Had a great time at this cozy getaway spot. Got tons of snow while we were there. Driveway got plowed, which helped a lot. Owner is very nice to work with.
The vrbo property manager was quick to connect us with the owner, Julie. She called with information about the property and let me know she was looking into our question about the clubhouse/pool availability during our stay. The contract Julie emailed indicated this was a no smoking property, but upon arrival a laminated paper on the refrigerator noted smoking was allowed in the basement or outside. This would have been good information to know prior to booking because some of us have allergies. The home had everything we needed in the cabinets and some of the appliances and plates reminded us of things our parents and grandparents used to own. Happy nostalgia. For folks who reserve in the future, if your bed is lumpy/bumpy check under the bed for a remote that controls firmness. We didnât realize this until the second night and it made a difference. One other thing to note, the thermostat is locked out and controlled by the owner. Any desired change in temperature has to be communicated to the owner and she adjusts it.
The house smelled very musty when we arrived. We had to open all the windows and turn on ceiling fans in order to try to get the smell out.
The downstairs had a bed however no one could sleep down there due to the musty smell.
I have allergies and they were terrible while we stayed. ( again due to the musty smell )
I also have NEVER stayed anywhere that charges the guest to pick up the trash ,($10 a bag) .
This is a great place to stay in the winter. We had 8 people and had plenty of room inside. Great location for snowmobilers with plenty of room for 3 trucks and trailers. Close proximity to the trails!
