Our family of 5 had a wonderful stay here. There was plenty of space in the condo for all 5 of us. A short walk get on the mountain, and ski in right to the condo door which was super convenient. The condo had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
Great location
Very easy ski in and out
Could use a few updates inside
Mattresses and kitchen appliances
But great spot super easy to get to the gondola and base area
Prows: Nice location. 100 yard Walk out, ski in right up to door. Great views off deck. Kitchen fully stocked. (Plenty of new pots, pans, knifes etc. check-in was easy.
Cons: Beds could use an update. Had 6 towels for 5 days. Asked for additional and was told no. No oven or in suite washer/dryer. Bring at least couple dollars in quarters if you plan on washing a load.
Overall nice space. Not super fancy but nice.
Been going to Steamboat for 50 years and most of those years I / we have stayed at Storm Meadows. The property is older so for sure we expect some things but this year, we had no OVEN. That's a new one. We also had to call maintenance to get our TV working. A REALLY nice guy came and fixed it but it was 24 hours after calling. When we called the office was still open but they didn't answer.
When we left, they checked the packet I turned in and said all was in order. We drove away with the parking pass. I was disappointed that both they and we missed that. It cost me 58.00 to send it overnight to them. Be SURE to remember to turn in your parking pass.
Other than not having an OVEN and the TV taking 24 hours to get fixed all was well. We will be back next year - hopefully an oven will appear!
This place seemed too good to be true at the price, and it was. While a great value, renters should know a number of things. 1. The construction is peculiar. One bedroom has no baseboard heat and instead relies on a portable radiator. One of the bathrooms was so small that the shower door and bathroom door could not be open at the same time. 2. There is a microwave with a convection oven, but no actual oven. The only thing we wanted to make was frozen pizza, and there was no way to do it. 3. The square footage is small. A family of six might be okay, but six adults would not work very well. 4. There was a spot in one bedroom for a dresser, but nothing was there so the floor was where clothes were stored. 5. It is ski in, but walk out. The walk is not bad, but it's definitely a walk. I think this unit was ski in until the resort added new condos closer to the hill.
All in all, I would stay here again, but it is a good idea to lower expectations.
