Creek View Cottage avec terrasse

Bienvenue dans votre maison loin de chez vous. SituĂ© en retrait d'une route rurale directement sur un ruisseau murmurant, ce chalet pittoresque possĂšde une cuisine mise Ă  jour avec des appareils en acier inoxydable et une Ăźle oĂč vous pouvez vous asseoir le matin pour dĂ©guster votre cafĂ© et admirer le ruisseau et le rhododendron. Vous aurez peut-ĂȘtre la chance de voir des cerfs venir au ruisseau pour prendre un verre. Toutes les chambres sont au mĂȘme niveau, Ă  l'exception de la vĂ©randa fermĂ©e qui est Ă  un Ă©tage plus bas. Une laveuse et une sĂ©cheuse sont situĂ©es dans le placard de la cuisine. Par temps chaud, asseyez-vous sur le pont de Creek House ou dĂ©tendez-vous avec un bon livre devant la cheminĂ©e Ă  bois Ă  l'intĂ©rieur. La chambre a un lit queen. Le salon a un canapĂ©-lit queen.

Peaceful and relaxing stay

Wonderful place!

Our 2 day stay was wonderful! The house and grounds were very clean and extremely well equipped. We really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The location was very peaceful and relaxing. We truly hope to stay again.

Great stay at Poplar Run Retreat

Poplar Run Retreat is a lovely place to stay for 5 nights! Alta has made sure that the cottage is well maintained with lots of extras. We enjoyed cycling the GAP and visiting Fallingwater.

Poplar Oasis

We enjoyed the grounds of this lovely creek retreat just as much as the sweet house. Nestled along a creek, with a koi pond, fire pit and covered picnic area with a hot tub, and a deck over the water (in front of the small cabin that we did not rent, but the deck was available to us, it was our family oasis for a few days. Convenient to Fallingwater and Ohiopyle! Alta was great and the house had everything we needed. We will stay again!

More than we could imagine!

Property is WELL maintained with attention to detail throughout. We all enjoyed our stay, the house, the creek , the fish pond, the picnic area, the hot tub! Secluded Retreat

The attention to details was fantastic! House was super clean! Mini-splits work great to keep house cool! (Note: there is a distinct wood burn smell inside from the indoor woodburning fireplace which we didn't use.) The babbling brook is fantastic! The window seat is fantastic! The hot tub is fantastic! Outdoor spaces are wonderful! Would stay again!

Great Getaway

We had a great stay! The property is nicely kept and in beautiful scenery. We had a nice time reading and playing games by the fireplace. In warmer months I'm sure that the property would be very enjoyable. Alta was a very pleasant host and had a welcome basket for us. All communication was very kind and clear. She even allowed us to check out late because there was not another booking coming in right away. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to come back sometime.

Creekside Cottage

We enjoyed a brief stay at the cottage while we explored key local attractions including Ohiopyle, Fallingwater, Polymath Park and Kentuck Knob. Our hosts provided a lovely welcome basket and left useful information about the area. We did not end using the hot tub even though it was all ready upon our arrival. We particularly liked the calming, gurgling sounds of the creek that runs along the back of the property.

We loved this cabin! It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable - and the creekside location was beautiful. Our host, Alta, was also excellent. She provided a lovely welcome basket and a giant binder of all of the area attractions and places to eat.This cabin is centrally located in the Laurel Highlands. We were able to drive to Fallingwater, Ohiopyle and Ligonier, PA easily. Each drive was less than 30 minutes. We would definitely stay here again.

We loved our stay at Poplar Run Retreat. The cottage was cozy and welcoming. Alta, our host, was immediately accessible but not needed because everything we needed was already anticipated and provided. Expectations were clearly communicated with property explanations and check-out directions. We especially loved the creek side deck, listening to nature, the gentle gurgle of the creek, and watching dappled sunlight moving through the treetops in the morning while sipping coffee in the sunroom. Looking forward to returning in the spring when the walls of rhododendrons are in full bloom.

We spent our 1st year Anniversary at this lovely resort feel secluded quaint home for a weekend. Excellent space with everything you could possibly need! Everything is clearly labeled and exactly where you need it. The hot tub is dreamy in the evenings. The creek was shallow and nice to splash around in. Be sure to get some ice cream at See-Mor's All-Star Grill's window just down the street. Lots of great hiking and waterfalls in the area.

The views are stunning—trees, pond, creek, and the kind of quiet you don’t realize you need until you have it.The house itself is beautifully maintained, with charming touches that make it feel like a true retreat. We especially loved the spacious creekside porch, the fire pit area, the hot tub, and how close it was to trails and outdoor adventures. It’s the perfect mix of rustic and comfortable.The hosts were responsive and thoughtful, providing everything we needed for a smooth and relaxing stay. Great Cabin Get Away

My husband and I stayed here for a weekend get-away. The house was very nice. Had all the amenities that we wanted and needed. Welcome basket was very thoughtful. Host was prompt with communication. The property was very relaxing. The sound of rushing water and nature made for a peaceful time to enjoy my coffee in the morning. Although the weather was not great, we were still able to enjoy the surrounding state parks which were all close by.

Serene and soothing stay, thoughtful host

The Creekside Cottage exceeded expectations. We chose this property based on it's location between Polymath Park and Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, where we scheduled tours across a weekend. However, upon check-in, we immediately wished we could stay longer. Check-in and communication was a breeze. We walked into a welcoming space with a little treat basket and note from our host, Alta. How sweet! The cottage is spacious and inviting. All the modern amenities are present, the space is spotlessly clean, and it still feels warm and relaxed. The window seat overlooking the bird feeder, yard, and creek is such a cozy spot to unwind. Everything is clearly labeled, instructions are easy to follow, and the hosts provide many extras that agency-run VRBOs lack. The entire setup is really turnkey and made us feel at ease immediately. The outdoor space is wonderful and beautifully maintained. A huge fire pit space (with wood available), plenty of seating and relaxation areas, hot tub, koi pond (with a little frog, too!), corn hole, fishing spots...there was too much to even use over the weekend we stayed. The additional cabin deck overlooking the creek offers a great spot to take in the natural beauty of the area. We're already thinking of coming back and renting the cabin as well so a few friends can enjoy this little piece of paradise with us. We enjoyed our stay and it truly felt like a home away from home - but better.
