Property was very clean and owner was very responsive to questions. Location was greatâin walking distance to Canyon Road. Would definitely stay again!
This is a great place to stay. Walking distance to many places of art, food and gardens. The home was clean and provided all that we needed. The only caution is for people with disabilities when walking. It contains several level with a step up from one room to another.
We loved the charm & historical value of this house. It was built in 1848 and filled with real Santa Fe features. It was exquisitely clean. The caretaker was quick to respond & answer our questions. The multiple small steps in the house were a bit of a safety hazard that required our caution.
First, the house is just lovely. Itâs adorned with gorgeous hand-paintings by local artists and very tastefully furnished. And I was expecting quirks of an old house but AC worked great, the shower was hot with great water pressure, etc. Secondly, the location was just fabulous. It was within an easy walking distance to the Cannon Road as well as the Plaza area, plus a 5 min walk to a coffee shop with a tranquil garden. And itâs right on Acequia Madre, which is a historic feature, so if you are nerdy like me, you canât ask for a better location.Overall, I was very happy with our decision to stay here and would love to come back!
Historic adobe home with lovely outdoor space. Immaculate, with thoughtful touches like kids games, lots of towels, very comfortable beds with nice linens and well stocked kitchen. Walking distance to art galleries and great coffee/pastry shop. We had 2 adults and 3 kids under 10. All loved it. Reserved parking a couple houses away.Perfect way to really feel you were in Santa Fe!
We highly recommend this charming, historic home for a short or extended stay. We were a group of three women - and two of us are interior designers, so we appreciated the beautiful tile work and handpainted cabinets and glass. The house is well appointed and is filled with the character of old Santa Fe. The location is excellent for touring - just a couple blocks from Canyon Road and a short walk to the Plaza. Around the corner is a coffee house and a high end grocery store is nearby. The hosts were very responsive to any needs. We would definitely stay here again!
This home left such a space in my heart. I traveled with my teenager and my sister and we had a blast. We each had our own room and this place is totally cozy. The first day of the trip, it snowed, which made the house feel even cozier then it already is. The photos in the listing are great but this place is even better then the pictures portray. Our hearts were breaking when we were leaving. It was already hard to leave since it was the best girls trip but this house made us feel hugged every day and night. It was our first time in Santa Fe and I would stay here again in a heart beat.
the stay was just lovely. we had a few messy bits checking in and didn't hear from the property manager but the host was in touch with us and we treasured our stay.
Three of us stayed here for a moms get away and this house is perfect! We each had a comfy and super cute room. The house is clean and stocked. We walked to the plaza and canyon road and dinner many times. We will absolutely be staying here again for another girls trip!
Highly recommend this beautiful historical home! It was perfect for our stay in Santa Fe. Great location, loved the home and patio. Beds and linens were so comfortable. We would stay here again in a minute. Loved it!!
Historic and charming Adobe house. Very close to canyon road and within walking distance of the plaza. Delightful enclosed courtyard where we were visited by a raccoon. It was also nice that the house was supplied with toilet paper, Kleenex and paper towels. These items don't normally seem to be supplied and it made us feel more welcome that they were in the home and there for our use. We really enjoyed staying there.
Great historical home. Great location near Canyon Road. The interior of the home was very comfortable. For anyone that is elderly, the first step into the home is very difficult and there are larger steps throughout the home. We had heavy rains and due to the historical old home we had a Water leaks in the house. The property manager was great.
Beautiful, historic home. Was perfect for me, my husband, daughter, son-in-law and 5 yr old grandson. Great location, next to Canyon Rd and a 15 minute stroll to the Plaza. Off the street parking for 2 vehicles!!! We loved our stay.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your very charming home. The location was fantastic and was walking distance to everything we wanted to do. The home was also very clean. Our only complaint, which wasnât even major, and I probably shouldâve reached out to the property manager about, was that it got very hot in the house at night. We were nervous to adjust the thermometer in the living room as it said not to adjust below 71°. That being said, this was just a minor blip in our stay. The home was well appointed and had everything we needed.
A unique adobe near the plaza. A lovely stay walking distance to canyon road. We had a group of different ages and property worked really well. As in the description it is a beautiful old adobe and some steps into different rooms. The steps might not work if you have an elderly person in your group. Lovely host!
We are three friends who have been coming to Santa Fe for 20 years, and have stayed in a variety of historic homes. We found this home to be very well laid out, and cozy. All instructions from our host were easy to follow and everything was explained well. The decorations and amenities made our experience so lovely. We wished we could have used the courtyard but it was a bit too cool outside. Parking is easy, the location is great, convenient to walk downtown or Canyon road. My only caution is there are a lot of step ups and downs in this house (as in many historic adobes) -if have trouble walking, you may find this house a bit inconvenient. But otherwise, I highly recommend it.
We are a family of 6 from Austin, Texas! We fell in love with the beauty of New Mexico in general and Santa Fe in particular! We find the city unique to New Mexico as Austin is to Texas... It's our "home away from home"!
We love our home because its like stepping back in time in a sense. The house was built in the 1800's so it charm remains and somehow transports you back in time and you get a feel for the way the original Garcia family lived in this sweet little house. It's updated with modern furnishings but the charm of the house still remains. We call it our little jewel box. Theres so much to discover around every corner from the artists original paintings in the window casing to the dancing ladies pressed into the door frame to what we think was a religious tabernacle in the hallway where the family once worshiped. We know you will enjoy this home as much as we do.
Our home is tucked a block off of Canyon Road..only a short stroll from our front door but away from all of the hustle and bustle. Subscriptions coffee shop is just around the corner. It's one of the most popular coffee shops in town with a casual atmosphere and relaxed vibe.
