mountain retreat in heart of chattanooga--4 miles to downtown and aquarium! home on .5 acre nestled on west slope of missionary ridge facing downtown. views of lookout mountain, large elevated back deck with gas firepit and grill. 4 miles to downtown. large sunroom for morning coffee, large flat screen TV. free wifi. easy access to downtown and all the fun attractions of chattanooga.

duplex style building. apartment  in basement is occupied by onsite host who can answer all questions and help with any issue. there are no shared spaces or connections between host and guest living space or outdoor deck areas.

Beautiful place with nice views. Great to have the fire pit. Beds comfortable. Needed thorough cleaning in bathrooms and kitchen. We enjoyed our stay.

Treehouse

This home had nice furnishings and the beds were comfortable. The home was older and showed its age. The bathrooms were not clean. The neighborhood was transitional although beautiful homes on the ridge quite different down the hill.

Host was totally accommodating

Property was not as pictured. Two queen beds as pictured, however no full futon in place. No sofa beds, however, host brought it a queen air mattress for us. Can only accommodate 6 people if non couples are ok sleeping in same bed.Unable to get decent TV until second night when host put in their own Amazon password. I would totally recommend this property.

Cute, spacious home

We had a great stay at this home. We stayed in winter, so the views of the mountains from the back deck were beautiful. We especially enjoyed the fire pit and the grill area. The house felt quite spacious and had everything you need to enjoy your stay. The host was responsive to any questions we had. I would definitely recommend this property and would love to stay there again in the future.

Beautiful Deck -Felt like you are in the Mountains

Lovely home with an incredible decking with Fire Pit, Lighting, and dining area. Very close to downtown Chattanooga restaurants and night life! Great place to relax and host was very friendly and accommodating. 👍

Just stayed one night while pass through. It was very clean, love the simple decor. It had a faint smell of an old house. Other than that it's a really cute place.

Great place to stay!

The property was as described. Great outdoor space to hang out and watch the squirrels. We had an issue with the AC but the host quickly returned our call and got it taken care of. This is a great place to stay!

Bugs

We arrived at the rental between 8pm-8:30pm and after unloading & showering, we went to bed around 9pm. Within minutes of being in bed I was bitten at least 3x by something. I got up, checked the bed, and took 13 different pictures of the bugs in the bed. Being late, I was grossed out but went to the couch where I found MORE bugs and food in the cushions. My grandson said he was being bitten also. It was late and we eventually just slept until 3:30am when we couldn’t take it anymore. We packed up and left.

Ok stay

We rented this place for my family of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) and my parents. It was advertised as 2 queen beds and a double futon. There was no futon in the house. My kids had to sleep on a sectional with no extra bedding to be found in the house. I reached out to the owner, who stays in the basement, the next morning, but never got a response. It is a 1.5 bath, not 2, as there is only a shower/tub combo. The mattresses are very hard, which we did not love, but know some people could. We killed several big black ants during our stay as well.

Girls trip

This was a family girls trip for the weekend and the property looked great from the listing. There were a few things that bothered us. First, there was no mention on the listing about not using the driveway. Apparently there was supposed to be a rope that kept us from using it, but we didn’t see that because it was laying on the ground. That was a crazy ordeal, but luckily the owner helped us get our truck back up the driveway. The steps going up to the house are very steep and didn’t feel safe. Inside the house, was nice until we noticed all the bugs and ants everywhere. It was raining when we got there and noticed the window by the front door was leaking water. Also, the vent in the kitchen looked like it had insulation coming out of it. Fixing those issues would make this house a good place to stay.

Fabulous Mountain View

We loved the mountain location and the gorgeous view. We didn’t see the specific driving directions provided by the host before we headed up
and definitely suggest you access your booking confirmation before arrival. A little turning around and we arrived. The deck with the firepit and seating is so welcoming. We saw the other review about steps leading up and it is no joke. They are steep and shallow. Our mom almost joined the trip last minute and it’s good she didn’t; with her mobility issues the stairs would be a no go and we would have been faced with a dilemma of finding a new place to stay. Denny was very welcoming and responded to all our questions timely. We happened to see him on arrival and he was very friendly and accommodating. The listing shows 2 queen beds and a double futon; but there are 2 bedrooms with queen beds and an “L” shaped couch in the main family room and a small couch in the sunroom (3 walls of windows-no shades) So fortunately we weren’t trying to sleep 6 adults
just 2 adults (sisters) and two kids who could share the couch or sleep with mom/auntie. We did notice a smell that a couple past guests noted in their reviews (May and Nov). It’s a little musty/mildew smell but improved with the doors and windows open for a bit. We also noticed a smoke/cigarette smell and couldn’t tell if maybe someone in the lower apartment smokes and the smell has wafted up. It was worse in closets and bathrooms. Well decorated and spacious. Cute place!

Over all it was great though If you have a hard time with stairs you may want to reconsider. It was very close to Ruby Falls, Rock City and Tennessee Valley RR. House was nice and cozy but, If you're a non-smoker bring room spray. Google Maps will take you to the wrong driveway so make contact for directions.

The house met our needs. It’s a cute house, nice layout and it’s generally clean, aside from some mildew on the bathroom ceiling (no exhaust fan). It does smell a little musty. We couldn’t decide if it smelled like smoke or like dampness. You don’t notice it once you’re in the house for a while though.

The location was perfect for us! So close to everything we wanted to do, including Rock City, dinner at the Governors Mansion Inn, river boat tour, etc. The house was clean, but is old and did have a musty smell, but didn't trigger my allergies. The host was very responsive and quickly addressed issues with the outside furniture. The decor was nice.

It was a nice location, pretty decor. However, couches were very dirty (crumbs still under cushions). And couches aren't pull outs except for a small dirty thing accent chair was a pull out. The outside chairs are very rotten/dry/falling apart, we didn't feel comfortable to sit around the fire. Beds are comfy, and great water pressure in the showers
