Had a great 4 day stay in Fremantle.
Location was great with close access to South Terrace. All amenities in house was great. Would book this residence again.
Great house - central and easy to explore Freo on foot or explore further afield by car.
Beds comfortable and cooling good on the hot days.
Some light bulbs need changing over the dining table and toilet area.
We enjoyed our trip.
A wonderful house in a great location in a great town - thank you Alison!
We had a great 4 days in the cottage, it was an excellent base for us to explore and enjoy Fremantle and the surrounding area. The cottage is a bit boho and also highly spec'd with everything we needed. It is very close to town centre and beaches without being right in the middle of the action, so nice and quiet when you get home. A grocery shop and coffee shop are all within 5 mins away and when we needed to pick up our hire car for the next part of our trip, the Avis location was all of 10 mins walk away. We absolutely loved the Bathers Beachhouse - great place to watch the sun go down out to the west; we also had a fab day visiting Rottnest Island (book your ferry and bike rental well in advance). Alison was a great host - thank you Alison!
Overall we had a nice stay. Getting in was terrible , it took us 1 hour and a half. No phone number was provided by Stayz or VBRO. We found a phone number purely by chance .
This cottage is beautiful, itâs very spacious and comfortable. Great fully equipped kitchen. This would have to be one of the cleanest places Iâve stayed at. Just an absolutely delightful home. Bus stop right out the front and can walk down to shops, restaurants and pubs and little further walk can get to the water front. Loved it all!!!
Great on every level - accurate & easy access instructions, clean and well-appointed, location, heating.
We stayed for 3 nights whilst on a longer holiday. We were in need of a homely environment with character, not in the city but with proximity to downtown Fremantle, kitchen and laundry facilities. Very happy stay and walking distance to everything we needed - the coast, historic sites, Rottnest ferries, train. Terrific fruit & veg, butcher, and cafes just along the street, and a fabulous ice cream find on Essex Street.
Stayed with my family for 5 nights. House was spacious but not very cosy in cold weather. Walking distance to restaurants and waterfront area or a quick Uber ride to Rottnest ferry and breweries. Updated bathroom and kitchen. Offstreet parking very handy. Nice little sitting area out the back when it's not raining! Bus stop out the front made the front bedroom noisy.
Thank you we had a great time Captains Heritage Cottage. The house was even nicer and bigger than the pictures on the website and the location was perfect. The bus stop was directly outside the front door ( although we didnât need it we were so close to everything ). Everything we needed was supplied. Go Slow pilates was just 300m at the end of the road which I also really enjoyed and highly recommend . I highly recommend staying here and would definitely rebook. Thank you x
The kids and I really enjoyed our stay. High ceilings, wooden floors, spacious beds. TV to watch Bluey on! Big spacious sofa to relax on. Fast wi-fi.
We stayed best part of 2 weeks, so was a home away from home, so much better than a hotel. Big fridge, fully functional kitchen and dishwasher - full laundry. Hung the clothes out the back to dry in about 5 seconds flat. Everything made our stay really comfortable.
Great location was an easy walk to the centre - but with an excellent mini neighbourhood on the same road (cafes, deli, bakery)
We definitely would love to return to this cottage. The location is fantastic ( a pity the â freeâ aspect of the CAT bus is stopping this week⊠but at least the bus is continuing)
Fremantle is so full of action⊠For all sorts of things.
We happened to land there during the 3 day celebration of 40 th Anniversary of AUSTRALIA CUP. It was a big party.
The location of the cottage was ex.
A particular highlight for me was â GALATOâ - a fabulous Italian fruit/ veg/ delicatessen⊠Next to an amazing butcher-â Franksâ.
Great coffee shops nearby, bakery, quirky shops⊠without even heading into central Fremantle⊠which of course we did.
The cottage was presented immaculately.
Although we didnât meet Alison, it would have been relatively straightforward if needed.
Highly recommended.
We enjoyed our stay, the location was excellent with the Italian grocer across the road and coffee just a 2min walk away. Locality to Fremantle CBD only a short walk away. Property was clean, however believe the couch, foot stool etc needs to be steam cleaned
Great location within walking distance of all the Freo fun and close to bus stops if you want to go farther afield. Bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable but front bedroom gets a lot of street noise. The kitchen and bathroom have everything you need and it is a huge plus to have a washer/dryer and off-street parking! Alison was quick to respond to questions during our stay. We would definitely stay here again.
Alison's place was lovely with lots of character & in a great location. Walking distance to the centre of freo. It was very spacious & had everything we needed!
An excellent place, a really lovely house to stay in.
Great location too, with good local shops and short walk to the centre. Highly recommended and would definitely stay again.
I professionally manage a variety of holiday homes in the Fremantle area. When not working I take an avid interest in real estate, renovating, rugby union (being a kiwi I am a All Blacks supporter), browsing through art galleries & antique shops and getting away for short holidays.
Captain's Heritage Cottage offers a fantastic opportunity to base yourself within the prime Fremantle region and explore all that this area has to offer. Our accommodation is based within close proximity to many tourist attractions, sensational beaches, the harbour which Fremantle is famous for and some of the best restaurants and pubs in Western Australia.
