The property in Rosemarkie was very nice. It is remote, quiet, and very peaceful. The views were tremendous!
We had difficulty finding the property, but thanks to some very kind locals we found our way.
Gorgeous views! This is a quiet, rural escape. You wonât be bothered and will enjoy the company of horses, sheep and cattle nearby. I would go to the point multiple times to look for dolphins- we only went once and missed them. You can park at the pier for about a euro an hour. Long walk down to the beach but worth the excursion.
We stayed in the pines cottage with our dog. I have to say the stay was fabulous, the house has everything you need and more. Very complete, all very well thought out throughout to the minor details and all very clean. The view and gardens are spectacular; love the benches in the gardens to relax, play, have a drink or picnic with the glorious view. The area is quiet and pure. We have done day visits to many places around the highlands but equally have done quite a few local walks, stunning. The highlight from my point of view was being able to see the dolphins at Chanonry Point just down the road and the day trip to Skye amongst many other ones. Poppy our dog had the best time, being able to roam around and her many swims in the sea. Tim the owner is lovely and very knowledgeable and we admire his passion for wildlife /outdoors (he even wrote a book) . We also got to chat to his dad and spend a bit of an evening chatting in the gardens and got to hear quite a few of his experiences and travels, fascinating. He let us look through his binoculars which were good ones and now I am going to get a pair for us. Thank you Tim, we had a lovely time and we will certainly be back in the future.
Fabulous location, attentive host that didnât invade youâre privacy. Facilities excellent, host provided hints and tips for local area, especially regarding Dolphin spotting. We will be back in the future. Thank you very very much.
