Newly renovated Character Cottage close to the beach
Clematis Cottage is ideal for visits to Fortrose, the Black Isle and a good base for Inverness which is just 15mins drive away. It offers comfort, peace and quiet in a newly renovated character cottage with log burner and private garden less than 200m from the beach and harbour, centrally located with restaurants, bars, shops and cafes just a short walk away. Close to the golf course, Chanonry Point, beach, harbour and other tourist attractions.
The cottage was comfortable and well equipped.Full of character and a delightful cottage garden in front. The host was friendly and helpful. Fortrose and surrounding area have a lot to offer. Would recommend.
This was a lovely home with a beautiful garden! Easy access to Inverness and other surrounding areas. The host was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to all our questions. Would definitely stay here again!
Had a lovely stay at Clematis Cottage. Good range of facilities nearby.
Excellent Restaurant just across the road too.
And, shops were just minute walk away too.
Very comfortable beds, lovely furniture and a fabulous log burner, just right for a February stay.
Thank you.
Stayed here on our first night in Scotland while we where headed north and couldn't be happier. The place was clean and comfortable for our party of 7 total (4 adult and three kids). Great location and backyard. Met with our cousin and family nearby and backyard was nice to relax and hang out in. Wish we had more time here but had to travel on. Highly recommended if looking for a place near here. Owner also let me back after check out to use the bathroom. Thanks Again!
Lovely cottage, plenty of room for the 5 of us, 2 really big bedrooms , our 15yr grandson was happy in the smaller 3rd bedroom, the bunk beds in there were full size single beds which is unusual. The kitchen and living room both good sized , really long garden, our boys loved the playroom at the bottom of the garden. Perfect location for shops cafes chippy and to visit Chanonry point,to see the Dolphins and Rosemarkie. There is a path opposite to Fortrose beach. The cottage was spotless clean and we wete left everything we could need and more.
Excellent - what can I say , arrived to the fire all laid for me to light and the heating on so the property was cosy. After getting lost initially finding the property the locals weâre more than helpful . IV10 the Bistro across the road , I wish you were across the road from me !! The Anderson , we couldnât have been made to feel more welcome . Simon our host , for coming out on New Years Day to enable the wood burner to stay on , amazing !!
The dogs loved it , the garden , the coziness of the fire đ
It was escapism , relaxing , friendly , charming and we canât wait to come back !!
We had the best experience ever!
Property was outstanding from all points of view, well equipped kitchen, 2 bathrooms, Super comfy beds and nicely decorated Bedrooms.
The garden was little peace of heaven.
You can clearly see that the owner put a lot of thought into decorating the house.
And the owner was unbelievable!
He helped chase after the driver after destroying our mirror while driving by and fleeing the scene, when we were doing the checkout.
A real life hero!
Thank you for everything!!!
Turned out to be a little far from Cabot Highlands golf. Thought it was closer. Probably not the best place to stay if your intention is to be close to the course. Comfie beds. Easy rental to rent.
Our family enjoyed our short stay in Fortrose. The property is great (the fireplace is a nice touch on a cool evening), and, while small, Fortrose is a quaint town that has everything you need (groceries, restaurants, etc.) and is a great jumping off point for exploration in the north of Scotland. We hope to be back in the future.
