We just returned from our stay and have mixed feelings. The house itself is beautiful; very spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The pool is incredible, the hot tub (when on) is great, the rooms are comfortable, the kitchen is nice, and the game room was a big hit with our group.That said, there were some significant issues that made our stay less enjoyable than we had hoped.Gas smell by the pool: There was a very strong smell of natural gas outside. When I called the host, I was told this was ânormal,â but it did not feel safe and I believe there may be a leak.First night double-booked: Despite booking months in advance, we were told at the last minute that we could not stay our first night because the property was double-booked. The host arranged a couple of resort rooms for us, but they were nowhere near comparable to the house we reserved. Having guys flying in from all over the country for our annual golf trip, this was a major inconvenience and really put a damper on things.Coffee maker broken: The drip coffee pot didnât work. The host provided a Keurig and pods, but we had purchased coffee and filters hoping to use the larger pot.Hot tub restrictions: The hot tub is only available from 5pm to midnight, so we couldnât enjoy it in the mornings when it would have been perfect.
