We are sincerely sorry that you did not enjoy our vacation home completely. If you really desire a newly remodeled luxury unit rather than an economy unit, there are much higher-priced newly remodeled luxury units in the same building. We have enjoyed living in this unit, on and off, for 7 years, and hope that our guests can also enjoy its space, location, full kitchen and facilities too. We try to keep it nice for our guests, having the whole unit including carpet professionally cleaned while we're off island, and are sorry they missed some spots--thank you for letting us know! We have contracted to have the entire shag carpet that we enjoy with bare feet to be removed and replaced with wooden flooring by midsummer so that inadequate cleaning will never again present a problem. We have replaced the Sears/Target furniture items that you called "Thrift Shop" with first-line island furniture, and had the rest cleaned. We have replaced the 40" TV with a 56" Ultra-High Definition Samsung. The wifi and cable has been upgraded to extreme high speed with hundreds of channels. We have replaced our 7-year-old bed with a top-of-the-line cool memory foam bed. Some issues are not with our particular unit but with the Marina management. For example, they use unfitted sheets because they are more adaptable to all bed sizes and can be bleached or sterilized without degrading any elastic. We always try to keep the dustpans, closets, and bathroom fully furnished, but sometimes such items disappear before we are informed or can replace them. Everything that you have noted has been replenished as of this writing. If anyone notes further issues, especially with level of cleaning or lacking necessary items, please bring it to the attention of Marina Hawaii Vacations management immediately, as they are authorized to remedy or replace as needed, even when we owners must be out of town. We do appreciate our guests' comments, and will do our best to maintain a clean and comfortable home away from home for those who choose us.

Aloha Jim & Diane, Thank you for the 5-stay review! We're so happy that we could provide you & your husband a great accommodation for your extended trip in Waikiki! The studios are very spacious & a great option as it has a full kitchen! We do have to agree that we need to update the kitchen, but we've priced the condo to accommodate an outdated kitchen. We have mattress encasements on all our condos as we know that some unfriendly bugs like to hitch rides with guests staying in the condo and our housekeeping is trained to inspect the beds to ensure we don't have any problems for guests stay. Aloha Ruth, Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. The location & the view can't be beat from this condo!! We just replaced the sofa in the living room, with a new sofa sleeper, with a memory foam mattress. We are working on slowly updating the other items in the condo as well. In the meantime, the price perfectly suited for travelers looking to stay in a great location, with an amazing 180-degree ocean & yacht view.
