Suivez le sentier et passez le pont qui vous mènera aux portes du Seido-en. Enveloppez-vous dans le calme de la forêt où les chevreuils jettent un coup d'œil par la fenêtre et n'ont pas peur.
Seido-en est confortable avec de nombreuses fenêtres spacieuses qui inondent la pièce de lumière naturelle et laissent entrer la forêt. La maison dispose d'une spacieuse chambre en mezzanine avec futon queen et lecture sélectionnée. Observez les étoiles à travers la lucarne ouvrante au-dessus du lit ou de la fenêtre ronde du géant Douglas Fir. La cuisine entièrement mise à jour est bien aménagée et contient de nombreux éléments de base que vous pourriez avoir à la maison. Machine à expresso, mixeur, mijoteuse et machine à riz ne sont que quelques-uns des extras. Manger au bar ou à la table basse.

Pour votre confort, il y a un foyer au propane et de l'eau chaude au sol. Une petite bibliothèque, un système audio à six haut-parleurs et des fauteuils inclinables Lazy-boy en cuir vous invitent à vous reposer et à lire au coin du feu. Baignez-vous dans la baignoire immergée avec vue sur la fenêtre ronde et laissez-vous guider par le bambou dans la forêt

Suivez les cinq marches qui mènent au patio meublé et profitez de la douche extérieure, de la cabane et du bain à remous.

Pour les contemplatifs, parcourez le sentier du jardin de méditation et installez-vous au calme près de la fontaine en pierre.

À proximité, vous trouverez des stands de ferme bio où vous pourrez faire vos achats sans votre voiture. Un trajet de 4 minutes en voiture vous amène à Stowel Lake Farm et à la célèbre société Salt Spring Island Cheese. Sur le chemin, vous trouverez des stands de produits de boulangerie artisanaux en bordure de route de Barb, deux lacs d’eau douce pour la baignade et la pêche en moins de 5 minutes. Pour les aliments frais et les boissons alcoolisées, un marchand situé au port de Fulford à 7 minutes.

High quality, peace and quiet, clean and beautiful

We’ve been visiting the Gulf islands for 30 years and this location is certainly at the top of our list of best experiences. The location is great, very quiet and beautiful. The building is well taken care of, clean and has the best stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen. It was so relaxing to stay at Seido-en, and we look forward to going back, soon :)

This cabin was absolutely perfect for a quiet, relaxing getaway! We stayed here right after our wedding, and it provided the ideal space to unwind and recharge. The outdoor shower and hot tub were amazing touches—so peaceful and private. We especially loved the cozy loft area. It’s also in a great location, close to Salt Spring Goat Cheese Farm and Solace Spa, which made for some fun little outings. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a tranquil retreat!

Even better than expected!

Seido-en is just marvelous! The setting, the location (very close to Rucker Provincial Park), the ambiance - it all comes together wonderfully. Host Wendy Webb has done a superlative job creating this unique retreat. In fact, I’d give it 10 stars ⭐️ if I could!

Simply a slice of heaven. Felt like we were transformed back to Japan with the peaceful elegance of this property. Wendy, our host, is in a league of her own. Simply as good as they come. Unique accommodations nestled in the forest

We had a delightful stay at Seido-En. It was our first time on Salt Spring Island and we were pleasantly surprised by how beautiful Ruckle Park is and how incredibly close it was to the house. We even saw deer in the forest surrounding the house! It was such an immersive experience in nature. We had a very nice stay. Thank you.

Incredible Private Getaway

We really enjoyed this quiet, private getaway. The Seido-en is secluded, surrounded by forest. We loved watching the deer daily roaming the property. There are beautiful waterfront hiking trails nearby and a hot tub or bathtub to relax in after. Wendy went above and beyond to make us comfortable! She is an incredible host. Thank you for a relaxing and refreshing vacation!

We recently stayed at the forest house on Salt Spring and loved it, it is a beautiful property, and with attention to detail there was always something new to discover. Magical and restorative experience

Seido-En is a magical and contemplative sanctuary that deeply supported our desire to disentangle ourselves from the claims of our familiar urban life. It was restorative and we found Wendy to be incredibly helpful and responsive to any of our efforts to communicate a need. The location afforded a lot of privacy with convenient access to the Salish Sea via a short 15 minute hike which we enjoyed on almost a daily basis. The place itself has a very maternal calming quality that we found deeply comforting and serene. The kitchen is well equipped so we were able to be entirely self-sufficient and never needed to leave to eat out. We highly recommend anyone to consider staying at Seido-En.

Unmatched Peace, Tranquility, and Attention to Detail!

Seido-en is a slice of paradise in one of our favorite areas on earth, and to say we were impressed is an understatement. Our host, Wendy, was very responsive and left no question unanswered. The property is serene and every detail is accounted for. The location is excellent, near several hiking trails and provincial parks. We felt immediately at home and incredibly connected with the natural world around us. This was an experience we will never forget. If you stay with Wendy, find and read through her binders near the water fountain. This home, as well as the host, has a fascinating story worth reading. We have nothing negative to say, this was a time we will remember for the rest of our lives. Wendy, our hats off to you for such a thoughtful and restorative experience!

Seido-en House is a sacred place that awakens your senses and renews spirit in relationships.

This special house has the magic ability to immerse yourself in green. Kind of unnerving; trusting the forest, certainly exciting discovering its healing freedom and the sounds of silence & natures noise are true gifts. A perfect place to unwind and get inspired. The floors of Seido-en are amazing - they keep you grounded in such a light space. The Japanese design inside and out are done so well you will begin to rethink how you live. No TV, no push button coffee, small garbage cans and no dishwasher take adjusting but then add to the new way of thinking. Bed is a a hidden gem but you have to work for it with a little adventure. So exciting but be prepared for the climb. Allow yourself to unburden at Seido-en House and it will call you back time and time again. You will be lucky to stay here.

Truly Magical

What a special and magical place! Staying at Seido-en is unlike any other place I've been. In fact, it's more than a place to stay, it's an experience. Tasteful music was playing upon our arrival, mood lighting was set, and the water feature in the living room immediately set a tranquil mood. The secluded forest is right outside the door along with a private hot tub that makes it all so relaxing. All of the thoughtful little touches provided by our host, Wendy made it even more special and every last detail has been expertly appointed so that you can relax and let all your cares and worries go. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking for a enchanted place to stay. Dave

Heaven!

We are definitely going to be coming back here ! This stay saved our relationship! So quiet, and relaxing ! We hermitted in the cabin and enjoyed the hot tub for 4 glorious days and 3 nights. A Japanese Shrine

It felt like living in a Japanese shrine, both meticulously built and executed in a perfectionist manner. Good starting off point for exploring the island, with food, drinks, ferry, hikes, beaches all nearby. Outdoor shower and hot tub complement the beautiful old growth trees. A lovely time.
