My husband and I were in town for a long weekend watching a tournament at University of Dayton. This home was small but the location was perfect for what we needed, we were very close to campus and also to many of the best restaurants, shopping and nightlife. With the unique layout of the home, having to walk through one bedroom to get to the other, I would not recommend to more than a couple or maybe small family. It worked perfectly for us and we would definitely stay again should we be back in Dayton.
We arrived at the house on a Friday at 5:00pm and there was a lot of city traffic and traffic noise. However, that was rush hour and people where leaving work and heading home. After rush hour we were very surprised how quiet it was. Nighttime was very peaceful, quiet, and no traffic sounds at all. We slept very well!
If your looking for a Queen or King bed, you wonât find them here. The beds are full sized, but with comfortable mattresses. There currently are no mattresses covers on the beds, which I would recommend, just sheets on the bare mattress. I would also suggest a shower caddy be added in the corner of the shower because there is no place to set your soap, shampoo, or razor. All in all, it was a great value and comfortable place located in an urban setting.
Les points faibles : Communication et emplacement
Confused
The rental was not without merit but for every positive there was a dissapointment. The shower was nice but the bathmat was stained from water that repeatedly soaked it from the water that leaked from the door. It had a nice covered front porch to sit on but it was questionable if you wanted to use it. One example was a man yelling as he walked with a long stick hitting signs and posts as he brisky walked up the street. It had a coffee pot but only 2 cups that held hot liquid and did not leak. There were minimal asks on check out except to take out the trash and when I fianally located the trash can, I had to walk though a narrow closed in path with glass on the ground. The pictures of inside the house were true but the outside was not reflective of the close quarters to the house next to it which was inches away and very busy with a party that sound as if it was coming from the next room in the rental. There was a weather incident back at my home and I tried to get in contact with someone about possibliy changing my plans. The number listed allowed me to leave a message but a return call was never recieved. I have used Vrbo for may years and this rental was listed a "premire host" so I am quite confused.
Shelly was so helpful and even loaned us a keyboard so I could keep up with practicing. Home is spotless and is exactly what's depicted in the listing. Very close to lots of interesting places to eat. We had a great getaway here!
Everything was excellent except the wifi. Constant dropping during movies and programs was a little annoying. But it did not put a damper on our trip. Would book again.
Very convienent / quick to US35 access (to Xenia for us). Very close to Oregon Dist. et al downtown restaurants. Parked on street 10 feet in front of door. Inside, the bathroom, kitchen were fine; great shower. AirCon, bedding, cleanliness fine. Front porch bench with flower bed a nice touch to watch the rain from! Thanks.
Although the house lacked any real privacy since it was shotgun style, we enjoyed our stay. I recommend adding more hooks to the bathroom walls and updating the pillows.
Our stay at this property met our basic needs. Although it can house more than a couple, the unique layout of the unit makes it difficult to have privacy with more guests than that. It was easy to check in and out. The kitchen appeared well outfitted, although we did not have a need to use it. There was always parking right in front of the unit.
We enjoyed our stay with our 7 and 1 year old. The house was close to all of the local attractions, which is helpful. We didnât have to drive more than 10 minutes to get anywhere. This isnât the place for you if you want to put the kids to bed early and use the kitchen. The living room connects to the next bedroom and bath, then next bedroom, and then kitchen . So, you canât put the kids to bed and sit in the living room and still be able to use the kitchen. We didnât read the listing carefully enough to see that there is not a dishwasher or microwave. Overall, the house was clean and the beds were comfortable.
I enjoyed my stay. The house was clean and the description was completely accurate. It's not far from UD's campus, and also a short walk to a couple coffee spots and a brewery with outdoor seating. Check in/out was a breeze. I hope to be back.
