Classic Marthaâs Vineyard experience in Vineyard Haven
Perfect big house for our family of 6. Easy walking distance to downtown Vineyard Haven including the ferry, The Black Dog, and Mad Marthaâs ice cream. Access to a small private beach was a great perk. Host was welcoming and easy to work with. Would definitely stay here again when visiting our friends on the Island. .
Our family came from California, Indiana and Illinois for my daughter's wedding. It was the perfect location within walking distance to downtown and the ferry. It was very clean and we just enjoyed sitting out back on the patio playing cards. Our host was the best greeting us and even bringing more supplies. We will definately be staying here again.
The home was very comfortable, we enjoyed spending time in the living room and sun room. The kitchen was awesome and fully equipped. We would definitely come again.
Brothers and sister, Elisa, Joe and Rob Kapell, inherited this multi-generational home from their mother in 2008. Their grandparents and extended family came to the island in the early 1900s and started the island grocery chain and real estate company, Cronig's. They and their families have spent every summer of their lives on Martha's Vineyard.
This property is very special to our family and has lived through multiple generations. Fondly referred to as "Big Juniper", the house resonates memories of lobster dinners and card games. The home is perfect for large family gatherings and destination events held on Martha's Vineyard as well as vacationers and visitors to the Island.
The house itself is wonderful and full of character, but the greatest benefit of the home is the location. Guests have access to the amenities of downtown Vineyard Haven - the ferry, Mad Martha's and many shops as well as direct access to a quiet private beach. There is nothing quite like taking a scenic bike ride around West Chop and then enjoying a late afternoon swim.
