Our family of 8 including 2 from America couldn't have asked for more. The house was perfect, the surroundings spectacula. Each morning we were greeted by up to 30 parrots at the back door waiting for there breakfast that was supplied by our host. My 9 year old grandson was in ore of the surroundings as we all were. We will return in the future and hopefully sight one of the wombats preasent. Thank you Suzzane hop to be back
Such a warm property with extraordinary views! We had such a lovely time, got greeted by kangaroos and birdlife and enjoyed a bit of Australia with some international guests. The provided outdoor activities were wonderful for the children as the adults enjoyed the view and company. Will definitely be going again!
Stayed here for 3 nights for a family wedding at Dry Ridge Winery. Beautiful space and so relaxing. Lovely walks and wild life around the place. Home away from home Thankyou đ
Would highly recommend this property. Amazing wildlife all around, so peaceful. 15 minutes to Dryridge and the Megalong Tea Rooms. We appreciated being able to enjoy this place SO much. Thank you!
excellent host, great communication and clear guidance about the use of property. really went above and beyond to ensure guests have a good time. our family had a blast!
We had an amazing time during our stay, from organizing details with the hosts until we left the property. The house is large, full of character and very clean. Communication with the hosts was always on point and immediate when required, and whole experience was just amazing. The nature, the area, being surrounded by mountains and trees and walking out into the magnificent property and the land was absolutely priceless. Daily sightings of wallabies, kangaroos, unusual birds weâve never seen in Sydney, and magic all around us. I was very sad leaving indeed.
Loved the lounge room and fireplace over looking the deck and amazing views. Quite and peaceful with an abundance of wildlife. Would definitely recommend and stay again.
My family and i had a lovely stay at Zoellas for 3 nights this week..
From the moment we arrived we were met with wallabies and rosella and there was endless wildlife to enjoy watching..
The property is remote which is what we were after, nothing but the sound of silence and nature..(but still only a 10min drive to The Tea House)
The house is very well equipped with every kind of kitchen utensil on offer and endless board games for the kids..The piano and guitar were a lovely addition for us..Walks on the property to the giant rocks and caves were also a highlight of our stay (especially for our 6 and 7yr old kids)..
Zoellas is comforting, warm and inviting.
The property is very private and lent itself to the relaxing weekend we all had in mind.
Suzanne is a wonderful host and goes out of her way to make her guests feel welcome. I highly recommend staying at Zoellas in Megalong Valley.
Zoellas was the perfect place for a family weekend away. Directions were clear to get to the property, even if the rain made the roads a little more exciting! Once we were there, we didn't want to leave. Perfect place to relax and enjoy the beautiful views, take walks on the property and enjoy the cooler weather.
We were attending wedding at Dryridge Estate and it was an easy drive (although roads were quite chewed up from recent rains) to the estate. Nice, quiet getaway.
We loved staying here- the valley is magical- amazing views and atmosphere. Well equipped and welcoming homely house with great verandah. Warmer than Blackheath and we ended up leaving the door open at night despite no fly screens in bedroom. Great for family reunion.
After a solid week of heavy rain I was concerned about the dirt roads and creek crossing in a lower than typical sedan. We contacted Suzanne on Friday morning and she kindly kept us informed of creek levels and other issues throughout the day. The driveway is a challenge in a lower than typical car and needs to be done very slowly and very carefully. We arrived on a very wet, cold and foggy Friday evening and it was delightful to find the fireplace ready to go on our arrival, it just needed to be lit and it warmed us and the house very quickly :).
The house is roomy, well equipped and comfortable. There was plenty of room and everything else for the 6 adults on our weekend away. The outlook from every room is beautiful, but particularly spectacular from the lounge room, verandah and front bedrooms. Seeing wallabies on the property and feeding the birds in the morning was a delight. Under cover parking is plentiful in the barn about 30 metres from the house. We were in Megalong Valley to attend a wedding at the Dry Ridge Estate Winery, which is only 15 minutes away. Our double bed was too soft in the middle, but that aside, we would highly recommend Zoellas if you want a quite, very comfortable place to stay with spectacular nature surrounding you.
We're a family of 4 with 2 kids who live in Sydney. We spent 2 wonderful years living at the property before the kids started high school. We love the outdoors and are slowly nibbling away at the property to make it more accessible but we just love coming here to escape the city and are very happy to be able to share it with other people.
The property is hard to capture on photographs. There is a and tranquility about it which you can only experience by being there. There's so much space to relax and spend time with friends and family but enough different areas to have me time too. The wildlife is amazing with regular visits from wallabies and wombats, amazing birds and the occasional echidna if you are lucky. The days pass with an ever changing array of sounds of the bush and sights as the weather rolls around the mountains. It is typically 5-10 degrees warmer in the valley than up in the towns of the mountains so while it may be freezing in Blackheath, we can be enjoying balmy sunshine in the valley. It is a place to truly relax and unwind, surrounded by the beauty of the bush and with space to explore and run around, or just sit and take it all in while you recharge.
