Amazing location

The location is absolutely amazing being 20 minutes to beautiful Lorne and only 5 minutes to Aireys Inlet. The Fairhaven beach was great family fun. The pool was also a huge hit and the views are outstanding!

Cosy with a nice view

Arrived here for a week stay with my family, was a clean, cosy house with an amazing view. House came with all utilities needed, bedding and towels provided. Beach was a short walk distance and the pool was super clean, private and perfect size. Thank you for a memorable stay, my family enjoyed it. We dealt with Martin, any concerns we had Martin was quick to respond.

Magestic house

This weekend we stayed at Eagles Nest, the beds were amazing and the house fitted the 10 of us very comfortably. We had bad weather but the house had such amazing views we were able to enjoy the position of the house. The house was well equipped and very clean and we wanted for nothing I would highly recommend this house and I found Marty couldn't do enough for my family. A place I would go back to with out question thank you Marty for the opportunity of staying in your beach home.

Great family stay

Had a great stay with three generations. The house was really well provisioned with plenty of bowls/cutlery and a beautiful welcome basket! The only issue was the main bathroom as the way the shower is situated over the bath could create puddles. A bit too steep to get up and down to the beach for my 85+ mother but was a nice walk for the rest of us. The view was magnificent and we thoroughly enjoyed watching all the hang gliders and paragliders right in front of us. Also great walking too. We did a couple of day trips to Lorne but you need to go early as the traffic gets mad in summer!

Excellent Xmas break

Great location, walk to the beach.. (although quite steep on the way back).. if you have older people or little kids… House was very well equipped for Xmas lunch for 10 people… kitchen was great 👍 Pool was awesome for the kids and great for the weather we had… Marty the host was excellent and great at responding to questions… everything ran like clockwork. The beds were very comfortable, and we had fans in the room.. Lovely seat in the garden to watch sunrise or sunset.. Lots of family members would be happy to make it an annual event!

Loved it!!!

This house was amazing. Located so close to a beautiful beach, yet we were able to feel secluded in nature - this house has it all. It’s a great holiday stay for friends or families as the house is well designed so you are always comfortable. The two decks and pool were definitely highlights, along with the view. Perfect place for a relaxing stay or if you’re up for something coastal towns have to offer like great walks, beaches and a few local places to eat. The kitchen was also a dream for those who like to cook! Would definitely stay again.

Was hoping for better.

While the house had been cleaned prior to our arrival, it was very basic clean. Cobwebs and spiders in every room and cupboards dusty. Had to do a once over clean when we arrived. Upstairs outdoor table chairs mouldy and filthy. There’s no aircon in the house and the first night was hot and no one could sleep. Half the window latches broken so couldn’t open windows. There was supposed to be fans in each room, but there were only 2 rooms with fans. Found a dirty 3rd fan the next day in the games room. Position is further away from the beach than seemed in the photos. Overall house is tired and weather beaten even though it does have new carpets. Martin the owner was good at responding to our messages, but didn’t get back to us on the missing fans. Overall not as good as presented in the photos and a bit disappointing for the money.

Improvements required for the price

Some suggestions would be for pool to be heated, ongoing vermin control and better facilities to dry wet towels and swimming gear etc... Unexpected visit from local wildlife ( in the form of a rat ) and unfortunately found cockroaches in the dishwasher. Overall location was great but would not pay the same rate charged again with the property in current condition.

Beach Access is great

The house has great views of the ocean. It does need renovation. Painting, floors reglossed, update furniture and ensuite bathroom needs bench area around sinks. Money needs to be spent on it to bring it up. Marty is a good host, communication is great.

That view

We had a fantastic stay at this apartment. The views are amazing with the property everything looking as it’s pictures. The location was in a good quiet spot, did need a bit of travelling to get food and drinks. The property is fantastic, the pool was awesome and the checkin process was easy. The host was great as well. A few small things with the property with some of the lights around the place not working, but that is all. Otherwise fantastic stay.

Unique house and view house at self very rundown needs attention on all areas

Photos look fantastic view incredible location okay bedding made up clean sheets and toiletries house itself generally rundown first night arrived for barbecue no gas into bottles empty it’s all in kitchen or not one pan one pot very hard to cook barbecue for eight people in side not good ..cleanliness overall not good minimum windows could be open due to lack of maintenance rust .. no air conditioning pools not heated ..Needs Pest control as in ants Spiders & Vermonte in side .. noted :-This in national forest area and the barbecue bottle was replaced next day no good to me .House in general is quite unique needs attention to bring it back to its former glory and cost was overpriced for what they were offering.

A super fun weekend in an incredible house

This is a stunning home in an incredibly beautiful location. The views towards Lorne are breathtaking. We stayed over the Moomba long weekend. Highlights over and above the views were the pool, the games room which includes a pool table. The walk to the beach is lovely but you definitely need a fair level of fitness to walk back. I loved watching the paragliders glide over the house. I can’t fault the house. It was clean, fresh towels and ironed linen on the bed. There’s loads to do in the area. The house is about 20 minutes from Lorne and 5 minutes from Aireys. Beach walk at Fairhaven is a must. I loved this place and can’t wait to go back.

Run down & Overpriced

Dirty house when we arrived. No key to access the house. Waited 2 hours for it to get cleaned. Property showing age. Don't trust the photos! Property Manager contacted us and offered to payback for the inconvenience. That never happened either. He stopped replying to our messages or Emails after we left. Very bad experience. Spend your hard-earned money somewhere else.

Ticked our boxes

We stayed recently as a family group for my 60th birthday. It ticked our boxes with - pool, views, accommodating our large group, games room. As an older building there are some signs of 'wear and tear' and some furnishings require upgrading however we were happy with our stay and Marty did everything required to meet our needs.

Mixed Feelings

Great location, stunning ocean views, good pool, good beds and linen, but some negatives. Building condition rather shabby. Lack of blinds in master bedroom annoying, but worse are the angled windows in the bedrooms beside the pool, which makes them bright & very hot from morning sun, even with pleated blinds. We would have expected more than 3 dishwasher tablets and more than 50ml of dishwashing liquid to be on hand, for a 4 night stay with 6 adults & 1 infant. Not even salt and pepper available. Outside BBQ was filthy and took 1 hour to clean before it could be used. Owner / agent is not good at responding to email questions before the visit - gave obscure replies, or no reply at all.

Stunning outlook - some compromises

The place has some great aspects to it - the view has been captured very well. There are some challenges and perhaps so oversights. The main bedroom does not have any curtains so the sun might be an alarm clock, no bins in the ensuites. The water does not work all the time probably due to the height of the house or a faulty pump, this needs to be looked at as it was when we needed water the most is when we found it not to be working. Some windows would not open as the handles had been broken

Family Heaven

Amazing long weekend had by all, the kids had the most amazing time! with a playroom and a pool parents could sit back and also relax - perfect! For the fitness enthusiasts the walk down (and back) to the beach via the walking track is a good challenge. 1 x k, 2 x Q, 2 x KS with trundles is enough room for 2-3 small families to have a fantastic weekend together to create unforgettable memories.

Brilliant stay

Eagles Nest at Fairhaven was brilliant. My family and I could not be happier. All of the beds were super comfortable and there was plenty of clean sheets, towels and coffee pods. Our family really enjoyed the pool, tennis table and pool table. Marty was a pleasure to communicate with. I would highly recommend this property to others.
