We stayed for two weeks and enjoyed being on the lake with itâs incredible views. We actually watched an eagle diving into the water to catch dinner. Our grandson was quite excited to have caught six large mouth bass while he was here. Two of them he kept and cooked them up for his dinner. We liked being close to the village and Winthrop for picking up provisions.
I loved this stay and would stay here again in a second! The property is a little gem!! I visited in the "early spring" so not really lake weather but it was still an awesome visit, i can only imagine how awesome the lake is! It would be hard to get any closer to waters edge! The home is clean, charming and had everything we needed. Highly recommend!
location was great, the lake and the wildlife were amazing. enjoyed sitting in the glassed in room each night listening to all of the sounds. the kids were a bit shocked by the 'don't drink the water' warnings, which caused a bit of drama, but otherwise, it was a much needed week away.
Tina was fantastic with the communication. She was very accommodating. So much so that I can comfortably say that I have never had a more seamless vrbo. We had a wonderful time.
My fiance and I visited this property with a few friends to celebrate his birthday with a fun-filled ice fishing weekend. Tina was a fantastic host who communicated with us promply and clearly and gave us all the information we needed to settle in and feel at home in her charming lakeside cottage. She was quick to reply to any of our questions and seemed genuinely pleased to have us there. The rental itself was homey and clean, with plenty of room for everyone. Although the lake accessible from the property turned out to be a bit shallow for ice fishing, we were within such close access to countless other options of nearby bodies of water and it definitely didn't stop us from having a great weekend that we will remember for years to come. We've already talked about the possibility of renting this site again in the summer for another fishing trip! We cannot reccomend this property enough for anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing weekend away with their loved ones! 10 stars for sure!
This cottage was everything our family needed for a relaxing weekend away. We easily found anything and everything we needed during our stay. Furthermore, Tina was always available to answer questions and was gracious enough to allow us to bring our dog. Couldnât have asked for a better host!
Property was very clean and more than we excepted. Tina communicated with us before and during our stay which was so helpful. We plan on going back next year to kayak the lakes in the area. Thanks
We had a great time at Tina's place and hope to be back again. The area was loaded with potential kayak trips, and we weren't too far from stuff to do when the weather was not great. It had to be the quietest place we've ever rented- it seemed we were mostly by ourselves on our end of the pond, and we like that! Thanks, Tina!
My partner and I stayed here for a long weekend to celebrate our 30th birthdays. It was great to get away and this lake house was peaceful and serene. We really enjoyed the gas stove and large windows looking out over the lake. Check in was a breeze and Tina was super responsive with any questions we had. Would definitely stay here again! Itâs nice to know that traveling during Covid can be safe and easy.
Our family took our daughters' best friends up for the summer trip this year. Lovely house. All the amenities you need are there! We appreciated the downstairs bedroom to have some quiet time away from the kids. Beds were comfy. We did have some warm days, but they were tolerable without AC. The lake/pond is very active with wildlife! Lots of good fishing. Would stay again!
The house was a great fit for our family. We had everything we needed and little details were thought through. We had a wonderful visit and loved that even when youâre in the house the lake views are fantastic. Tina, the host, was very responsive in answering any questions quickly. Wilson pond is beautiful and paddling and fishing were a blast!
I have stayed at many different lake houses in New Hampshire and Maine over the years but this was my favorite property. The house is clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated and the lake setting is so picturesque. It's clear that the owner, Tina, wants to ensure that visitors have everything they need and more! Definitely deserves a five star review!!!!
This house exceeded our expectations in terms of location, space, how well it was equipped, and the beauty of the lake. Tinaâs responsiveness is exactly as described on the website - immediate and thorough. She was seeking to help and guide us throughout the stay. We had a wonderful weekend and would love to rent again!
We truly enjoyed the overwhelming peace and quiet on Wilson Pond. And the gorgeous view!!!
Access to the 2 kayaks and x-large canoe was huge benefit and that you can access another nearby lake/Dexter Pond that has awesome beauty was special.
The layout of the home is very comfortable and easy. Great kitchen! We loved the garden like/in-the-woods feel to the surrounding landscape.Very special.
Tina is an outstanding host! She communicates timely and efficiently. She answered and accommodated our requests above and beyond. Her place is well appointed, clean and has a gorgeous waterfront location. Highly recommend!!!
The house was spacious and had just about everything you need. The views overlooking the pond are great. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and we had really good weather so the guys had an awesome time fishing. We all enjoyed exploring the pond. We also enjoyed a couple of fires by the pond. Tina responds very quickly to any questions you may have and is very accommodating. I would recommend this spot to anyone. We had a great time!
This house is perfect! Beautiful decorated and fully stocked with everything needed (and more) to get away and rest and relax.
In addition to a lovely, serene lake, there are kayaks, a canoe, a fire pit and a bbq grill. Inside, itâs cozy and warm with a well equipped kitchen, beautiful views of the lake, and lots of comfortable spots to read, watch tv, hang out or play one of the many board games.
Tina is awesome! Very responsive and helpful.
Five stars! .
We stay in Maine almost every year as we have family there that we visit, and we like to try different nearby ponds/lakes each time. We stayed at Tina's house on Wilson Pond, and truly, Wilson Pond might be our favorite pond so far (out of about 12), it's definitely in our top 2. The house is sweet, and nicely decorated and stocked. The waterfront view and yard are wonderful, and the pond is amazing. We paddled on various watercraft all week that Tina provided. We floated in front of the house on floating inflatable chairs Tina had in the shed area, since the water is more shallow near Tina's place (about 8 feet deep) this made enjoying the water just perfect. The pond is clean and very clear. We caught up to 6 different varieties of fish, with one being a 5+ pound large-mouth bass. We also saw eagles all week fishing and flying, osprey, loons, and ducks. Very quiet and relaxing retreat if nature is what you are looking for!
We chose this property based on it's proximity to relatives we were visiting, the low fees (like you, I refuse to pay a $300 'host fee'), the reports of a easy-to-communicate with property manager and views from every window. We were NOT disappointed. I especially want to thank Tina for her fast responses to any questions, and her flexibility and generosity. Due to the time of year, we were unable to enjoy the swimming and boating so many others rave about. But we did enjoy sitting in the sunroom and living area looking out the large (and pretty clean too) windows. The living area/kitchen is heated with a cozy gas 'woodstove.' The main bedroom is on the bottom level, the living area is on the main level, and there are several beds on the top level, as you can see in the photos. There were small camps on either side, but both were unoccupied and the neighborhood is pretty quiet. Oh and I have a thing for lighting. There were many lamps and overhead lights and in some cases dimmers. And they ALL worked! It made for a pleasant atmosphere as it gets dark at like 4:30 this time of year. There's a lot of rural roads to explore and 100 little country stores all along the way. I guess that's it. Thanks again Tina!
Our family of 6 (4 teenage children) stayed at the lovely cottage for a week. Upstairs has 3 large beds, there was a pull out couch bed and the two of us stayed downstairs in the master with a bath.
Great little cottage, fit all our needs and wants. Our favorite room was the sunroom. Waking up overlooking the lake was incredible.
We spent everyday on the lake. We rented a boat for the week and that was the highlight of the trip for our children.
The kayaks and canoe were prefect for just hanging around the area.
This was an amazing vacation and time with family.
Tina was an amazing host, stayed in contact with me throughout the trip in the best way.
I felt taken care of and a priority!
Highly recommend this cottage!
This property is perfect for a family of five, especially for children between 5 and 18.
Itâs centrally located in the middle of many ponds and lakes for avid fisherman like ourselves. Plenty of activities to keep you busy like kayaks, canoes, board games, video games swimming or hiking. Plenty of linens and the washer dryer combo is a plus.
The property manager greeted us with a text message upon arrival and thanked us for staying upon our departure, she was readily available by phone anytime we had a question.
We would definitely stay here again in the future
We had such a wonderful time at Tinaâs cabin! From the moment we arrived we had everything we needed and the view was amazing! The cabin is tastefully decorated, spacious, clean, and fully stocked. We loved having two full bathrooms, an outside shower, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and wifi! We were there in July during a Maine heat wave so we had to put in the window ac unit up in the loft. There were enough beds (2 queen and a futon) up there for our family of four to sleep and stay cool on the warmest nights. My boys are 8 and 10 and they fished every day! Caught some big bass, yellow perch, and sunfish. We also enjoyed taking out the canoe and going over to the little island. Tina has plenty of games and tvâs for the entertainment on those rainy days. Winthrop is close by for grocery shopping and thereâs a great gift shop in town called Freckle Salvage Company. Highly recommend having ice cream at Fielderâs Choice! Also, right down the road thereâs a great trail head to Blueberry Trail and Tower Trail on Mt Pisgah. We liked hiking the loop and climbing to the top of the tower for a gorgeous view of the surrounding lakes/ponds. We canât say enough wonderful things about Tina and her beautiful place! Thank you for sharing it with our family! â€ïž
