The Villa is located in a dominant position over the picturesque town of Calci (reachable in less than 5 minutes on foot), surrounded by the centuries-old olive trees of our farm. The Villa is completely independent, all rooms have a private bathroom, there is a large kitchen and a beautiful living room with fireplace, as well as a large garden and a private, panoramic swimming pool. THE POOL IS OPEN FROM MIDDLE OF MAY TO THE LAST SATURDAY OF SEPTEMBER. THE POOL IS FOR THE EXCLUSIVE USE OF THE GUESTS OF THE HOUSE AND USE IS NOT ALLOWED BY OTHER PEOPLE OUTSIDE THOSE STAYING IN THE HOUSE. The wi-fi is free. Pisa can be reached in about 10 minutes. Lucca in about 20 min. Florence in about 50 min. 2 km away is the Certosa di Calci, where you can visit the Natural History Museum and the beautiful interiors of the convent. IN THE MONTHS OF JULY AND AUGUST WE RENT ONLY FOR WEEKLY OR MULTIPLE WEEK PERIODS FROM SATURDAY TO SATURDAY. FREE WI-FI

Very nice house in very good condition and beautiful location. Wonderful view from the outside table. Doors and windows have screens. Kitchen is functional and well-equipped. Beds are comfortable and don't sag. Lighting inside the house is good. Clothes-drying rack is big enough to be functional. It's a short walk into La Pieve (though you do have to watch out for cars a bit in the first part of the walk). La Pieve is a very pleasant and interesting little place, with a nice bookstore and a good-sized eleventh-century church, not to mention cafes, bars, etc. Co-op supermarket is very close by; you can walk there if you are ambitious enough to carry your groceries back; otherwise, it is a short drive. Our only minor criticism is that we would recommend upgrading the pillows to something thicker and more substantial. Owner is very pleasant to interact with.

Wonderful vacation!!

We had a wonderful stay in Calci, the House had everything we needed. Thanks to the great and clean Pool we were able to keep ourselves refreshed during the hot days and thanks to the Fans we were able to sleep super. Tommy was alway very helpful and also suggested wonderful place to see and eat. Thank you Tommy for having us stay!!

We had an amazing time, couldn’t fault anything. Perfect location, very clean and everything we needed was there. Tommaso was so helpful and was always happy to offer assistance if needed, nothing was too much trouble. Very private and quiet. Pool was great, very clean and the perfect size.

Pleasant holidays

We had a very nice week in Calci. We liked the house, the pool and the many old olive trees around. You are very undisturbed there. There is also a very nice view from the house into the southern landscape. The restaurants in Calci are also easiely accessable on foot. My conclusion: The week went by too quickly. And Tommaso is a very friendly and reliable host.

Very nice holidays

We booked the house for 2 weeks and found everything exactly as described. Enjoyed our time without bigger issues. Our kids loved the pool :-) The house is situated on a huge private property with some other houses, but we didn't notice any other neighbours :-) So a really quite and relaxing time! Many thanks to Tommaso who is a really great contact person, always reachonable in case of any topics or questions. Also the recommendations for restaurants, beaches etc. are extremely helpful. I can really recommend this house!

Very good accomodation in a beautiful place

The accomodation was corresponding to the description made in the add. Actually it was even nicer than I thought. This house is charming and very well structured, it was very clean and the landlord welcomed us very well and gave us good advices. The week we spent there in November 2011 will stay in our minds as one of our best holidays in Europe. For sure we will return to this place later on, probably in Spring as there are flowers everywhere. The town of Calci is quite nice, there is a market in the Center (I think it is on Thursdays) and a supermarket opened from 8:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m. where you can find almost all you need. This place is located close to the main beautiful places to visit : Pisa 12km, Seaside 30km, Firenze 80 km, San Gimignano 75 km and the breathtaking landscapes of Tuscany. The owner produces oil from the olives that you can see around the house and everywhere in the property. It is of high quality and the price is really reasonable ! I wish you a very pleasant stay in Calci.

Wir haben ein paar sehr entspannte Tage im beschaulichen Calci in der schönen Villa Fico verbracht. Vielen Dank auch an Tamasso, er hat uns zum Schluss noch das leckere Olivenöl, der auf dem Hang wachsenden Oliven verkauft. So bleibt uns der Urlaub auch "geschmacklich" noch in Erinnerung! ;)

Die Lage in Calci mit fußläufig erreichbaren Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist super. Das Haus und vor allem die Bäder sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber wie beschrieben ausgestattet. Die Zufahrt zum Haus erfolgt über einen sehr schmalem Weg, mit einem größeren Auto etwas problematisch. Bitte unbedingt Insektenschutz mitbringen. Es gibt sehr viele Schnaken.

Häuschen im Olivenhain

Nettes Haus im Olivenhain gelegen, einfache, aber hübsche Ausstattung.Gut sortierte Küche und schöne Terrasse mit Grillplatz.Alles sauber und viele Informationen vom Gastgeber. Unserer Meinung nach etwas stressiger, zu früher Check Out um 9 Uhr morgens und 2 zu schmale Betten im 3ten Zimmer.

Het huis heeft kleine ramen, ideaal voor de zomermaanden, maar in de paasvakantie is het er nog donker en koud. Er is genoeg ruimte maar het huisje is wat verouderd. Vermoedelijk waren we de eerste gasten van het seizoen, het was binnen best koud. Als uitvalsbasis om toscane te verkennen is dit een goede ligging. Firenze op een uur en een half, Pisa en Luca een half uurtje. We zijn ook naar Cinque Terre gegaan, dat is ook goed te doen. Siena is niet iets verder. Heel vriendelijke eigenaar. We moesten wel bijbetalen voor de gas, waar we niet op gerekend hadden. Verder is de keuken van alles voorzien.

Dear Veerle I am sorry to see your review like this also because you did not tell me anything during your stay and not even at checkout. The issue that the house has small windows is the first time I have been told Maybe it rather depended on the bad weather you found during your holiday. As for the internal temperature you could have set the thermostat higher and you would have certainly been better. Regarding the cost for gas and air conditioning it is specified in the announcement that it is an extra cost. I hope to have you as a guest again during the summer months

Entspannung pur in urbaner Lage

Tolle ruhige Lage am Hang unter Olivenbäumen. Absolute Privatsphäre, sehr sauberer Pool, bequeme Liegen, natürliche Schattenplätze. Einzelbetten sind nur 80 cm breit - eher für Kinder oder kleine Personen geeignet. Küche gut ausgestattet - einige zusätzliche Gläser wären klasse. Wäschwechsel nach einer Woche war prima. Gute Restaurants, Eisdiele und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wie Bäcker, Metzger, Markt, Apotheke und Supermarkt fußläufig in Calci erreichbar, einem netten kleinen Ort. Nähere Umgebung mit Pisa, Marina di Pisa (Strand und Meer) oder Lucca traumhaft schön. Vielen Dank an Tomasso - er war als Vermieter jederzeit erreichbar und sehr freundlich.

Het was een goed en mooi verblijf. Vooral de ligging tussen de olijfbomen en zicht op de bergen is fijn Ruim en met alle benodigdheden. Leuk en groot zwembad met ligstoelen, ook veel mogelijkheden voor schaduw. Kort bij Pisa, Lucca, de zee, Firenze op geen al te grote afstand. Goeie gastheer

Schöne Lage und toller Pool

Das Haus liegt schön mitten im Olivenhain. Auf dem Grundstück befinden sich noch mehrere Objekte, von denen man jedoch nicht gestört/beeinträchtigt wird. Die Ausstattung des Hauses ist einfach, aber gemütlich. Der Pool hat die perfekte Größe sowohl zum Schwimmen, als auch zum Spielen. Liegen und Sonnenschutz sind ausreichend vorhanden. Pisa, Lucca und auch der Strand sind in maximal 30-40 Minuten gut erreichbar und auch Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sind ausreichend vorhanden. Wir hatten hier ein paar schöne Tage in der Toskana.
