La Holiday Luxury Lakefront Villa est située au bord du lac Álftavatn au sud de l'Islande. La maison dispose d'un bain à remous, d'une cheminée, d'une plage de sable et d'une vue magnifique sur une montagne de l'autre côté du lac.

The house created one of the best gathering spots for the trip and was in the most beautiful spot. Would highly recomend for a family or friend group going on an iceland adventure!

This was an absolutely beautiful home on the lake in Selffoss. It was so comfortable and relaxing with the view of the lake. Excellent amenities and plenty of sleeping quarters for our adventure group of women. The host’s Sigyn and Diddi were so responsive with all questions prior to our first trip to Iceland …. Also during our trip. We used the hot tub daily after hiking and enjoyed the kayaking on the lake!We had a splendid trip!

Beautiful home near the Golden Circle

The home was lovely and in a beautiful setting on the lake. Beds were so comfortable and we loved the view and the hot tub. There was plenty of space for our family of 8. The location was perfect to explore the Golden Circle.

Perfect Family Getaway

We had a loveley stay in Slefoss. The house was perfect for our family. Our kids played outisde by the lake, we had family dinners each night out on the deck while we enjoyed the Aurora Borealis and we easily drove out on mini excursions each day. THe home was clean, cozy and beautiful.

Wonderful experience

We truly enjoyed staying in the home. It accommodated our group of 7 adults with room to spare. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The view was lovely and it was 10 minutes to town with great restaurants.

This is one of the best VRBO properties I have ever stayed in. A peaceful, beautiful location directly on a lake and perfectly located for the sights of the Golden Circle. The hosts have excellent attention to detail in providing everything we needed to enjoy our stay including kayaks, a row boat, life jackets, a fire pit and of course the hot tub. The beds were very comfortable, the towels and bathroom amenities were all high quality. The TV even had an Apple TV device, another example of the hosts thinking about every detail. Communication with the host was excellent. We loved our stay here.

Very comfortable and nice villa to stay. The view and environment are absolutely beautiful and it’s very close to some popular locations! Amenities are good and we did not miss anything. Checkin was easy and contact with owner was also easy and pleasant. Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic stay

Beautiful home in a great location. 20-30 minute drive from our daily adventures. Owners thought of every detail : extra abundance of towels / bathrobes, slides for walking to the hot tub, small fans on each bedroom side table, etc. Heated floors helped for a cold week! And the views were spectacular!

The house is so beautifull and the location even more. The area is very convenient for trips is all directions. We had the most wonderfull stay. The owners are very friendly and willing to help you with anything. I hope to be back one day.

The house was beautiful and right on the water. We saw beautiful views of the Northern Lights right from the deck. The house had everything we needed inside and and it’s just a short drive to the grocery store. The property owners accommodated our flight and let us check in very early

Fantastic Property

We truly have some fantastic memories at this house that we will cherish forever. We had 2 families with a 4 yr old, 3 yr old, and 2.5 yr old and we all fit perfectly. We cold plunged in the lake in the morning and enjoyed the hot tub at night. Do not hesitate to book this house!

Magical Christmas

Sigyn's communication was excellent throughout the booking process, pre-departure and during our stay. The property is exactly as described and for us, it provided an idyllic Christmas vacation. On the ratings, we just dropped one point on location as we very nearly got snowed in on the drive on our morning of departure. Everything else though was wonderful - a stunning location and a fully and professionally equipped property.

Fantastic home perfect base for Golden Circle

We stayed here with our 3 adult children and the home was absolutely perfect! Clean and comfortable with a beautiful lakefront setting in the trees - it was very private, yet just a short drive from Golden Circle sights and the town of Selfoss. Hot tub under the stars (no bubbles, it’s the Icelandic way), pool table downstairs for the kids, and the Northern Lights across the street!! Very gracious host who met us at checkin to make sure we had everything we needed. (Which we did - the home was well stocked including coffee beans). I would highly recommend this house!!

What a wonderful warm home !

The house was perfect for our family of 6. The kitchen was nicely stocked with spices and coffee. The fireplace was warm and inviting after a long day of exploring Iceland in the cold. The pool table downstairs add to the family fun. If you're looking for a nice home to complement your visit to Iceland think about this Luxury Lakefront Villa, It would be outstanding in the spring and summer. We didn't spend much time outdoors (visited in late November) but the lake looked wonderful and the patio was inviting.

Amazing location and awesome house!

Sigyn and Diddi were wonderful! The house is amazing and the hot tub is a must. You have all the spices you need to cook and the grocery store is just 15 min away in Selfoss. The location is perfect for a 1 hr drive into Reykjavik for a day downtown, it is right on the golden circle and we HIGHLY recommend taking a day to drive south east towards Vik to see many waterfalls, a glacier, lighthouse, black sand beaches and amazing countryside. The bathrooms are spacious and have really nice soap, shampoo, conditioner and hair dryers. The beds were very comfortable and were real king and queen beds (not 2 twins pushed together). If you want to see the countryside, you can't find a better place to stay!

I second all the stellar reviews that have been left here, and I will add one more jaw-dropping detail: We discovered, during our stay, that the dishwasher was broken, and so I contacted the host, who promptly responded. Within a few hours (while we were out exploring the area), the old dishwasher had been removed and a brand-new one had been installed! I never expected or anticipated such service -- but it was so greatly appreciated. Otherwise, I can't say enough about every aspect of this home. It is exquisitely designed, clean, and well maintained. The kitchen is incredibly equipped, and the home offers more than enough space for private and gathering places. The surroundings are simply idyllic, and we took full advantage of the boats -- so easy to access -- and it was an experience not to be missed on that beckoning lake. Obviously, the host is exceptionally responsive. The home was truly a highlight of our 16 days on the island! (Second photo is a panorama from the deck; ignore the distortion.)

Luxurious Rustic Glam Lakehouse

This Villa is truly the perfect combination of rustic and glam! Walking into the main living space I felt transported into a life of luxury and relation! Two stunning crystal chandeliers charmed the main living space while the extra large wood burning fireplace filled the room with warmth and comfort. The house was decorated with fine art and an extensive variety of books! And what a spectacular view of the lake and the mountain! It was just breathtaking! I spent the evenings cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, relaxing with a glass of sparkling wine next to the fireplace, and then taking a dip in the private whirlpool outside. The house is privately located on the lake, yet conveniently just a short drive to downtown Selfoss. It is ideal for a cozy weekend get away in the summer or winter! The owner was incredibly hospitable as she prepared a welcome treat and ensured my stay was relaxing. She put a lot of thought and passion into making this the ideal getaway. I highly recommend this Villa to couples and families. Thanks Sigyn for sharing your lovely home with me! Looking forward to coming back again someday!

Fantastic house with great views, very well equipped and just like a home from home. The host had thought of everything including robes and a basket full of sliders to go to the hot tub! Good location for touring the south coast. We had 11 people in the house and was ok but was a bit of a wait for showers/bathrooms. Not a criticism of the house, just worth knowing if you are a large party. It was freezing and snowy during our stay but the house was lovely and well heated. We hope to come back in the warmer months! The host was also great at sharing information and for telling us when to look out for the northern lights which was a nice touch! Many thanks

Es war einfach sensationell. Wunderschöne Lage am Seemit Hot Pot. sehr stilvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet.Es war alles vorhanden von Gewürzen über Duschmittel und Shampoo bis zu Bademäntel, Badeschlappen und genügend Holz für den Kamin.Sehr zu empfehlen für eine grössere Gruppe!

Luxury Lakehouse

An truly amazing Lakehouse in a stunning location, I fell in love with it straight away! Beautiful interiors and immaculate condition, plus fantastic facilities and really appreciated the log burner and hot tub after a busy day sight seeing! Being on the lake was just wonderful and using the kayaks was an amazing experience. Sigyn was a very lovely host even with our late arrival, what more can I say I would definitely recommend!
