CHALET MID-OAKS avec vue sur le lac MI et accès

Le confort abonde! Ce chalet de 3 chambres 1. 5 salles de bain a tout! Un grand plafond voûté en pin noueux salon / salle à manger avec cheminée d'origine. Un grand espace pour lire, jeux en famille, dîner autour de la grande table de la ferme.

Une cuisine complète avec coin salon permet tout le confort de la maison, y compris un lave-vaisselle et une cuisine entièrement équipée.

D'un côté de la maison, vous trouverez 2 chambres (une reine et les 2 autres simples) et une salle de bain complète. De l'autre côté de la maison, près de la cuisine, vous trouverez une chambre (queen) de bonne taille avec sa propre 1/2 salle de bain. Les parents peuvent être d'un côté de la maison avec les enfants de l'autre.

Il y a une grande terrasse qui fait face au lac Michigan pour profiter de nos magnifiques couchers de soleil! Dîner en plein air, quelqu'un? Nous avons également notre propre chemin qui mène en bas de la colline à une courte promenade jusqu'à une plage publique du lac Michigan (environ 5 minutes à pied). Ou montez dans la voiture et conduisez 2 minutes vers le canal où nous avons une autre plage gratuite du lac Michigan pour en profiter!

Cette propriété a transféré la propriété à l'automne 2019 à la famille d'origine qui a construit la maison. Les locataires qui ont apprécié la maison les années précédentes ... tout est resté le même (mobilier, etc.). Nous améliorons seulement votre séjour! Tous les draps sont fournis!

Great house close to the beach

Very clean and well stocked. Short walk to the beach. It's also nice to walk down to Medbury park and back along the beach to the house.

Historic, quiet cottage by the lake

This classic, 3 bedroom cottage has a big deck, big front yard, and well equipped kitchen. Short walk or drive to quiet (even on Labor Day weekend) and lovely Lake Michigan beach. Surrounded by giant oak trees, just as the name "Midoaks" suggests. Great, restful weekend for us.

Perfect family get away

The home has a fabulous location and is well appointed. Loads of fun things provided that we didn’t even know we needed. Our grandchildren came for dinners and there were toys and books for them to enjoy. The big hit though was the red high stool that my three year old granddaughter claimed as her seat at the table. I had some lovely conversations with the property manager who was very responsive.

Excellent accommodations and beach access

House was extremely clean and had all the supplies needed. The only recommendation we have would have is to make the path from the house to Old Channel Trail (road that leads to beach access) clearly marked and free of poison ivy. The beach is only a 1/4 mile from the house so is easily within walking distance. Despite this, we would and hopefully will be able to rent Mid Oaks again. Thanks to the owners for making Mid Oaks available and to Rochelle for being so responsive during our stay!

Charming cottage

We enjoyed a one week stay at Mid Oaks with the purpose to relax. The picture window was one of the best features for the view of Lake Michigan through the trees and a perfect table to do a puzzle on in front of it. We usually drove to the beach access road by Old Channel Inn which had easy parking on weekdays.There is no TV but the wifi worked for streaming and there is a collection of CD's to listen to. The inside was clean and cozy with a well stocked kitchen. We would stay again!

Cute Country Beach Cottage

Loved our stay here. The cottage was exactly as described and many amenities were provided. The beds are super comfortable and we really enjoyed just hanging out together. Just pay attention to the very late (4:00 pm) check in time and the very early (10:00 am) check out time. Also, even though we paid a hefty cleaning fee, we were still expected to strip beds, wash towels, etc, and be out as early at 10:00 am - and there are people waiting to make sure that you are out exactly at 10:00 - that seemed a tad bit creepy but I did appreciate the management letting us get in a bit early (3:30) so that we could make an evening event.

lake access is miss leading. Walking to lake not safe from this property. Steep hill no trail comes to road at dangerous curve. House is not well-maintained rotten wood in a couple of places. Ceiling fan /in living room didn't work killed at least a dozen large spiders' dead mouse on basement floor looked like it a been there a while.

Vintage Charm

Mid Oaks is a charming little 1940s cabin. Beds and linens were nice. Well stocked kitchen. Comfy cozy. Nice location. View a bit less than expected, but decent. Fireplace was a nice addition, as it was rainy and chilly a good portion of our visit. Beach access was a super quick drive. Channel Inn super nice little place for dinner…. Staff were so friendly and food solid. Very close also. Holland is only an hour away. This cabin has/had septic tank/plumbing issues, as we frequently got whiffs of sewer gas, inside and out. Apparently this is going to be fixed soon. Also had to clean out the fireplace-as it was quite full of old ash and charcoal- pretty pungent. All aside….. darling place!

Very Nice House

The house was super clean. The main bathroom was modern and updated. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need. The nearby beach was wonderful and we practically had the place to ourselves (our visit was in August). A head's up that the path to the beach goes down a very steep hillside with a narrow footpath. We were fine, but you might not want to send Grandma walking down it. :) There was also parking for about 6 cars down by the beach and space to drop people off- so that's an option.

Very nice place to stay

Really nice little place to stay. Had an internet issue but they got it fixed that day. No TV, but it worked out okay with streaming for the kids. Nice area, cool beach to visit.

Lake trip

A great stay with friends at an excellent location. Just a short walk to the beach in a somewhat remote location. Overall great experience, there was just some communication issues with getting the needed info for the property.

Wonderful Stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at this cottage. There was soft music playing when we arrived and a basket of treats (fresh eggs, granola bars, water and local jam). It was a lovely touch to make us feel welcomed. The cottage is very nicely decorated/furnished and was clean. The kitchen was well stocked. Our son loved playing in the front yard area and we loved the beautiful views of Lake Michigan. We got to see two storms come in and two very beautiful sunsets. The cottage is a super short drive to a nice beach and we enjoyed going every day. There is a way to walk to the beach from the cottage but we didn't try that out because we had a toddler with us. It was a great setting for making family memories. We would absolutely stay here again whenever we are back in Michigan!

Great family vacation spot!

We loved our stay at mid oaks! We loved the history and overall feeling of the cottage. It was great being so close to the lake. The furniture and bedding was all very comfortable. We stayed during a cooler week and were glad. Cooking in the kitchen gets really hot so we tried to only use the kitchen at breakfast and mostly used the grill. It would’ve been nice to have an extra set of towels and hand towels and a laundry basket for going up and down from the basement. And another note for anyone coming with small children, there isn’t a bathtub. Just standup shower. These aren’t complaints, just notes. Everything was really clean and well taken care of. If you have kids and loads of stuff you will probably want to drive down to the beach but we never had an issue with parking down there. We enjoyed a concert at the bandshell, icecream at the old time soda fountain, and coffee and books from the book shop. I would love to come back next summer!

An Very Enjoyable Stay at Mid-Oaks

My family and I had such an enjoyable stay at Mid-Oaks. We spent our days visiting some nearby nature preserves and sunning and reading on the beach which is just a short walk from the cottage. The weather was a little cool, but that made for cozy nights by the fireplace. We felt very welcomed as we entered the clean and fresh cottage and were greeted with fresh eggs, a welcome basket, and soft music playing. What a lovely place! Thanks!

Quiet & Charming Lake House

This house was a charming respite from city life. We got to see the sunset over Lake Michigan each night while drinking wine and reading books near a roaring fire! The trees and the beach were so full of bright and beautiful colors in the fall! Easy communication with the owner. House was very clean and well-equipped (toiletries, spices, and kitchen gadgets).
