible memory - we can’t wait to meet you!

There is a comfortable outdoor smoking area
ABSOLUTELY NO WILD PARTIES-THE POLICE WILL BE CALLED!!! The pool in not fenced! Watch children in the yard, patio and pool at all times! No lifeguard.
Quiet time; 10:00pm - 7:00am. Please be respectful of our neighbors during these hours.
No Smoking inside but we provide a comfortable outdoor smoking area. We have a small dog and cat that go outside. They are never allowed in the rental

Mark and J’Anne were amazing hosts. We communicated through out the reservation process and there were always very responsive. Mark was waiting for us when we arrived, he showed us the property and answered any questions.

We've been using VRBO for about 10 years and this property is the best experience of all time. This is my 5* review but I am adding a .From the time we arrived, during our stay our hosts Mark and J'Anne were incredibly attentive. Every need met and questions answered within minutes.They take their "Premier " status seriously. Very private area, well equipped kitchen, very nice decor. Oh and the bed and pillows (probably the most important part of being comfortable) so comfy. My husband's first words in the outside area was, "Wow it's so quiet". Thank you so much! We hope to return someday!

We really enjoyed our visit. We had medical appointments and it was so nice to go back and relax. It’s was quiet and comfortable. The pool, even at 107, stayed cool enough to get in. There’s shopping and some restaurants very close. Thanks so much.

This little place was awesome. The living space had a smart TV with a convertible couch. The kitchen was stocked. Plates, convection over, air fryer, fridge. The bedroom was beautifully decorated. Water pressure was on point. Quiet neighborhood. The pool had this awesome little seating area that was nice and shaded. Would Def recommend this spot to anyone looking for a low cost stay.

Arizona is amazing, we really enjoyed our stay at the Jewel. Mark and Janne were welcoming, honest and accommodating. This turned out to be the perfect spot for us being close to our family in Gilbert. It was a great home base for day trips and the pool was awesome to return too after a day of sightseeing. I would recommend the Jewel to family and friends. Cheers

Amazing place to stay!!!

It was easy to find, when we got there mark came and greeted us, showed us around and had lovely recommendations for places to visit. Overall it was very clean, had everything we could have needed, and was a very nice place to stay for the weekend. Would recommend to anyone visiting Gilbert 10/10!!!

Birthday trip

I take a trip somewhere every year for my birthday this year it was Gilbert Arizona, I chose this location and I couldn't have picked a better place. The hosts provide everything that you need. The pictures are accurate and they are extremely attentive. If you're looking for cute cozy getaway, I highly recommend this place.

Girls trip 2025

This was the perfect stay for our cross country trip! Mark met us at the door and showed us everything(which I absolutely loved!) You’re kinda in their backyard mother in law suite but you have your own entire space. J’anne has it decorated so cute and has everything you could possibly need there! The surrounding town is super safe, being 2 girls alone, I didn’t feel unsafe at all. This will definitely be on my list to stay again. Honestly the best check in/out process I’ve had anywhere!

Peaceful Paradise!

My mom and I were thrilled to return to The Jewel (Our 2nd stay) for sun, relaxation and to celebrate her 75th birthday. The hosts are wonderful, so warm and welcoming. The decor is beautiful. Their backyard is a treasure. The location is perfect, so close to downtown Gilbert. We enjoyed our favorite restaurants- Flancers, The Gilbert House and Joyride Taco to name a few. We loved our stay at The Jewel

Pleasant Property With Pool

Communication was easy and efficient with the owners. The unit has everything you’d need for a short stay, including all the kitchen supplies a person would need including spices. The best part was the outdoor patio and pool. Although the pool isn’t heated and was too cool to swim in, we enjoyed sitting by it in the sun and listening to all the bird calls. Very relaxing stay.

Everything except a stove. No detail overlooked. Pool was lovely although a shame the filter motor is not in an enclosed space—a little noisy against the peace of the backyard.
