Nous sommes très enthousiasmés par notre nouveau projet, Isla Retreats, qui a été achevé en mai 2017. Notre objectif principal pour Isla Retreats est de fournir une expérience unique, tranquille et unique aux Caraïbes et au Mexique. Les invités peuvent s'éloigner de l'agitation du centre-ville et de la vie quotidienne pour se détendre et savourer l'île charmante. Nous avons conçu l'espace commun pour créer une ambiance paisible avec une piscine d'eau salée avec des cascades, des chaises de plage et des parapluies, des jardins tropicaux et une palapa exquise. Nous voulions garder autant d'espaces verts que possible, donc nous avons conçu la propriété avec de nombreuses plantes tropicales et des cocotiers. Il existe également d'innombrables sculptures en marbre et en onyx sculptées à la main dans toute la propriété.

Isla Retreats est situé à cinq minutes du centre-ville et de Playa Norte, au début du quartier sûr et charmant, Salina Chica, juste après l'aéroport et le collège Bachilleres. À distance de marche, vous trouverez un terrain de tennis et de basket, de nombreux magasins locaux, des épiceries et des endroits pour acheter du jus, des fruits et des légumes frais. Il est facile d'attraper un taxi en face de la propriété pour aller au centre-ville ou à la plage. Le stationnement est également disponible pour les chariots de golf. Isla Retreats est privé, mais proche du centre-ville où vous trouverez de nombreux magasins, restaurants, bars et musique live. Si vous voulez rester dans le quartier et ne pas aller en ville, Isla Retreats est situé à distance de marche de nombreux restaurants populaires: Rosa Sirena, Da Luisa, Café Mango, Caribbean Brisas, Kash Keken Chuc et Green Verde, pour n'en nommer que quelques-uns. Nous sommes situés à trois pâtés de maisons de l'épicerie principale de l'île, Chedruai, qui comprend un certain nombre d'aliments importants, une boulangerie, une belle sélection de vins et de liqueurs.

Notre piscine d'eau salée est réservée aux clients séjournant à Isla Retreats et Casa de Katy. Pour garder le terrain calme, sûr et privé, nous n'autorisons pas l'utilisation de la piscine par des personnes qui ne restent pas à Isla Retreats ou Casa de Katy. Vous pouvez apprécier les sons de la cascade lorsque vous vous asseyez au bord de la piscine ou sous la palapa. La palapa et la piscine sont parfaites pour le café et le jus d'orange frais le matin, et des cocktails en soirée - ou en tout temps!

Il y a 6 villas à Isla Retreats. Tous sont haut de gamme, décorés avec goût et entièrement meublés avec tout ce dont vous aurez besoin pour votre séjour. Toutes les villas disposent d'une télévision à écran plat, de la télévision par câble, d'une station d'accueil pour iPod et d'un accès Internet WiFi haute vitesse. Nous fournissons des serviettes de plage et des serviettes de bain, des draps de haute qualité, un sèche-cheveux et un fer et une planche à repasser pour votre usage. Il existe un coffre-fort dans la chambre pour stocker vos objets de valeur et vos passeports. Le service de ménage (tous les jours ou selon les besoins) est disponible sans frais supplémentaires. Le personnel sur place est disponible pour accueillir nos clients dans la mise en place de locations de chariots de golf et d'autres activités.

La villa # 5 est située au deuxième étage, à l'arrière du complexe, surplombant Salina Chica. Il y a un lit king size, une cuisine comprenant un réfrigérateur, une plaque de cuisson à 2 brûleurs, un four, un micro-ondes, une cafetière et un grille-pain. Profitez de magnifiques couchers de soleil et d'observation des oiseaux sur le balcon donnant sur Salina Chica.

La villa n ° 5 est unique en ce qu'elle possède un patio privé sur le toit donnant sur le lagon derrière la propriété Isla Retreats et le quartier Salina Chica. Il y a aussi une vue partielle sur l'océan!

Great get away

We really loved Isla retreat. It was very calming and peaceful. Katy left no stone unturned, she assisted in ferry rides, golf cart rental even food suggestions. I really appreciated her extended family who happened to be there, they were so kind and entertaining! The facility was immaculate we will be back.

Everything was great. Quiet, peaceful. Salt water pool. The owner was great. Communication. Cleanliness. Comfort. Price. No complaints at all. Even the cat kept a watch on our golf cart lol.

Beautiful, relaxing and super clean

Absolutely loved this property from beginning to end! Katy's communication from the beginning was wonderful. She was very informative about what to expect. She booked our golf cart and had it on site and ready for us upon arrival then booked our taxi to take us to ferry on the day of departure. While staying, Katy was very responsive to any questions. The location and property were wonderful. We loved the fact that it is a small property with beautiful landscaping and very clean. All the staff were so friendly. Room was spacious and very clean. We would definitely stay again!

Absolutely stunning property

This is mine and my husbands 7th visit to the island over the last 2-3 years. My only regret is not having found this beautiful property sooner! It was absolutely everything we wanted and needed. The pool is clean and peaceful. The location is great. It’s about 5-10 mins by golf cart to north beach an about 10-15 to the south end. Honestly the perfect location. Katy was incredibly helpful and very responsive. We can’t wait to come back. We stayed 4 nights, but it’s so comfortable, we wanted to stay a few more nights! We are already looking forward to our next visit.

This Upscale Resort Is Immaculate

The attention to detail and the thoughtful gestures made our experience truly unforgettable. First and foremost, the communication with the Katy was exceptional. She were prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Katy has put a great deal of effort into maintaining a pristine environment. It felt as though we were the first and only guests to ever set foot in the resort. The attention to cleanliness and hygiene provided us with peace of mind and allowed us to fully enjoy our stay. Furthermore, the thoughtful touches and amenities provided by the Katy truly made us feel welcome. From the bottle of wine left for us to enjoy to the abundance of towels and toiletries available, we felt like every detail had been carefully considered. If you want to enjoy the island without the rowdiness and drunken behavior of other tourists this is the place to be. The sweet kitties that stay outside did it for me. We couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay. We will definitely be back! Book your stay at Isla Retreats, you will love it!

Great little gem of a place.

What a wonderful oasis this place is. The suite was beautiful, super clean and extremely well equipped. The little saltwater pool was perfect. The small garden area fit perfectly. But the best thing was Katy, the awesome host. She was extremely friendly and super helpful with any questions of the area. She pointed us to all the best eateries and places to check out. She had a golf cart ready for us on arrival and looked after its return afterwards. We highly recommend Isla Retreats for you next stay in Isla Mujeres.

The grounds at Isla Retreats are beautiful! The villas are very tastefully done and thoughtfully furnished. We had everything we needed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Katy is a fabulous host! We appreciated meeting her and seeing all she has done to create a beautiful environment.

Everything you didn't know you wanted

A beautiful oasis with privacy. The property is a tropical treasure and everyone on staff are very kind and inviting. The small private deck overlooking the Canal was a nice surprise and we enjoyed watching birds with our coffee in the morning and our wine in the evening.

was a great place to stay for a couple in their 50s first time for isla. The initial impresson from the street was not impressive, but.. just fabulous the minute we got in the small complex. the deck on unit 5 that gave a wonderful private lagoon view was awesome. Katy and dave were terrific hosts!! the heated pool was perfect. overall a wonderful say for a great wwek in Isla!!

Very clean and private. Beautiful property!

Beautiful property and villas. Perfect for individuals or groups. We were part of a group of 10. We stayed in #5. Maids were impeccable. Restaurants are within walking distance or take a cheap taxi ride downtown to other wonderful restaurants. Katy is a wealth of knowledge on the island. We rented a golf cart for 2 days to explore the island, which Katy lined up for us as well. We can't wait to go back!

Beautiful, peaceful and perfectly situated

This was the second time we stayed here- in the exact same villa. The villa itself is well-appointed and has a beautiful view of the lagoon on the patio. Nature is abundant and we enjoyed taking in the sunsets from our room. Overall, the setting is a peaceful and perfectly maintained retreat. The host (Katy)is amazing and very attentive to everything. This year, avoiding the crowds downtown during the holiday season, we spent many warm days relaxing by the pool reading and talking with the other guests. Our family joined us this year and spent a relaxing time in two other adjoining villas on the property. It was a perfect family vacation.Note that the retreat is located in a quiet part of the island. In the mornings we would buy fresh tacos, eggs and fresh squeezed juice down the street and cook our own breakfasts. The villa is a short walk to excellent neighborhood restaurants. Its close enough to walk to down town - but its a short golf cart ride as well. This year, Katy arranged our cart ahead of time for us! In summary: Absolutely perfect for a long and relaxing getaway! We hope to return to the exact same villa next year!

Lovely, quiet and perfectly located.

Isla Retreats is exactly as advertised - quiet, modern, and very comfortable. It was nice to be away from the bustle of downtown while still only a 50 peso taxi ride away. This is a great location from which to enjoy all that the island has to offer. There are restaurants, grocery stores and bars within walking distance but the secure premises of Isla Retreats offers serenity. The lovely pool was great to come back to after a day touring the island or at the beach. We stayed in Villa 5 and it was perfect for a couple - the bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was fully outfitted and the rooftop patio was a wonderful place to watch the sun set. Katy was very accommodating and the staff were lovely. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved this place! Great, new place. Clean, great attention to detail with the landscaping. The room was super clean. The bed was very comfy. The staff were welcoming. We will definitely be recommending this place to others (and hopefully will be back ourselves).

Beautiful, peaceful, safe, home away from home!

We had a great time at Isla Retreats, it’s safe, clean and beautiful. From the moment we arrived Katy made us feel at home! I wold definitely reccomend this place to anyone coming to the island. Each Villa has a beautiful outdoor space for relaxing, very private and comfortable.

Beautiful property! Perfect location!! Best vacation ever!!

We booked Isla Retreats, and villa #5 based on the amenities for the cost or "bang for the buck" as we like to say, and it absolutely did NOT disappoint!! This is place is AMAZING! From the moment we walked in, we knew we had made the right decision. Everything was pristine, from the beautiful pool and palapa area, to the sculptures and landscaping. It truly was, a little slice of heaven. What we didn't know when we arrived, was how great of a host Katy was!! She would always stop whatever she was doing, and make sure even the smallest of our needs were met! She has also lived on Isla for many years, and always had the best recommendations for meals, activities, etc... In summary, with over 20 trips to the Cancun area, we've decided this one was our favorite! We will be back soon, and won't look anywhere else but Isla Retreats!!

Isla Retreats is owned and operated by father and daughter team, Dave and Katy Hochmayr. We bought the property in 2006, but did not begin construction until February of 2016. We began coming to Isla Mujeres in 1989 and it soon became our second home. We love the unique family and cultural ambiance on the island that creates a very comfortable and relaxing place to live and vacation.

We purchased the property where Isla Retreats is located as an empty lot in 2006 and began building in February of 2016. We are very excited to have finally finished the project in May of 2017. The design and vision of Isla Retreats came from Dave - he creatively thought of the most unique details that make this property so exceptional.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Our main goal for Isla Retreats is to provide an adults only, tranquil and unique Caribbean-Mexican experience. Guests can get away from the hustle-bustle of downtown and everyday life to relax and savor the lovely island. We designed the common area to create a peaceful ambience featuring a salt-water pool with waterfalls, beach chairs and umbrellas, tropical gardens and an exquisite palapa. We wanted to keep as much green-space as possible, so we designed the property with many tropical plants and coconut trees. There are many extraordinary hand-carved marble and onyx sculptures throughout the property as well.

With over 15 years experience of living and working on the island, and being fluent in both Spanish and English, Katy will be able to answer all of your questions relating to your vacation at Isla Retreats throughout the reservation process.
