Glad place for my daughter ( 11 years old) and myself with our doggies- able to walk to park nearby - nice screen in porch - rooms had plenty of space and very clean and safe We shopped and toured downtown Savannah, walked dogs through fort Pulaski, and even played at beach , it was a great place in between everything .
This was our third stay at the Charming Cottage, and it continues to be our favorite getaway spot near Savannah. Every time we return, it feels like stepping into a peaceful retreatâcozy, welcoming, and full of charm. The location is perfect: close enough to enjoy the energy and history of downtown Savannah, yet just a short drive to the relaxing beaches of Tybee Island. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, making it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. The cottage is always spotless and thoughtfully furnished, with everything we need for a comfortable stay. We especially love the outdoor space for morning coffee and evening chats, and the beds are incredibly comfortable.Jack is a fantastic hostâfriendly, responsive, and clearly dedicated to making each visit special. His attention to detail and hospitality make all the difference.Weâre already looking forward to our next visit. This cottage has truly become a cherished part of our travel tradition.
Be aware, finding this house in the dark can be a challenge. The cottage is comfortable and clean. The, surprising exception to cleanliness is the bathroom, in particular, replacing the icky shower liner would be a simple step to raising the cleanliness of the bathroom the the level of the rest of the cottage. Thank you!
My husband and I loved staying in this quiet cottage. Close to both Savannah and Tybee but in a neighborhood that felt off the beaten path, perfect for a little romantic getaway without the kids! It was clean and comfortable. There were grocery stores and a few restaurants close by (less than 10 mins). My only small notes are that the listing has pics showing an empty lot with a view of the marsh across the street, but that lot now has a huge house on it. So the view isnât the same. Also the main bedroom has the ac unit right outside the wall so if youâre a light sleeper it does clunk on/off several times in the night. The host was very responsive and gracious, I accidentally broke the coffee carafe and he was very kind about it. Overall a lovely stay!
Overall it was a fantastic experience. Only concern I had was lack of paper products (paper towels and toilet tissue) but we had a Publix nearby so it wasnât a showstopper. That being said we would definitely visit again
We really loved the location, it was very quiet, close to shopping and restaurants, and not too far from Tybee Island. The house itself was perfect for us, very clean, everything worked, and plenty of towels.
The property is well maintaned and managed. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful cottage in a quiet neighborhood. This is our second time staying here and can't wait to book again.
The cottage was very clean and well stocked. The issue we had was the sewer smell when you opened the back door, which was the kitchen door, when I removed trash. Our special needs adult son had problems with the small bathroom.
Very quiet, quaint, and private. Everything we needed for our first Party Animals game. Very clean. Had lights and soothing music on tvs when we arrived. Warm and welcoming! Thanks!
Very clean 2 bedroom home, beautiful, quiet street. Was perfect for our stay, had our local family come over for a BBQ and had plenty of room to hang out and have fun.
This was an absolutely awesome stay. The cottage was in a quiet area, close to everything. It was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We will definitely stay here again.
The cottage was a beautiful stay right across the street from the marsh. The neighborhood was quiet and gave a feel you werenât 15-20 minutes from downtown Savannah. Plan to stay here again.
Met our needs as far as location and size. All in all good but the living room furniture is dated and in need of replacement or new coverings. The kitchen chains are terribly stain. So bad we put a towel down before we sat on them. Kitchen update is nice 1 bathroom was small but adequate. Mosquitoes were terrible. Maybe a good trim and grass mowing would have helped that
We really enjoyed our stay at this cute little Cottage, and definitely would stay there again, it was quiet and they let us bring our little dog with us, unlike the beach where he (or any dog) wasn't welcome at all sadly . This was vacation for all of us and a place to call "home" while away from every day hassle . Next time, we would love to meet the owners.
This is such a lovely cottage in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. The interior of the home was spotless. Jack is a fabulous host. He responded immediately when I had trouble operating the thermostat. If you are lucky you might be introduced to his beautiful and friendly Great Dane, Nigel !
We love the neighborhood and the neighbors. The street is very quiet - great place to take a walk. Public park and tennis courts within walking distance. Beautiful views of the marsh as you walk down the street.
