Itâs quite a walk down to The Terrace but well worth the views when you get there! Convenient location and well stocked. We would like to return in future!
My friend of 40 years and I stayed for a night. The view was absolutely beautiful. The house was clean and efficiently arranged. The walk from the parking pad down to the house was a little longer than expected and could be challenging with heavy luggage or bags. It could also use a sign to point the way or directions at the fork in the path. Once we figured out which path led to our cabin it was totally worth it. Would definitely stay again!
This cozy cabin on the brow of Lookout Mountain was absolutely incredible. The viewsâespecially at sunsetâwere breathtaking. It was the perfect escape from the city, and we only wish we couldâve stayed longer. Our main day was spent on a beautiful 6-mile hike through Cloudland Canyon. Weâd definitely come back for another stay!
Beautiful in many ways! Spectacular views from a very peaceful and private location, surrounded by nature, amazing sunsets, and morning birdsong on the deck that can't be beat. The space itself is immaculately cleaned and has all the basics covered, all with style. The wall of windows facing the valley is great! There is a somewhat steep trail walk down to the house from the parking space, so I just made a point to minimize the trips, unless I wanted a good aerobic workout! Top Notch Place. I brought my Dad to celebrate his 86th birthday and he loved it. It's also worth a visit to nearby Rock City. Two top restaurants not far are Stir and Easy Bistro. Delicious, great spaces.
Fantastic house with everything you need. View was amazing, especially the sunsets. Just what we were looking for during our stay in the Chattanooga area.
Overall really great experience! Property was very clean and exactly as described as far as the home is concerned. The view is second to none and quite breathtaking! My only suggestion would be to let future renters know that the house is not visible from the road, making it a bit difficult to find. Additionally, there is parking off the street but you do have to walk down a relatively rough path to get to the house. But it is well worth traversing the path to get to that view!
I stayed for two nights. The cabin is well-equipped, and the views are amazing, especially the sunsets. It's a perfect little escape from the city. Thank you very much!
The house is nice. Access is difficult to unsafe. House is located down a steep, winding, rocky path partially supplemented with 6x6 timbers for steps. Nothing in the description lets you know this. We're two 70 year olds and one of us is six months out from knee replacement surgery and previously had ankle replacement surgery. The days were rainy so this path was constantly muddy. I, the healthy one, did fall once heading down hill. Carrying luggage and supplies was a challenge. We left one day early from our four day reservation.
Spent a great relaxing weekend here. Has everything you need and close enough to spend a day in Chattanooga. Quiet area with some great views! Thanks again!
We loved our two night stay. But, it is a hike down the side of the mountain so make sure you can handle the hike down and up. I loved the lights that hang up and light your way down the path at night.
The cabin was just the right size for us! It was clean, warm, & inviting. We absolutely loved the spectacular view and found it to be quite relaxing while enjoying your thoughtful gift of wine. One thing that we'd suggest is a gate at the balcony so our dogs could have walked around freely.
We were not aware that we had to walk down a trail to get to & from the cabin so that was a difficult obstacle for us. I am still healing from a major knee injury & found it very difficult to maneuver. Perhaps the trail to / from the cabin needs to be shown in the pictures.
The house itself is really nice. Clean, in order, and very tidy. I can't comment on the view as there was a thick fog and rain the night we were there. There is a hike on trails to the house - probably about 200 feet on a relatively steep grade. Nothing unmanageable - but it took us by surprise. We would definitely stay again - and next time hopefully the weather will cooperate!
