Our 9th Sea colony visit. This layout works best for us, 2 adults, 4 teenagers. Very clean. Everything we needed was there. Washing machine had a error machine, owner responded to my message right away and had a service man there same day to fix.
This property was perfect for my family vacation with young kids. So many comfortable places to relax, great modern bathrooms, and nice appliances. The bedrooms had enough space to set up a pack and play, and the 5 of us were more than comfortable.
It was our first time staying in Sea Colony, and it was fantastic. Everyone was friendly, the campus was clean and shady, and this house was right across from a tram stop. Check-in was super easy, and we had no issues with the property. We hope to stay again!
I would be careful renting this property. We travel a lot as a family and this owner is unreasonable and accusatory. We left the house as we found it minus stripping sheets and leaving all dirty towels together and the owner accused of property damage that already existed. There were no checkout instructions even after inquiry. It was clear by the state of the home it was a rental although it did have updated floors, kitchens and bathrooms. The floors were dirty(made our feet filthy), marks on the wall, no caps on the staircase, broken screen porch, worn /stained couches and fixtures falling off the wall. We love Sea Colony and visit a couple times a year. We would suggest looking at other units for your vacation experience.
Unfortunately, this property was not very clean. The floor was barely swept, and I have no idea the last time it was actually mopped. The toilets were not clean either. There could have been more furniture in the main living area, and there were not area carpets so the property was extremely loud. Two of the three TVs did not work, which was ok because we were out a lot. No TV in the master bedroom and no side lamps in the master bedroom at all. The towels that were included, were very small. We have been renting on the west side in SC for 13 years and this property was very affordable - so we dealt with these set backs.
Lastly, the ceiling on the screened in porch is caving in and the screens were broken - so we were not able to enjoy that space.
Beautiful property and home. We did not want to leave! And the townhome backing to woods was a surprising treat. We look forward to staying again sometime in the future.
We had 4 adults and 4 kids and plenty of space. The house itself was clean and as promised. We took the Sea Colony tram to the beach everyday which was convenient. The kids also enjoyed the outdoor pool down the street. One thing I would note for those considering the rental and not familiar with Sea Colony - you will have to pay for weekly badges for the private beach, pools, etc. and parking passes separately which came to an additional $40 per person (needed for those over age 4). Basically you cannot stay there without those passes. That made the trip a little bit more expensive then we originally intended but overall we were satisfied with our stay.
We love the beach and our kids love the beach. Sea Colony offers a care-free planned community in a quiet, family oriented beach town. Everything our family could want is there, including bike paths, pools, tram to the beach and a fun small town with concerts on the boardwalk in the summer. The house is well designed and life is easy!!
We enjoy biking to town, visiting the shops, going to the newly expanded South Coastal Library, which has lots of PCs and also offers kid's programs. We enjoy watching the birds, including swans within the community. The pools are within walking distance(2 outdoor and one indoor) and tennis is just around the corner, too. We also like playing in our backyard that backs to woods for extra privacy. And Mom loves reading on the master bedroom deck or on the screened porch. The kids like to fish in Cypress Lake(really more of a pond) just across the street from home.
