Very nice flat in a very nice neighborhood. Flat had everything we needed with a good selection of shops nearby. Quiet street. Nice neighbors. Close to the tube District line which gets you most places.Only negative was slow communication with owner and manager. But, we just ended up figuring things out on our own and it was fine.
Beautiful apartment decorated in classical English style
My partner and I stayed for a month. The apartment is lovely; warm, clean, well-equipped and beautifully decorated in a classical English style. Stephane and Rob were perfect hosts: friendly, helpful and very responsive. On wet days, I loved just hanging out in the apartment. Overall, we felt like we were truly living in London rather than just being tourists. I would give more than 5 stars if I could, and I have already re-booked the apartment for my next stay!
Our hosts were so accommodating. And how can you not love a sweet Victorian home with all the comforts of modern life? Minutes away from two Underground stations and within walking distance of pubs, restaurants, everything you need.
We found this apartment the perfect cosy refuge to come home to after a busy day in chilly London. Rob was very welcoming and gave us a detailed introduction to the apartment. This apartment offers you a lovely home away from home in London. Would not hesitate to return and recommend this apartment to family and friends.
A lovely apartment with beautiful Victorian touches. Lots of beautiful furniture and detailing to highlight the Victorian apartment.
Communication with Stephane and Rob was great. Rob was helpful and informative. We enjoyed our stay!
Just some things I personally found tricky - the shower hot taps were a bit hard to negotiate and as a smaller person, it was a high step out of the shower/bath.
infinformative. was great.
Everything was perfect. My only (very minor) issue is that it is quite a long cab or uber ride from the West End and we were of an age when we try to avoid the tube and associated walking and climbing. The bus was quite convenient during daytime, and the tube would not be a factor for younger guests.
We absolutely loved staying in this home. The living room feels like you are in a beautiful Victorian era home yet bathroom and kitchen are modern. We loved coming home after a long day of sightseeing. Upon arrival we took the Piccadilly line to Barons Court station. We walked to the property but Uber is only ÂŁ7. While there we used West Kensington - easy walk and convenient to central London. Tesco very close. Hosts were great!! If we return to London we will stay here again!
We had a great stay for 6 nights. Apartment has everything you need for your stay. It is on theground floor. Located 5 min walk to 2 underground stains and grocery stores. Greconjunction
The place was absolutely as described. Great location near everything. They were great communicators. And it was decorated to a tea with Victorian pieces definitely recommend it.
We enjoyed our stay.
A few suggestions.
A new bed and sheets. New bath towels and kitchen towels would go a long way since the rest of the place is so roomy and nice.
We spent three nights in London and this flat is a perfect place to stay for a couple. Communication with the hosts was great and the neighborhood was quiet with restaurants, grocery stores, and tubes near by. The flat itself was very clean and had everything we needed, even bags for shopping. It was very easy to get to the sights in London as well as Heathrow by tube. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to other people.
This property is in a very good location. Close to the underground but still in a pretty quiet neighbourhood. The weather was quite cool when we arrived so the host stoped in and set the boiler to come on in the morning to warm the unit up and then for a short time in the evening so we weren't too cold. Much appreciated. There is lots of decoration in the unit and if I have one small criticism there are just a few too many things around. The kitchen was exceptionally well equipped. Huge fridge and freezer. Bathroom had a great shower.
Thanks for a very nice stay in a very nice unit.
My boyfriend and I were excited to visit London for the first time. Pricing was great. Communication was fast and accurate. Check in process and check out process were seamless. We felt so safe, the place was very clean, the access to The Underground was so close and we used it to go everywhere during our visit. The restaurants and cafes in the area were all good. Overall it was exactly what we needed. We felt like we got the real London experience with the flat. It was well equipped and beautiful. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. The area was quiet too which was nice for when we wanted to sleep after a long day of exploring. Definitely stay here if you can!
We loved this first floor flat from beginning to end! Rob checked us in and gave us a thorough overview of the accommodations. It is an adorable space decorated in cozy traditional English decor on a beautiful, super quiet street. It is a 3 minute walk to the Tube, restaurants and about 4 grocery stores/convenience stores that had everything we needed including wine & beer. We loved Curtains Up Pub - seemed like a local pub. All the rooms in the flat were lovely - Kitchen was very nice, well equipped with very nice appliances. We only used the fridge and washing machine - both were clean and worked great for us. Bathroom was small but a perfect space with a nice big shower and a nice amount of storage. Bedroom was a great size - bedding was very nice. The disposable mattress liner was unique, but not a big deal. The owners were super responsive and were so helpful when we had a self-induced issue. We were here a week and would HIGHLY recommend this flat if you are planning a visit to London and want to live in a neighborhood.
Stephane was the perfect host. We got in very late on the day of check-in and he met us and provided the keys and a quick tour of the property and was completely understanding as we had been communicating with one another leading up to our arrival.
The space itself was perfect for us. It was very clean and well cared for. It was minutes away from two underground locations which made travel around London an absolute breeze. We were quite surprised with how quiet the space was too. Every inch of the place was full of charm and the bathroom and kitchen both had modern features. Having a washer/dryer was great as we planned our trip around needing to wash and dry our clothes at least once so it saved us a trip to the laundry mat.
We would gladly stay here again.
Enjoyed a quiet 2 week stay in nicely appointed property. It is close to everything you will need to have a comfortable visit. There are shops, restaurants, coffee shops, and tube stops, and a chemist, all within 5 minutes. The owners are very helpful and responsive. Would stay again.
This flat is close to 2 tube stations so itâs very easy to get anywhere. It had everything we needed for a fantastic week in London. Crazy for coffee (a 2 minute walk) was fantastic, as were the restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets all within a short distance. This beautifully decorated flat felt like a home away from home.
Review:
Nice to be in ground floor, no stairs to haul luggage up and down. It is well equipped and comfortable. Unit is on a ground floor so only a few steps as you enter the building to haul luggage up and down. Access to Underground is easy as West Kensington and Barons Court stations are 6-10 minute walks. Plenty of restaurants and a Tesco Express close by. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Perfect, charming house for friends visiting London - very close to the tube, had everything needed for a comfortable stay, very nice host - we were three hours late arriving which he dealt with so kindly. Would recommend highly.
