I am sorry your stay wasn't perfect... Especially given your very recent family loss. I tape the lock on the inner inside door between the garage and the living area of the house because since we have keyless entry, some guests have inadvertently locked the door when they leave... Returning to be locked out ... Stuck in the garage.

Thanks for staying. Your comments are fair, although first time I have received that feedback about small guest rooms. Spacious bedroom closets are empty for guest use, but I will put dressers in each. Each bedroom has a bathroom immediately adjacent.

It was a pleasure to host Heather. Her comments about accessibility need a response. I do not promote my home as wheelchair accessible or for those with limited mobility. But the main living/sleeping areas are free of steps. There are two steps to the patio. I find it puzzling that she would make such observations about steps when she opted to not occupy the main floor bedroom, but to use the upstairs bedroom for three nights going up/down 17 stairs... Both bedrooms were of identical furnishings and size ??? I did not expect them to always enter/exit thru the garage... Only if they were going to leave and lock up, since I offer a keys-free entry pad with their code. She could have used the no stair main front door entrance, and have her more mobile partner leave/enter on the adjacent garage 1 step entrance . In the 6 years of hosting guests, I have never heard a comment suggesting the territorial view of the sound was anything less than superb.

Unfortunately this guest was less than pleased .But fortunately, her comments have not been shared by others. This is my primary home with a number of systems that need explanation...and other guests have enjoyed a brief conversation with their host.

What a puzzling review about the stairs to the beach...since my guest never used them. This stairway has provided accident free passage for 60+ years. Not a single accident. Yes, they are steep...a bit intimidating for those fearful of heights.

When guests rent my home, I often reside in the beach cabin at the bottom of a long, steep hill. To exit the property I must walk thru the backyard. Conversely, when guests visit the beach they must pass along the cabin deck. There are no other options. I made a rare exception to allow 3 adults, 2 teens to stay in my home, when the max limit is 2. I was not introduced to the young girls who arrived a few days into the rental...so they did not recognize a strange man passing thru on the path from beach to road. The renter also invited other family members for a party...which is strictly forbidden...as specified at the beginning g of my house rules that everyone is asked to read/accept before arriving....and is spelled out again on the first page/paragraph of the inhouse manual that all are asked again to read.. I was not told of any questionable comfortable. They ruined a set of sheets with a 3 square foot purple stain of unknown origin. I entered the home when they were gone because of safety concerns. They left the gas fireplace roaring on, in the middle of a nice day. The temperature had reached an unsafe 84 degrees. I was concerned the mantle would become tinder. The two sisters I did meet were very pleasant and left the house immaculately clean.
