Salut Lisa, Juste un thankyou rapide pour un week-end fantastique à prairie de montagne.

Il était super aller quelque part qui a tout ensemble, les enfants se sont bien amusés et les adultes ont à se détendre. Nous adorons le spa !!!

Top family stay

We stayed here for a three night weekend to celebrate my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. Perfect place for a few families, great space and beds all comfy and clean. The spacious yard with tennis court and spa a huge plus. Open fires made it real cosy for winter and not far from town if you need anything. So quiet, would recommend. Thanks for having us!

We were 4 families catching up for an annual get away Property was so well laid out for a large group. The service of the spa man was amazing.. so helpful and friendly. Adults had a ball Kids had a ball Such a great place for a group catch up.

Beautiful place

We (5 adults 1 4 year old and 2 2 year olds) had a great time at Meadow Mountain Lodge. The house is spacious and accommodated us comfortably. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed a fire every night. The children had a great time in the playground and feeding the chooks. We enjoyed a few games of tennis though the court is a bit rough. The location is beautiful with lovely views over paddocks and to mountains. Overall a most enjoyable stay.

House was good size, good kitchen, great location Slept 12 adults easily with room to spare which was great. Outdoors a little run down but not a problem. Was charged extra for tennis court and spa which I didn't realise at the time of booking.

The property was large enough but a little run down. We had to sweep the tennis court before use. Chickens did not lay eggs. Beds were small but there were plenty of small rooms with many beds. Overall we had a fun time and enjoyed the wineries and main town of Berry.

Not value for money

Must say for the price we expected alot better property and experience. The number of rules and lack of little things like milk in fridge and fire prepared etc was totally underwelming. Cannot believe that to use the spa was an added expense and was not even ready for use.

Meadow Mountain Lodge

Great peaceful rural location only 12 minutes drive from Berry, and just a short drive to a number of fabulous wineries. Well equipped Lodge, beautiful fire places, kitchen, dining room etc but overall the property is in need of a little love and attention inside and out. Main bedroom great, but other accommodation mostly geared to families with children, rather than adults. Especially, given the number of bunk /single beds and the 1-2 minute shower rule. Unfortunately the children’s playground was not in a condition to be used by young children on our visit. Play equipment was dirty, spider webs in cubby house, sandpit uncovered, etc. Tennis court could be used, but was covered in leaves, very slippery. Overall a good family retreat for a relaxing getaway.

Not terrible, just needs TLC

It's a big space and a good idea, just poorly executed. We had missing window louvers in the master bedroom in the middle of winter which isn't ideal. There's no floor plan, which hides the fact that several of the "bedrooms" are contained within each other. This might be okay for families but less than ideal for any other groups. Only had 1 teacup in the kitchen which is also bizarre for group accommodation. Several doona covers had weird stains on them. Was probably a nice stay 20 years ago but needs some TLC. I wouldn't be rushing back. It is relatively cheap so I guess you get what you pay for.

Lovely outlook but mediocre accommodations

I have never before written a bad review. But the best word to describe our time in the house is disappointing. The air con in the main area was out of order. The dishwasher was out of order and the screen door was missing off the verandah. Which allowed bugs and flies in. The furnishings and general condition of the house was very rundown and dated. The air was musty on arrival. Water pressure was minimal. The owner was more concerned about his rules and fines than our comfort and enjoyment.

Good property however needs some work

My family had a lovely Easter weekend at the property however feel the property requires some work. When it rained the fireplace in the kitchen area leaks. We had quite a few children within our booking and the property showing a play area with the slide and sandpit was a selling point. Unfortunately it no longer looks like the photos and we were quite disappointed with the state of it and did not allow the children to play within it, it was definitely in need of a good clean and many spiders had certainly made it their home. The sandpit should also be covered as it can contain harmful bacteria's and animal faeces. The deck particularly around the main bedroom needs to be looked at we had three splinter casualties (large ones). One of the bedroom bunks was broken in need of repair and the blinds and rooms need a good deep clean. The living spaces were fabulous, and we certainly enjoyed these. I think it is a great property however needs some work to prevent disappointment.

Wonderful home; insufferable experience

This was a delightful property to stay at however dealing with the property’s manager was the single worst online booking experience I have ever endured. When the booking was first made, the listing stated “3RD NIGHT FREE” and “Weekend bookings receive a 3rd night for free”. However when I requested the third night, the property’s owner informed me “That entry was wrong and has now been corrected.” Ironically, the entry had not been corrected and “3RD NIGHT FREE” remained emblazoned upon the property listing until our stay. Upon sending screenshots of this “wrong” entry, the owner stated “I have taken over managing this property from my wife and we do not wish the site to state that or to make that offer anymore.” Completely logical! While I note the booking now says “3rd night at 50%”, I would be mindful that given my experience the odds of this being granted are low at best. No information was provided in regard to checking in and we so happened to arrive at the same time property maintenance was taking place, who gave us a key and let the group into the house. We were also informed the spa might not be hot enough to use on one of our three... apologies... two night stay. The cherry on top was being questioned after the stay by the property manager who messaged asking “just wondering why the house was left unlocked with key on bench and front gate also open band unocked on departure?" Having been provided no check in or check out details, neither the option of either locking the keys inside nor leaving them in an ad hoc location outside seemed desirable and, somehow, the option of leaving keys on a kitchen bench in an unlocked remote property was erroneous. 4/5 for the property. 1/5 for the management (only because zero seems too harsh).

Good location and size but disappointing

We rented Meroo Meadow for our family visiting us for Christmas from the States. There were a few issues with the property. Access codes to the single key to get into the property were only given once we located the owner mowing the driveway on arrival. The beds are mostly singles, the bedrooms have little or no privacy. It was not very clean as there was dried meat blood in the freezer, spider webs in the bathroom and no leaf blower or even attempt at sweeping the tennis court before our arrival. The owner said it’s a windy area so why bother. We had to pay extra for the spa that stank so badly by day 2 the bathing suits smelled. We felt ripped off by the extra charges . Charged $47.50 per night for extra single bed and they didn’t even make the bed, just supplied the linen. Not enough toilet paper or basic supplies. It is in a beautiful setting and close to lovely Berry. It does have a great kitchen and good space for a large group. It is just such a shame that a little TLC is not there as it would make such a difference especially for the amount of money they expect.

The house is great for a large family group- 3 generations from 4 years up. The spa, tennis court and large grounds suited everyone. The young ones enjoyed collecting eggs and watching the cows. Happy to recommend.

Great accommodation for large family gathering

The property is beautiful - the surroundings are scenic and peaceful. The home is lovely, looks better in real life than in pictures. The layout is great for a large group with different spaces to retreat to. Kids loved visiting the chickens and the spa and tennis courts were a hit for all!

We bought this beautiful acreage in 2002 and renovated it to suit large groups and children. We have four children and know how hard it is to find family-friendly houses. Our philosophy when searching for holidays is finding places that are great for the whole family!

Meadow Mountain Lodge has been set up for providing for kids as utmost importance. We have four children and are fully aware that a great holiday depends on whether the children are happy and fully catered for.

The owners have stayed at many holiday houses and resorts. They found it hard to find affordable, quality holiday homes close to Sydney that mixed style with a family-friendly environment. Hence, Meadow Mountain Lodge was born!
