Ce chalet est actuellement mis à niveau, peint, meublé et décoré. Une fois rafraîchi, nous publierons de nouvelles photos et ouvrirons le calendrier. Nous prévoyons qu'il sera prêt d'ici le 7 février.
Nous espérons que vous apprécierez cette histoire unique Outer Banks Beach Cottage historique. Nous sommes situés entre les autoroutes, juste en face de la plage. Cette maison comprend 3 chambres et 1 1/2 salles de bain. Le parking est juste en face de vos marches. Nous avons toutes les commodités nécessaires pour profiter de fabuleuses vacances à la plage - chaises de plage, barbecue au charbon de bois en plein air, un porche pour s'asseoir et profiter de la brise fantastique de l'océan et rester à l'abri du soleil. Cette unité a été améliorée et dispose de la climatisation et du chauffage central. Nous avons une cuisine bien équipée si vous choisissez de rester et de cuisiner vos propres repas. Pour le divertissement, nous avons une Smart TV de 65 pouces pour votre service de streaming, Netflix, Hulu etc.

We were just there for our daughters birthday, house was clean, didn’t know there were ac units in the windows and no washing machine to put towels in like the checkout instructions said!

We installed a few window units to handle the highest temps during the summer. We are so sorry that they offended you, of course, all you had to do was turn them off and voila....no issue. If there was a wash machine, we would have listed it as an amenity.

Relaxation

My spouse and I needed a little separation from all the life's influences. This place fit the bill perfectly. Right across from the beach so we could hear the water. The ease of access to said beach couldn't have been better. Already have 2 more planned.

Pretty decent

The house is a little older which I’m cool with because I live in an older house, but do feel like it could be updated and fixed up a little more. It was clean, and communication with the owner was good, as well as the location. Overall it was a good experience.

Not what we expected.

Photos of this property were very misleading. There was a large hole in the bottom of one bedroom door, material used to repair another door flaked off when the door was closed, mildew in the shower in the master bath, the cubby hole where the coffee pot was looked like they started to paint and quit halfway thru, paint chipping on all the windows, damaged lamp shade in the living room. I wish I could attach the pictures I took. Very overpriced. The property was clean enough and we all agreed the beds were comfortable, but the rest was very disappointing.

And yet the photos are of the property. How were they misleading? Yes there was damage to the bottom of an interior door. Thank you for letting us know so that it can be repaired. And yes some paint is flaking from the windows. Our little beach home, older to be sure, may not be perfect, but we love it and think it's a great spot for your family to come and enjoy the OBX at a great price! And yes a new lampshade has been installed.

Diamond in the rough

Been at this property before, and had a great stay, but this time the house was not cleaned before arrival, seems like the owner is done with this property, just waiting to sell or something, lots of little repairs needed to walls doors , floors , hvac , electrical, this used to be a beautiful old beach cottage, had many great memories here, but they have just let this property fall apart, so this will be our last stay here, reached out to owner about issues and was told would be refunded cleaning fee, yet to see that, very disappointed in property and would think, that VRBO, would hold owners to so kind or standards for cleanliness and home repairs

Good Location

Stayed here for a long weekend with my husband and our dogs. The location was the best part of this property . It was very close to the beach, not even a 2 minute walk! Upon check in, we noticed the smell. Which it’s an older house so that was okay with us. But the first time we ran a shower, there was a pretty decent leak coming through one of the bedroom ceilings that was soaking the carpet. I think this had to do with the smell. Also, in the bathrooms, we noticed a TON of fruit flys/gnats. We did our best to kill what we could but there were still right many hanging around. Luckily they stuck to the bathrooms for the most part. The one this that was really annoying about this house was the wifi. It did not work pretty much the whole time we were there, which would have been fine with us if the place had cable. But there was just a smart tv with no cable and apps that run off wifi. There wasn’t much else to do at night besides watch tv due to the quarantine, and it really sucked that most nights we couldn’t. Aside from the gnats, the place was clean and the kitchen well stocked. One recommendation I have though is PORCH FURNITURE. It’s such a nice porch, but they have no furniture. We used our beach chairs. The property owners were very responsive though and tried to help with wifi issues.

Thank you for the comments. Many improvements have been made with upgraded WiFi; Repairs to the leaks and the smell!! And yes we are adding outdoor furniture. Unfortunately, some problems existed as we also had no access to the island during the shutdown. I hope you come back and enjoy another stay with us - minus the issues!

sweet little cottage

The house was in a beautiful neighborhood right off the beach, and well kept. The Central A/C did not work very well, but the weather was not very hot so it didn't impact our stay.

Awesome Stay!

We stayed in this cottage for one night before our weekly rental was ready. It was a great location and only a few steps to the beach! Communication with the property manager and owner was top notch. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone!

Great Getaway!

We really enjoyed our stay at Queen Anne’s Revenge. It was so close to a great beach. Very few steps which was great for my injured friend. Lots of cute thoughtful touches. Loved the turtle sheets!

It was a little over priced I think but location was pretty nice.

Location was great. The property was a little dirty when we arrived and very out dated. Fruit flies and ants were very bad. Washer and dryer was so loud we couldn't stand to be inside while running. The check in and communication with the owners was pretty simple. The kids loved the beach so instead of trying to move everything to a hotel we decided to just stay a extra night. Over all the stay was great. Just needs a little tlc.

Lots of room for a boat!

We decided we would try this house instead of Kathleen's other house because of the extra bathroom. Her cottages were the only two that were available and could accommodate a boat for our last minute fishing trip. Kathleen was quick to answer my questions and made our last minute trip possible! After reading previous reviews we trusted that she had taken care of the issues, and she had! The place was very clean, no gnats or leaking. The beds were also very comfy, my husband slept very well which is very uncommon for him when not at home! The Captain and his crew were very pleased with this cottage. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

Listing is misleading

It says it sleeps up to 8 adults. I had 2 adults and 6 children (2 of whom slept in a pack and play). Once I checked out, it charged me a lot of money for additional guests. I tried to work it out with the owner but they stated this was their policy, even though it's not listed anywhere on the page. The house itself was decent. It was missing a microwave plate and one was supposed to be dropped off but never was. The mattresses were terrible and I ended up having to sleep on the couch. I probably would not rent here again due to the misleading information on the page. Paying all that additional money for babies to sleep in a pack and play is ridiculous and no other property I rented from in the area has done that.

It will be fully stocked, clean and comfortable - We will stock it with all bed linens, towels, paper towels and toilet paper - just bring your tooth brush!

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

This Historic Single level home sits just across the street from the beach. The beach itself is very seldom populated with crowds. It's a great place to fish and surf or just relax and enjoy the beach and sun!

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

If you love the original architecture of the "Original OBX Beach Cottages" you will love our Queen Anne's Revenge. Perfectly constructed with moisture and insect resistant Birch Wood, these cottages are being lost to the large Modern Vacation Homes. This is one of the few remaining originals and we hope you will love the character and stress free living as it was intended here on the OBX.
