BEST HOST EVER! So, so nice and gave us great local recommendations. Lots of stuff for kids to do! The house and property were also very clean. Perfect place to ring in the new year and make some new memories!
This cozy cabin in the mountains had everything we needed! Lots of privacy, beautifully decorated and very clean and comfortable. Hope to visit again soon!
Lovely cabin, very cutely decorated, all cabinets labeled. Stocked with dishes and spices. Reasonably priced, easy to find, at end of short block, very private.
Great place so lovely decorated
Loved that it was on a culdesac
The lake was great, caught some nice fish
Marion has good places for food and
things to do. We really enjoyed our time at Grandview Peaks
Our family had a great stay, very clean and cozy cabin, the host was communicative and available through phone, the community was very nice and peaceful, we visited Asheville and Sugar Mountain both about an hour away from the cabin and would recommend this stay.
Great secluded place to stay in a small gated community near to a couple smalls towns very peaceful! would highly recommend to anyone looking to unwind!
This visit was an opportunity to share with friends one of our favorite places to stay. Each time we arrive it is like a whole new experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into a beautifully serene setting that felt like a world away from the hustle and bustle. The quaint atmosphere, combined with breathtaking surroundings, made for an unforgettable experience, once again! The accommodations are always cozy and thoughtfully designed, offering the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. Every detail is carefully curated, adding to the overall warmth of the place. Whether enjoying morning coffee on the porch, or taking in the quiet evenings, it felt like time slowed down just for us. The darkness is also very peaceful with no light pollution whatsoever.. nothing like it.One of the highlights was the peaceful setting- ideal for reconnecting with nature and truly unwinding. We always leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and are already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a beautiful escape filled with tranquility and charm, this is the perfect spot!
Quiet and peaceful, with everything we needed. Beautiful neighborhood- the lake was a great bonus! We swam and floated in the lake for hours, grilled, made sâmores and enjoyed board games on the porch. Exactly what our family of 2 adults/ 4 teens needed. Cabin is super clean, very organized and well stocked. Owner is easy to communicate and made our stay perfect. Will definitely be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home and will surely be back in the future! This quickly became our most favorite place to stay yet!! House was very clean....the owner thought of everything! Literally everything was labeled so you could easily find things! I loved that! Beds were comfortable! Plenty of board games, outside games etc. Very quiet neighborhood! Very cozy! Thank you for opening your beautiful home to us! We made so many awesome memories!
Very private and quite. You cannot see a neighbor. The house was fully stocked with all we needed. We really enjoyed sitting on the front porch and watching the deer. And also the large outdoor Connect Four and Checkers. Definitely a place we would love to stay at again on out next trip to the mountains. Thank you Marie, for sharing your home and making it so welcoming!
This truly is the place for peace and quiet with beautiful wooded surroundings. The cabin was spotless with a well stocked kitchen. The mountain community was lovely. This is a great location for day trips to some wonderful western North Carolina scenic attractions. We hiked to Linville Falls, visited Linville Caverns on one day, and went to South Mountain State Park and hiked up to High Shoal Falls the next day. After hiking High Shoal we headed a few miles up the road to Apple Hill Orchard and picked some apples and got apple cider and apple donuts.
Weâre very thrilled to have found such a remarkable place to stay. Just wish we couldâve stayed longer.
A beautiful place to escape for some peace and quiet! My husband and I needed a quick change of scenery and Marie's cabin was the perfect little getaway! It was absolutely spotless; very comfy beds, all you'd need in the kitchen, with a perfect porch and deck surrounded by woods. Great wifi and a smart tv to meet all of your viewing needs.
We enjoyed one night of fabulous weather for autumn leaf peeping and stargazing. Next morning we enjoyed Tropical Storm Zeta!!! Marie is an ABSOLUTE GEM to work with. The MOST responsive, helpful, and gracious host I've ever communicated with. Come and stay, you'll love it!
Your home is beautiful. Everything was top notch. We were not there much, since we were at the conference. Which I invite everyone to attend at the Nebo Crossing Church next 9/28 & 9/29. We had the pleasure of having Jason Crabb and Guy Penrod from the Gaithers.
We hope to come stay again, but may need a larger place.
Unreal how you had some supplies in the cabin, like DUKE mayo. Just right for the egg swds. Please rent from this sweet owner. You will not be sorry. She is so kind......

Dave and I live in Decatur, Texas, but have always enjoyed the NC mountains. I was a camper in Hendersonville for our summers and attended Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa (just up the mountain from Marion). Dave took many youth trips from St. Petersburg, Florida, to Montreat.
We most like Grandview Peak's quiet surroundings - it is tranquil. Our cabin is on a cul-de-sac with no close neighbors...we like just relaxing on the porch or deck in the evenings and listening to nature.
We have no close neighbors, yet we live on a paved road and are not far from town.
Our cabin is kept immaculately clean by our housekeeper, Tonia and her two teen-age sons. They treat my place as their own - they have done since 2019!
