A perfectly lovely stay at the Fishermanâs Cottage in Avoch! Ideal, beautiful beach view, all amenities were provided, a comfortable bed, easy access to the town center.
My family spent 5 days at this locely cottage in Avoch. The cottage is beautiful, just steps from the water, with a rocky beach great for beachcombing. The cottage was clean and nicely decorated. Suzana was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to questions.
This is a very charming cottage that retains the character of itâs past. The owner met us on arrival and gave a very thorough introduction to the property. Unfortunately Storm Amy hit the area hard and we were forced to leave the area sooner than expected. The owner fully understood and was very helpful with her suggestions and offers of help. We were disappointed not to be able to stay longer but would return again and we recommend this property to others. We would like to thank the owner for her support.
Suzana has a beautiful cozy cottage with a peaceful view over the water. Her cottage has everything you need along with thoughtful little pieces here and there for your enjoyment. If youâre looking for something authentic, peaceful with lovely little villages about, this is the place.
The hostess, Suzana was very friendly and informative. The cottage was quiet and central to so many sites. It was well equipped, wonderful views to the water. We loved it and would happily stay there again.
Suzana met us at her cottage, explained how all the switches worked and provided all sorts of helpful information about her cottage and the area. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed to prepare meals. It was comfortable and warm and very clean. Watching the water frrom the cottage was really special. Would definitely go back again.
Great cottage and location for exploring the black isle and beyond. The cottage is very well looked after and has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Would heartily recommend.

It was immaculately clean and in a great location
Great communication from Suzana even though we were late arriving Suzana was their to greet us and show us where everything was
Cottage was cozy warm and very well equipped. Loads of character and lovely wild garden that the grandsons loved. The beach across the road was ideal too.
Everything you need was in the house. Very friendly owner gave us all the information and told us about the things we can do and see
Thank you Suzana, we had a nice time in Avoch and we have seen a lot of interesting things in the neighbourhood.
What a great stay ! From the moment we arrived and were greeted by Suzana, we felt we were home. The beautiful gardens in the back, the comfortable furnishings in the house and the ever changing firth to the front, the location is a true gem. We had great stay in a wonderful home that Suzana had welcomed us in to ! Thank you !
We had an absolutely amazing stay. Suzana was wonderful, meeting us with a big smile, great personality, and suggestions for our visit. The cottage is very cute and comfortable. It is in a great location to explore the surrounding area (Black Isle, highlands, etc). We even saw dolphins in the sea nearby!
Only minor hiccup is that there is a washing machine but no dryer (we got lucky and it was sunny so we could hang-dry), but honestly other than that it was perfect.
The cottage had all we were looking for - Suzana showed us all and everything just worked - we had a very pleasant stay and can only recommend this little juwel for others! Susanne & Chris
Tanera More is the ideal "Highland cottage by the sea". The village of Avoch has always been a fishermans cove and the small harbour continues to support a small community of fisherman plus a new generation of pleasure trips to see the dolphins. This part of the Moray Firth enjoys a mild climate sheltered from the open seas by Channory Point, and the area is abundant in wild life. The Cairngorm mountains to the south are covered in snow during the winter months and lure out door enthusiasts. Local culture of legend and folklore are on the door step and intriguing Pictish remains dot the landscape. Sandy beaches are close by in Rosemarkie and there's golfing in Fortrose. It's the perfect holiday getaway, yet is only 10 miles from the amenities of Inverness.
