The place was good for a short stay...no dresser for clothes was the only bad thing on that front, but the ac did not work. I contact the host right away. I stayed mon-thurs. Contacted her on monday right away. She kept saying the ac turns it self off but it will still cool down. It never worked. I messaged her constantly. She didnt send anyone out till my last night. Still couldnt fix it and i asked if i xould get some sort of compensation for 3 hot nights after promising ac and she is still not answering my messages. I even gave her my phone number to call me to discuss the problem while still there and i got nothing in return. Am extremely not happy with how things turned out and will not use her in the future.

Renters BEWARE
Worst place I have ever stayed! When we got to the cottage, we went to turn on the AC units and realized they were broken- the upstairs unit only blew out HOT air, and the downstairs unit shut off after a few hours and would not turn back on. We stayed here with our dog, so the fact that the AC did not work was even worse, considering we had our dog with us. It appeared as if there was water damage around the area of the upstairs AC unit- the wall under the unit was warped and had brown water stains. Sink in the bathroom wouldnât drain so water pooled in it. Dishwasher did not work or even turn on so we couldnât use it. I messaged the host to inform her of these issues, and to explain that the listing was not accurate and that the amenities that we had paid for (working AC, dishwasher, etc.) were not working. Host was unresponsive to ALL of my messages. TERRIBLE service on the hostâs part. We even contacted Vrbo customer service to try to get through to the host, since she was unresponsive to all my messages, and she didnât even answer Vrbo! Hopefully Vrbo does the right thing and kicks her off this platform. My advice to all renters- do not rent this property, or any other property by Marissa Michos. She clearly is a scammer who is trying to make a quick profit off renters for the summer.
Be aware: this place is TINY; about as much total floor space as a smaller-than-average hotel room; it just happens to be laid out in the shape of a tiny 2-story house. You might be surprised how small it is. If you have any mobility issues (lots of up/down stairs) or if you are particularly big, this property will not suit you very well.
That having been said, we liked the place a lot. The kitchen is fantastic: full sink, stove/oven, microwave, refrigerator, full compliment of dishes/cups, silverware, pots/pans, and other amenities. The bathroom is small but serviceable. Upstairs, the futon/sofa and bed are very nice, Roku TV works well (we casted from my Chromebook). The porch is similarly tiny and kind of hard to get to (have to squeeze around the bed to get out the door) but once you get out there it's a very comfortable place to hang out.
One warning: the property doesn't include a parking space and on-street parking in Ocean City is a confusing patchwork. Late in our stay a spot opened up directly across the street (11th St) which was free (no meters). Most other streets have meters and the regulations are different on every street; so -- read the signs carefully!
Loved the area, particularly Bungalow Bowls which is right next door; I went there 3 times in the 4 days we were there! My wife also really liked the used-book store around the corner. The unit is just the right distance from the beach; not too far to walk, not too close which avoids excessive noise.
In the beginning, booking the trip and communication was wonderful. When checking in, A/C units were molding and floor not clean. Tired contacting owner and didnât respond right away and had a little conversation but still no response back (was here for 5 days) Good area and cute place, but communicating and healthily inspections was concerning and bad.
Perfect little hideaway - great location, charming spot
Loved staying in this property - it really is as adorable as it looks, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the location is perfect: you have the very cute downtown Ocean City shops and places to grab a quick coffee or bite to eat just around the corner, plenty of parking on the street here and there (and I don't parallel park well, so if I say the parking is easy, it really must be :-), and easy access to the beach a few blocks off as well. The little upstairs porch and ability to watch TV in bed were little bonuses that made it even more relaxing. Perfect for a couple, a single person who wants a nest for a break from it all, two friends who can be roomies while they explore Ocean City (the futon/couch upstairs looked perfectly fine as a second bed) or for a person who'd just rather crash in their own space than on an awkward pull-out couch or with the pack of friends and family piling into another property. Will definitely try to stay here again!
This was a great place for two people. Cute and comfy. The only negative was there isn't a "living room" to sit in. So not a place to hang out in but you are there for the beach and boardwalk so not really needed.
