Was an amazing home and a great location, we really enjoyed the simplicity of the visit. Everything was immaculate in the home and it was extremely cozy. We will visit again!
We had a great little vacation in Carmel. This little property was everything we were looking for. Convenient location. Beautiful backyard, lots of room for outdoor sitting and room for our kids to play and dog to run around. We would definitely rent this home again.
We loved our short stay at this storybook home! It is absolutely lovely and in a gorgeous location. The pics donât do it justice. The grounds are meticulous, and the home was very well laid out to accommodate our family. We all slept well and truly enjoyed our stay! The host was responsive and helpful as well. Totally recommend!
This place is ideal for anyone looking to have a nice getaway in Carmel. The house was great size for our group. (we had 6 people and dogs) The outdoor area was spacious and fenced in, so it was perfect for our dogs to run around and enjoy the outside. It is within walking distance from downtown Carmel, and 15 min drive to Monterey. We had a bit of issues with the door code not working, but the host was quick in responding and resolving any questions/issues I had throughout the weekend.
Nice cottage near D/T Carmel and 17 Mile Drive Gate
Everything was as advertised in the home. Very comfortable beds and a great back yard for hanging out. Would recommend some more patio furniture for future guests to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful Carmel climate, but wasn't a problem for us. We'll rent again when we're down playing golf on the worlds finest golf courses.
Great location easy walk to Carmel village. appeared to be recently remodeled. all accommodations or as described with expansive deck and backyard allowing for plenty of daytime guests and accommodating dogs as needed. Adhered to local parking regulations. Moderate Wi-Fi and some electrical lights not fully functional.
The location of this place was awesome. It was walking distance to Carmel Village. We hung out in the backyard with our two dogs. The only complaint would be how busy the street is. There was a large hole at the driveway and I have a 250 Ford pickup. My friends had a small Toyota. We bottomed out with our bikes on the back. The internet went down because the next door neighbor shut it off.
We were disappointed in many aspects of this property. There is a great deal of noise from the main street location which continues long into the night. The rooms are much smaller than we anticipated to accomodate 6 people...not even enough furniture in the living room for 6 people to sit. Typical items one would expect just weren't provided - for example, there were no floor mats/rugs in the bathrooms getting out off the shower. The kitchen was not very well appointed - plastic plates, mismatched glasses and silverware, old pots and pans. The stove was filthy and the bbq was as well and was rusted and burned out in spots making it completely useless. We have rented in two other homes in Carmel and had fantastic experiences. This was our first real disappointment.
This home is in a great location. It is just a short walk to the down town Carmel shops, restaurants and the beach. We enjoined walking around to see all the fairy tale cottages nearby. It was a clean, well stocked, comfortable rental property.
We ask to check in early before we rented the property and got a reply from the manager that it wouldn't be a problem. the day Before going I send a text to the manager in the VRBO inquiry and never got a response. When we arrived at the property none of the beds were made and the house hasn't been clean. Very disappointed for paying that kind of money for 3 nights and have this kind of experience. Jean Yves
This is a great house in a great location butâŠâŠWhen we checked found a working crew putting in new deckingâŠ.Although glad they caught issue before stepped on the deck it just set the tone. My sister was not able to use the door la to the deck from her room because unfortunately crew did not complete. The deck furniture was all on the ground floor so couldnât really use on deck as it wasnât ready. Drive way entrance has a huge slope and although it was mentioned in the listing it didnât really capture how bad the slope really is. I had a Tahoe and still it hit the bottom. Now for the plusesâŠ.great location on Ocean AveâŠ.walking distance to shops and restaurants. Fireplace great and room separation worked perfectly. Only 2 cocktail glasses which was odd considering loaded with wine glasses. Over all we still had a good time
My family loved this house! Located a brief walk from the main downtown stretch of Carmel, it was a confortable gathering place. The living room is quite large and the backyard is huge and exceptionally well-maintained. Everyone was very happy with the house.
Our family had a wonderful stay at the home in Southeast Carmel. The home has a well stocked kitchen and plenty of warm blankets for cool evenings. We really enjoyed the beautiful back yard with 2 big eating areas and large deck area for relaxing. The location was perfect as our family enjoys being able to walk to stores and restaurants. Beautiful State Parks are a short drive away for anyone who loves nature. We would definitely stay in this home again!
The house itself is lovely. Clean, comfortable beds & linens, and great outdoor space in the back. It is also a straight shot to downtown Carmel in a safe neighborhood and very walkable. Getting into the driveway, however, involves crossing a large ditch and this was not disclosed to us. Fortunately I have an SUV so it wasn't a problem, but if you have a car that is low to the ground then you likely wouldn't be able to get in and out of the driveway and would have to park elsewhere. The lockpad on the door allowed us to unlock and enter but it would not allow us to lock the door from the outside so we had to lock the front door from inside then exit the house through a door in the back that we could lock and just close behind us. I notified the property manager and he said he would have someone come fix it but then never followed up and no one came to fix it. This brings me to communication with the property manager. We had a very unfortunate and unexpected death in the family and needed to adjust our stay. It also meant only half of us could be there. When I reached out to ask if he would give us a refund considering the circumstances his response was simply that it would be hard for him to rebook - no actual yes or no answer or options for any flexibility. I suggested that we could come for two other nights that week and requested he refund us for the third that we could not make. He was willing to shift the dates to allow for the nights that we could be there but refused to refund us for the third night that we could not be there. He said he would open it up on VRBO and refund us if it booked but when I looked it was not actually open for others to book. Best advice if you book this place - get the travel insurance.
