We were very happy with the cleanliness of the apartment, everything you need, home away from home. Adrian was a fantastic host, check in was easy. We would stay here again for sure!!
Fantastic location with ample rooms. Wasnât made aware that it was a stand alone apartment. Advertising extras such as a pool and then having to go onto the street to another building is misleading. Floors could do with a steam clean and finding other peopleâs clothes in the cupboard and washing machine is off putting. Blinds in all rooms need attention. All in all a great stay.
The property was in a great location, easy to access. It was clean and tidy with some nice touches, the kids loved the chocolates on the table and having umbrellas to use was great. Adrian was great to deal with, he replied promptly and was very accommodating when we asked to store our bags for a late afternoon flight he let us check out later which was much appreciated. The kids loved the pool area, it was easily accessible and in a great spot. We would definitely stay there again.
Went to Melbourne for the tennis with a couple of girl friends. Could not ask for a better location. We had a couple of hiccups that where sorted out very quickly. Will be back next year.
We had a great stay at StreetSide! The location was perfect, a very short walk to Southbank and the Casino, walking distance to the CBD or trains, and lots of great restaurants close by. The apartment was clean, comfy and had plenty of space for our group (three couples), and Adrian was very friendly and helpful on our arrival. Parking was easy and we enjoyed having access to the gym and pool in the main apartment complex, as well as the convenience of direct access to the apartment straight off the street.
We arrived at the property and had clear instructions on access and parking. Great location with access to PT meters away.
On entering - great layout, could sleep 10 people easily.
The bed was super comfortable. Plenty of linen and towels.
Everything you need to settle in (coffee, tea, milk, extra bits and pieces) supermarket and bottle shop in walking distance and a cute little coffee shop down the road 4 doors.
We will definitely look to book again
The owner was lovely and let us check in early, even supplied a bowl of chocolates on arrival which was a lovely surprise. The apartment was lovely, spacious and well laid out.
A few more stairs than we were expecting, which was a bit difficult with a toddler and baby but there was a very spacious entryway which we stored the prams etc.
the road noise was quite loud but thatâs expected when so close to the ground floor.
Overall, we had a lovely time.
The location for us was perfect as there were a couple of gamblers amongst us and the Casino was just around the corner. Dealing with the owner was very easy and he was very accommodating. Our experience was mainly positive. The only negatives were the lounge - way too big and uncomfortable - really difficult for us older people to get up from. The other drawback was that there was only 1 key between the 4 of us. The owner under normal circumstances would have remedied this straight away but because he was due to get on a plane that was not possible. It was rather inconvenient and I would suggest that a 2nd key always be available. It would not have been an issue if you were able to lock the front door from inside - therefore being able to leave the one and only key in the key box. But this was not possible, or maybe it was us who couldn't work out how. The unit is however very spacious and has everything you need for a quick stopover in Melbourne. Its also within walking distance of the DFO :)
The Walk-up was our home for 4 nights during our trip to Melbourne which was primarily to watch the Australian Open. We chose it because it was within walking distance of Melbourne Park (where the tennis was held) and it suited our party which comprised myself and my husband and two friends. It didn't disappoint. The bedroom configuration was ideal - we took the main bedroom which had an ensuite and our friends took the other two bedrooms at the opposite end of the apartment with its own bathroom and toilet. The loungeroom was ample for us to relax in. The kitchen lacked bench space but was amply stocked (about the only thing it could do with are oven trays). Having access to the pool that belonged to the building was a bonus and we certainly took advantage of it at the end of a busy day walking around the CBD. We brought tennis racquets but never had time to use the building's tennis court in the end - although it did look like it might be tricky to find it free. Access to the gym was also handy for those keen to continue exercising while on holidays (which wasn't me!). There was a supermarket just across the road (and a pizza shop) and a couple of coffee shops just a short walk away. And if the supermarket across the road didn't have what we wanted, there was a Woolworths about 5 minutes walk away. And finally Adrian was brilliant to deal with. Responded to our queries within a reasonable amount of time and inquired as to how we were settling in not long after we arrived.
Spacious clean apartment. The location is excellent with Southbank, Casino and the city all within a short walk.
Host was friendly and a good communicator.
Would recommend this apartment
Communication from Adrian was fantastic from the very start. He was keen to help us with our questions and Check in and Check out was clear and concise. The unit itself is based in Southbank City and having a car parking spot was amazing. Because then we walked everywhere while we were there. Very Close to excellent cafes and restaurants. Very quiet due to the double glass. Thank you so much Adrian our Family of 4 wanted for nothing.
We had a great weekend staying at The Walkup, enjoying easy walks into the CBD and the proximity to many cafes and restaurants. There are supermarkets close by and the apartment is well equipped for self-catering. It was very convenient being able to enter straight from the street and handy to have a car parking space. Adrian was very quick to respond to questions. We would definitely stay here again !
Our family of six (our 4 kids are older) had a fantastic time in Melbourne staying in Adrian's apartment. Communication was friendly and easy from booking right through to check out. Location was perfect - we could walk everywhere. The apartment was clean & tidy and had everything we needed & Adrian also kindly provided a rollaway bed so our teens didn't need to bunk together. Adrian even met us at the apartment when we arrived on Christmas Day! Thanks for everything - we would definitely stay here again!
Adrian made sure all our needs were cared for. Our very busy weekend was troublefree as a result. Beds comfortable and very roomy apartment with pleasant surroundings. Noise was minimal due to double glazed windows.
Great place! Perfect for our family 5 night getaway. Terrific location, near trams etc, and within easy walk of Riverside. Great communication with Adrian made checking in etc very easy. Iâd highly recommend this wonderful apartment.
Adrian is a lovely host! The apartment was really clean and had everything you could want in an inner city apartment including wifi and netflix! The beds are amazingly comfortable!!! We were 10 minute walk from the trams on Flinders Street. The apartment complex has a great heated pool and gym and with onsite parking which made our stay even more terrific! Thanks heaps to Adrian and family!
We had a fabulous time in this apartment which was well located. The owners were very helpful and allowed a very weary traveller access to the apartment earlier than the stated checkin time. The apartment was comfy and well stocked. It took a few of the country girls a bit of time to get used to the traffic noise but the rest of us didnât notice it.
We would most certainly stay there again. Thanks Adrian and Amy for looking after us.
I'm a coffee, wine and food fanatic from Melbourne Australia who's lived my entire life - more than half a century and counting - in Melbourne near the city along the bay. Additionally I travel regularly - at least once a year to Asia and Europe. I've come to understand what it is that makes a great stay - or a bad one. Now I strive to replicate the very best of my own travel accommodation experiences.
It's a big comfortable apartment with high ceilings and tonnes of space for everyone. It's airy and light-filled. The location is fabulous - easy walking distance to central Melbourne, the Arts Precinct, Melbourne Conference and Exhibition Centre, the Yarra River's dining and cafes, sports venues and the casino.
