Riverfront romantique Asgardur maison de vacances de confort

Maison de vacances récemment rénovée, assise sur les plus grandes rivières d'eau douce d'Islande, Sog. Sog est célèbre pour son magnifique saumon atlantique. La maison se compose de 3 chambres lits jumeaux, toutes avec salle de bains et une chambre double principale avec douche. Il y a une douche supplémentaire dans la maison ainsi que des toilettes invités. Cuisine entièrement équipée, salon confortable avec télévision incl. netflix. Sur la véranda il y a un jacuzzi que vous pouvez remplir d'eau chaude géothermique. Vous pouvez profiter de la vue vaste et magnifique sur la rivière et les montagnes depuis le jacuzzi et, le moment venu, profiter des aurores boréales, des aurores boréales à partir de là également. La maison est assez éloignée des autres maisons, elle est donc très privée.

Great place and fairly remote

We found everything we needed and were very comfortable. The hot tub was great! It is in a fairly remote location but that helped us spot some northern lights! Our stay was short but truly enjoyed the house and Iceland.

Picturesque stay

The host was very informative and helpful in the run up to our stay. The house is in a beautiful location and is very well equipped. Good base for touring many of the top attractions. Would highly recommend this house to others!

Iceland Stay

During a recent trip we wanted some nights away from Reyjavik and spent 3 nights in Asgardur.The property was really well presented and spacious with all the amenities that we needed. The location is superb. i just regret not bringing a fishing rod as it looked really tempting to go and sit by the lake for a few hours.Would highly recommend and would be happy to stay here again if we visit Iceland again in the future.

My only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer. Perfect location for Northern Lights viewing. I would book here again if I return to Iceland. Well thought out remodel (toilets in every room!)

This home was beautifully situated on the river and it was easy to find from the directions. It was super windy but didn't stop us from enjoying the outdoors and the views. 15 minutes from town so bring food with you to save a trip. Only issue is that it was very pricey for one night.

Fantastic house!

We had an amazing time at the home! It was very clean and exactly as advertised. The hot tub was wonderful and we were lucky to get to watch the Northern Lights from there multiple nights! The views of the river and mountains were spectacular. It private, quiet, and peaceful. The location was great - close to restaurants, grocery shopping, hiking, and many attractions. The information provided by Vala was so helpful. I highly recommend staying here!! We loved it!

The beauty has no words

This location was a perfect last night to a perfect trip. It is spacious clean practical and has luxury without the debilitating cost. The host was there for us and was quick to reply and answer. I shed a tear coming in this cottage I was taken by its location (scenery) and the comfort we had.

Well equipped, comfortable in a fantastic location

If you are looking for a peaceful family property to stay close to the attractions of the Golden Circle, then search no further! So well equipped, clean and comfortable - it really felt like a home from home... and the location is breath-taking, nestled into a promontory on the river bend with spectacular views of mountains and valley in all directions. We wondered at the Northern Lights from the comfortable and protected decking area in the September night sky after watching the descent of a wonderful orange moon. Bliss! Stock up with groceries enough for your stay and enjoy!

Best. Host. Ever.

Not only was the property and house absolutely beautiful, but Vala really helped us out of a pickle with the weather acting up. The house and scenery were gorgeous and the amenities were amazing and relaxing after a day of hiking and being out and about. Communication with the Vala was quick and easy and she answered any and all questions I or the group had! Overall, 10/10 experience! Thank you for making our stay so great!

The perfect vacation home!

We absolutely loved our time at Asgardur. The home is beautiful. It has 1 primary bedroom with an en-suite bath. The other 3 bedrooms all have attached half baths. There is another shower and separate half bath in the home. The bathrooms and kitchens are updated and lovely. The beds and pillows are very comfortable. We loved the high end shampoo and conditioner in the showers. The hot tub was a huge hit with our teens and the view from the deck is breathtaking. Finally, the house is in the perfection location. In our weeks stay, we were able to see everything in the Golden Circle area, taking short drives. We loved being 15 min from Selfoss. Highly recommend this home.

Beautiful location

I would not hesitate to recommend this cottage It’s absolutely beautiful . The house is lovely and warm and I loved the decor - comfort and style . Each twin room has its own toilet and sink . The communal shower is a little far from the bedrooms in the sauna room so that was a little awkward . But everything else exceeded expectation . The view and location was incredible . The location was easy to reach but still peaceful and secluded .

Beautiful home in stunning location

This is a well appointment home with stunning views all around. Be prepared for a rough ride for the last 0.5K of the drive, after leaving the main road, particularly if it's snowing or icy. However, the wonderful peace and quiet, plus incredible views of aurora borealis two nights of our 3-night stay, made the drive worth it. The hottub and sauna were very nice, too. The master bedroom has ensuite bathroom with shower; the other three bedrooms have ensuite toilet, with shared shower down the hall. I highly recommend this property, and the owner was very responsive.

Great house, wonderful location

Good property, wonderful location by the river. Owner was helpful and very responsive. We saw northern lights above the river. The description is a little confusing - there is a master bedroom with toilet+shower. There is also a stand-alone shower the other occupants can use adjacent to a sauna (we never tried the sauna). Also an outside shower (we never used). The bedrooms are a little small but functional and each one has its own little bathroom with toilet & sink, and there is an additional toilet+sink for guests. So plenty of bathrooms! (if that's your concern). All appliances worked fine. Location is good for Golden circle. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Outstanding

We rented this property for a post-wedding retreat with 5 close friends. It was wonderful! The view was beautiful. The property felt secluded. The location put us right next to some major landmarks and is minutes away from a market for us to stock up on some groceries. There was plenty of information available in folders describing the location and things to do. The landscape was stunning and very different from what we had seen in other parts of Iceland. I would recommend this place for a family or group of friends.

Modernes geräumiges Haus, wunderschön gelegen

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in Island. Das Haus war frisch renoviert und sehr schön und modern eingerichtet. Die Küche war komplett ausgestattet und sehr schön, sogar mit Spülmaschine. Das Wohnzimmer war sehr gemütlich. Jedes der 4 Schlafzimmer hatte eine eigene Toilette mit Waschbecken und das große Schlafzimmer hatte noch zusätzlich eine Dusche. Es gab noch eine extra Dusche und eine extra Toilette. Wir hatten einen schönen großen Whirlpool auf der Terrasse und im Haus eine Dampfsauna, die aber gerade zu einer Sauna umgebaut wird, daher konnten wir die Sauna nicht nutzen. Was aber nicht weiter schlimm war. Auf der Terrasse war auch ein Grill, den man benutzen konnte. Sogar Grillkohle war vorhanden. Das Haus liegt sehr schön an einem Fluss. Abends konnten wir die Nordlichter sehen. Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und haben uns mit Tipps und Infos versorgt. Alles war sehr unkompliziert. Wir würden sofort wieder kommen.
