Our stay at this property was so bad that we actually left after the first night there. We were not provided with any check in information and had to ring the property owner to find out how to get into the property just before we arrived. We arrived with our dog and 3 month old daughter and were shocked to find food (melted cheese) dropped onto trays in the oven and sauce splattered in the microwave. I had to clean the kitchen and all items on arrival and all surfaces felt grubby and unclean. The property is run down and shabby. Radiators were rusty and old and the sofas were falling apart and stained. This was not suitable to bring a 3 month old baby too. We were so disappointed. The location is really good but the house needs some TLC and to be cleaned properly.

There was no outdoor enclosed space for the dog but it didn't matter, the cottage was situated so that we could take him up the steps onto the Cleveland path, and the beach was so close anyway. The cottage itself very cosy and well equiped For and Lobster our excellent value and very friendly.
The cottage was lovely. For future bookers be aware that (depending on the time of year and weather) there is a lot of foot fall outside the cottage with people accessing the Cleveland Way. From early in the morning until dusk. So if you want a holiday escaping people this would not be the cottage for you!
