'The Barn' - Une escapade à la campagne idéale pour les couples et les familles - Salle de jeux et la faune

Abercrombie Ridge est situé à 933 mètres d'altitude, au bout d'une crête surélevée offrant une vue imprenable sur tous les aspects de la vallée de la rivière Abercrombie et de la chaîne de Great Dividing. La propriété est entourée de 133 hectares de brousse naturelle et "The Barn" propose un hébergement moderne et contemporain au-dessus d'un paysage rural.

Abercrombie Ridge est complètement isolée et privée. Vous avez la propriété complète de la propriété et vous pouvez aller et venir à votre guise sans interruption.

"The Barn" peut accueillir confortablement 6 à 8 adultes. Il s'agit d'une grande grange convertie à l'américaine de trois chambres, entièrement autonome, avec de grands espaces de vie et de divertissement, ainsi qu'un bain à remous!

Les arrangements de couchage dans la grange sont trois (3) lits queen dans les chambres et deux (2) canapés-lits doubles, un dans la chambre mezzanine à l’étage et le second dans le salon.

Vous pourrez simplement vous détendre, lire un livre devant le feu ou vous allonger sur les chaises longues. Vous pouvez également profiter d'un spa, faire une promenade dans la brousse, vous allonger sur le pont et regarder le monde passer ou divertir et rire avec un groupe d'amis.

Everything about the stay was amazing! The location, accommodation, hosts. Absolutely gorgeous, Russ and Mark have thought of every little detail. Would recommend to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing weekend with family, friends or just a couple. totally per friendly. Our Labrador loved everything even the visit each morning from Jack and Mitch. Can't wait to return!

Perfect getaway

Our stay at Abercrombie Ridge was simply outstanding. Russ was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. The house was beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, and had all the amenities I could have asked for. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept so well every night. The location was perfect, with the most amazing views. I would highly recommend Abercrombie Ridge to anyone looking for a perfect getaway. Thank you to Russ for making our stay so memorable!

We didn't want to leave...

Thanks Russ and Mark for an amazing few days of absolutely nothing. The Barn had everything we needed and more, so much so that we didn't have any wish to leave during our stay and could have easily spent a few more sunsets in the spa watching the fading evening light flicker across the hills. Too perfect!

Beautiful, relaxing retreat

We were greeted with big smiles on entry, and our kids loved their friendly kelpies. The Barn was so tastefully designed, you can tell the owners take great pride and no expense was spared. For myself, it was just super relaxing, the views were incredible, nothing beats the beautiful country side. For my kids, the experience was magic, waking up in the morning to look out the window and see deers and kangaroos, they just couldn't contain their excitement. We flew kites, played lots of outdoor games, and made the most of the games room. We all really had a great time, thank you.

Heaven on ridge

This beautiful spot along the Abercrombie River was the ideal setting for a getaway with friends. Our group of six stayed in the Barn, which exceeded our expectations in terms of comfort and amenities. The Barn is designed perfectly for a group, with comfortable beds, open style living and an amazing kitchen that is well-stocked with quality cooking equipment, making self-catering a breeze. We spent much of our time enjoying the views from this fantastic accommodation, but we also ventured out for some bushwalking and exploration in the nearby National Park. One of the highlights of our stay was undoubtedly the hot tub. There’s something magical about soaking in warm water outdoors while gazing at the expansive night sky filled with stars. It was a great way to unwind after a day of activities. Another charming aspect of our visit was the two dogs on the property, Jackson and Mitchel, both Australian Kelpies. They joined us on our bushwalks, and their presence made our experience even more enjoyable. All in all, I can’t think of anything that could have improved our stay. Just a tip for future visitors: make sure to bring all your essentials, such as milk, corn cakes, and bread, as it’s quite a journey to return for forgotten items. Abercrombie Ridge truly offers a luxurious camping experience without the hassle of tents, and I wholeheartedly recommend it for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with friends.

Phenomenal disconnect from city life

My hubby, kids (4 and 5), dog and I stayed at Abercrombie Ridge for the June long weekend. Our expectations were exceeded based on the property but also the vast countryside around it. It was a lovely weekend that enabled us to completely disconnect from our city life and enjoy nature. The kids adored the property and were obsessed with the kangaroos and had a daily ritual of collecting sticks for the fire. Russ was a great host, he ensured that we had a good handover and then left us to relax into our stay. We can’t wait to come back again! 10/10!

Country birthday weekend getaway

What an amazing place. Close to Sydney yet it feels miles from anywhere. The Barn was so well stocked a fantastic kitchen for cooking and beautifully furnished. Very clean and very well organised. 8 adults really stretched the sleeping layout, it is well set up for 6 people the pull out sofa bed is really only suitable for 1 adult or a couple of kids. All 3 queen beds were luxurious and very comfortable. The outdoor spa was amazing sitting over the valley. Be aware the games room is another building not attached to the barn but very close by and very well set up. You will need to take everything with you and return home with your rubbish. But that really was no problem. Would highly recommend this wonderful place to anyone looking for some country vibes and downtime. We celebrated my husband’s 60 birthday with our adult kids and the setting was perfect. An outdoor and indoor fire well stocked with wood completed the stay. We even saw deer and lots of kangaroo close by. Would certainly stay again!

Not only is this property elegantly decorated and one with nature, the hosts are generous in their welcome and attentiveness...its those extra touches: personalised welcome note, bottle of sparkling wine, coffee pods and a large box of chocolates, that will always stay with us. Great spot for a relaxing getaway from the city

We had such a good stay at this well equipped and tranquil house. Everything in the description is spot on, but I don’t think I truly understood what an amazing location for this place. Almost 360 degree views from the ridge and some stunning sunsets! We will be back!

Wonderful, relaxing stay

My partner and I had a wonderful stay at this property together. It is exactly as pictured (if not better), the barn is gorgeous, the spa is fantastic and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Absolutely amazing

Our group and our dog had such an amazing few days at the Abercrombie Ridge. It was very relaxing and the views during the day AND night were phenomenal! We especially enjoyed taking a stroll around the property and taking in the amazing scenery and watching the sunset with a drink in the hot tub. Spotting wildlife throughout the day was a bonus for us too. Russ was such a helpful and friendly host and we would highly recommend anybody to stay here!

Amazing getaway with 360 degree views

We had a lovely weekend away and truly relaxed. The property is well fitted and kitted out with modern fixtures and furniture. Great roaring fire kept us toasty warm. We loved the games room, bush walks and even the outside toilet! Haha. Perfect for our kids and dogs. Mark and Russ are great hosts too. We will be back

My husband and I have been together for 20 years and we actually live on-site in the Stables. It's our full-time gig to make sure this place is in tip-top shape for all our visitors. We fell in love with this beautiful country getaway and wanted to share it with others.

Creating Abercrombie Ridge has been a labor of love for us over the past 11 years to get it to where it is today. We've put our blood, sweat, and tears into refreshing the property and making it a warm and inviting space for everyone to enjoy.
When you step into The Barn, you'll feel the love that's been poured into it. We're so excited to share this space with you and look forward to welcoming you and your guests to our special piece of paradise.

Abercrombie Ridge is located about 26kms from Taralga and 70kms from Goulburn.

We recommend bringing all the essentials, including food and alcohol before leaving town, ands don't forget to top up on fuel before leaving town as we're quite remote!

While you're here, there are plenty of things to do in the local area. You can visit Taralga Wildlife Park or Wombeyan Caves, enjoy a meal at Laggan Pantry, The Argyle Inn or the Sports Club (where all the locals go), or grab a drink with friends at The Taralga Hotel or Laggan Brewing Co. If you're interested in history, the Taralga Historical Society has some interesting relics on display.

For the adventurous, there are also some great places to visit nearby, such as Mayfield Gardens, Abercrombie National Park, and Jenolan Caves, as well as our neighbouring towns of Crookwell, Goulburn, and Oberon – all great towns worth exploring, be sure to see what our beautiful region has to offer!

Once on the property, you have complete exclusive use of the facilities and property.

You can enjoy your amazing PRIVATE hot tub which is perfect with a few glasses of wine on sunset or relaxing under the stars.

We have a full games room for the big kids or little kids which has ping pong, pool, giant Jenga, giant chess and foosball.

The property also provides hours of bushwalking and hiking tracks down to the Abercrombie River. If you're planning on exploring the property, make sure to pack some closed walking shoes or trainers, and consider wearing long pants. We want you to be comfortable and safe while enjoying the beautiful views and scenery.
