Escapade en montagne isolée et tranquille

Cette immaculée, deux chambres, deux cabines de bain est sur 2. 5 acres dans la communauté fermée de Grandview Peaks. Il est situé au bout d'un cul-de-sac vous offrant une intimité et un calme absolus.

Les Ă©quipements communautaires comprennent un magnifique lac avec plage et quai de pĂȘche, et ont des cascades et des sentiers de randonnĂ©e pour votre plaisir. Apportez les vĂ©los des enfants - ĂȘtre la seule maison sur le cul-de-sac leur permet de faire du vĂ©lo sans se soucier de la circulation. La cour arriĂšre spacieuse aspire Ă  des jeux de kickball et de flĂ©chettes sur pelouse! Le soir, vous pouvez faire des s'mores au foyer. Le porche couvert est le meilleur endroit pour une tasse de cafĂ© tĂŽt le matin et la grande terrasse avec grill Ă©lectrique est idĂ©ale pour les repas pris Ă  l'extĂ©rieur (il y a six places assises sur le pont).

À seulement 20 minutes, Marion, en Caroline du Nord, accueille des foires et des festivals d'avril Ă  dĂ©cembre. Il n'est qu'Ă  30 minutes du parc d'État du lac James ou du parc d'État de Chimney Rock Ă  Lake Lure, Ă  45 minutes des chutes de Linville et Ă  seulement une heure de route de Biltmore Ă  Asheville, du mont Mitchell ou de la forĂȘt de Pisgah. Les activitĂ©s les plus proches sont les chutes de Catawba et le sentier ferroviaire de la ceinture thermale (rĂ©cemment achevĂ© 13. 5 sentiers de marche / vĂ©lo). Les deux sont dans les 30 minutes. Une grande variĂ©tĂ© d'activitĂ©s attend votre famille pour des vacances Ă  la montagne!

La cabine a deux chambres et deux bains. La chambre principale a un lit queen et est en suite. La chambre au premier Ă©tage a deux lits jumeaux. Le loft ouvert Ă  l'Ă©tage dispose d'un lit gigogne double.

Il y a un pack-n-play, une barriÚre pour bébé et une chaise haute pour les familles voyageant avec un bébé.

La cuisine est bien approvisionnĂ©e - elle est prĂȘte pour que vous puissiez prĂ©parer vos repas de famille prĂ©fĂ©rĂ©s, faire un gĂąteau d'anniversaire ou faire une mijoteuse de ragoĂ»t un samedi froid.

The cabin was easy to access in a gated community. Tucked away with only trees surrounding made for the cozy cabin vibe we hoped for. It was clean and tidy with everything you need clearly labeled for convenience (absolutely love this!). Marie did an excellent job and listing things to do and where to eat in the area. We ate at J. Hartman's (dinner) and Heifer's (breakfast) and highly recommend both. Marion main street is charming with great shops. We recommend stopping into Refinery 13 for a pint! Nearly everything about our stay was great but the beds could use a mattress upgrade for a more comfortable night's sleep. Overall, we would recommend staying at Marie's place if you're looking for a mountain getaway!

This rental was absolutely perfect. It is probably the CLEANEST renal we have EVER stayed at! The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils and even had spices we forgot to bring. We could tell the owners put a lot of thought into this home. There were conversation-starter cards that we did with our kids every night at dinner—and they loved it. There was even a cozy robe, and my kids felt so fancy getting into it after their showers.Just a heads up for winter guests—there’s no central heating system, but the mini-splits in the bedrooms and the gas fireplace kept the house warm and comfortable since it’s a small space.We also loved that it was the only house at the top of the hill, giving us a secluded and private feel. We took a nature walk behind the house and the kids really enjoyed exploring. There were chargers everywhere you’d naturally want to plug in a phone, which was super convenient.The only thing worth noting is that the beds were pretty noisy and very firm. I’m used to softer mattresses, but I know some people prefer firm, so that’s just personal preference. There were plenty of blankets and extra pillows, and the pillows themselves were very comfortable.Overall, we had an amazing stay and would absolutely recommend this home.

Absolutely amazing! Perfect space for Thanksgiving. Fit six people comfortably. Quiet. A huge plus is the fully stocked kitchen. I was worried that cooking an entire Thanksgiving meal would be a challenge due to limited supplies. I was extremely surprised that the kitchen had everything needed from a colander to seasonings that we forgot. There were even blueberries that we used to make a delicious homemade blueberry pie. The owner was extremely nice in her messages. But the best part of this trip was a book that I had been listening to on audible but stopped before finishing it was in the cabin. I began reading it the first night and was inspired to action!! I think this trip was a God Wink! Thank you so much for your incredible hospitality, generosity and inspiration!!
We cooked an entire Thanksgiving meal including a Turkey.

A Perfect Place to Celebrate and Unwind This was our fifth stay at this incredible property in Nebo, and once again, it exceeded every expectation. We celebrated my 65th birthday here with dear friends, and it was the perfect setting for relaxing, reconnecting, and making lasting memories.The home is always spotless and welcoming, with thoughtful touches that make you feel instantly at ease. We loved starting our mornings with peaceful strolls around the private lake and hiking the secluded trail to the waterfall—such a hidden gem. Evenings were magical, gathered around the backyard fire pit sharing stories and laughter, followed by quiet moments on the front porch rocking chairs under the stars.This place has become a tradition for us, and it continues to be the ideal retreat. Grateful for another unforgettable stay!

A Hidden Gem for the Perfect Getaway!

This visit was an opportunity to share with friends one of our favorite places to stay. Each time we arrive it is like a whole new experience. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into a beautifully serene setting that felt like a world away from the hustle and bustle. The quaint atmosphere, combined with breathtaking surroundings, made for an unforgettable experience, once again!The accommodations are always cozy and thoughtfully designed, offering the perfect balance of rustic charm and modern comfort. Every detail is carefully curated, adding to the overall warmth of the place. Whether enjoying morning coffee on the porch, or taking in the quiet evenings, it felt like time slowed down just for us. The darkness is also very peaceful with no light pollution whatsoever.. nothing like it.One of the highlights was the peaceful setting- ideal for reconnecting with nature and truly unwinding. We always leave feeling refreshed, inspired, and are already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a beautiful escape filled with tranquility and charm, this is the perfect spot!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this home and will surely be back in the future! This quickly became our most favorite place to stay yet!! House was very clean....the owner thought of everything! Literally everything was labeled so you could easily find things! I loved that! Beds were comfortable! Plenty of board games, outside games etc. Very quiet neighborhood! Very cozy! Quiet Getaway

Our family had a great stay, very clean and cozy cabin, the host was communicative and available through phone, the community was very nice and peaceful, we visited Asheville and Sugar Mountain both about an hour away from the cabin and would recommend this stay.

2nd time is a charm - yet again!

My wife, daughter and I stayed at Marie's place during the summer of 2021 and thoroughly enjoyed (prior review posted). My wife & I were looking to visit the mountains of NC and see the fall colors and luckily Marie's place was available yet again. We love everything about this house and the neighborhood of Grandview Peaks. The house is spotless inside and the kitchen is fully stocked with all of your basics. We spent one day heading near Hendersonville/Ashville and the other day heading up to Boone. Marie is an awesome host and always responsive. I remember her daily rate for this home being very reasonable back in 2021 and it was again this time - which I greatly appreciate. It is definitely a great value for the money and I would recommend Marie's home to anyone looking to get away to the mountains of NC, to stay in a beautiful and to stay in a great community. Thanks Marie...we might just be back a 3rd time in the future OR purchase a property in GVP ourselves someday!

Dave and I live in Decatur, Texas, but have always enjoyed the NC mountains. I was a camper in Hendersonville for our summers and attended Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa (just up the mountain from Marion). Dave took many youth trips from St. Petersburg, Florida, to Montreat.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

We most like Grandview Peak's quiet surroundings - it is tranquil. Our cabin is on a cul-de-sac with no close neighbors...we like just relaxing on the porch or deck in the evenings and listening to nature.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

We have no close neighbors, yet we live on a paved road and are not far from town.

Our cabin is kept immaculately clean by our housekeeper, Tonia and her two teen-age sons. They treat my place as their own - they have done since 2019!
