Thanks for the review. We were unaware of light bulbs being out and fixture that need cleaning.We recently moved back from overseas BUSY BUSY. Yes some wood needs replaceing on porch and that’s something that is to be done durning winter when not as many guest are schedule to stay.

I have reviewed all past messages from Martha and still unable to see any message regarding an issue. Guest had only emailed about early check-in, which I did allow. Besides that I had an email regarding not being able to find attachments for the key code but then was informed she found it. My apologies as I appear to have not received her message. I can be reached with an email, call or text at the number provided.

This guest did not leave our lake home clean as he stated. I have been using the same cleaning company for over 5 years and one of the two people that clean is also a pastor of a local church. So I trust their judgement. I was there before these guests arrived and personally placed extra paper towels and toilet paper rolls. I was there to install a new vanity and mirror in upstairs bathroom. I tell guests if they need anything to let me know and I will try and help. This guest messaged me multiple times and I didn’t mind. He wanted information if there was sugar, oil , salt, etc. I politely told him these items weren’t provided but there a cabinet with some things to use if he chooses. He asked about WiFi I said nicely sorry but as stated in the listing there isn't any WiFi. He said he misread and thanks. Later he asked about firewood on the side of house to burn I said sure use if you like. He also asked to check out late and wanted to know if I would honor his request. I had informed him I couldn’t at this time, because of the cleaning company’s schedule so they can prepare for next arrival. He asked for extra paper towels late in evening the day before his check out. I told him I would get someone to drop off if they were in the area. We took the info sent to us by the cleaners and sent to them cut and paste to explain why we charged them an additional cleaning fee. It was very specific and detailed on conditions found. Without going into the details, what this guest has noted is simply not true and the home was not only left very dirty (which I can expect to a degree) but also very unsanitary which required additional cleaning of walls and certain areas and the reason this person was charged the additional cleaning fees.
