À propos de cet hébergement

Deux étages, 2200 pieds carrés, maison de vacances confortable et propre dans une communauté fermée sur l'île Harstine avec vue sur Puget Sound et le mont. Rainer. Beaucoup d'espace ludique, 8 couchages confortablement (6 adultes 2 enfants). Grande enveloppe autour du pont. Barbecues et aires de pique-nique sur la plage à proximité (accessible à pied). Nous avons une barrière pour bébé, un berceau Pack'N Play et une chaise haute.

Notre maison se trouve dans une communauté fermée, Harstene Pointe, qui possède une piscine extérieure et un bain à remous (ouvert en été uniquement), des courts de tennis, des cornichons, du basket-ball, un centre communautaire avec bibliothèque, des tables de billard et de ping-pong. Miles de plage privée et de sentiers de randonnée. Il y a plusieurs aires de pique-nique couvertes avec des équipements de cuisine au club house, à la marina, à la plage et au lagon.

Les clients auront accès à toutes les commodités du complexe. La piscine et le spa sont ouverts uniquement pendant les mois d'été. Il s'agit d'une communauté fermée privée sans magasins ni restaurants. Une carte-clé sera nécessaire pour l'entrée.

Les propriétaires (agents de réservation) sont hors des locaux. Le gestionnaire immobilier est disponible à proximité pour les questions, les urgences et le nettoyage après le séjour.

Niché dans les bois avec la faune, les sentiers de randonnée et les plages. Vous pouvez creuser pour les palourdes à marée basse (licence requise). Il y a une limite de vitesse de 15 mph alors n'hésitez pas à marcher, à faire du jogging ou à vélo en toute sécurité.

La ville la plus proche est Shelton, à environ 30 minutes de l'île. Ramassez vos courses à Shelton sur le chemin de notre maison dans les bois. Certaines grandes villes sont à 45 min-1 heure, comme Tacoma, Olympia et Bremerton. Vous pouvez vous rendre à Seattle en ferry depuis Bremerton, ce qui est toujours amusant.

We had a nice time at Laura's place. very quiet and peaceful. Nice to have beach closed by also tennis/pickle ball courts to play.

Fantastic family getaway

Wonderful, big house, just ideal for a family stay. And a VERY short walk to the beach, covered bbq area with seating for groups & swings if you have younger kids. My only "complaint" would be kitchen cooking ware. No large pots and pans.

Great stay, clean, games, good space, great location

Perfect place, so looking forward to a visit in the summer as to use the wrap around deck and enjoy the water view! Close to the point and beach, the gated community has lots to offer, felt safe too. Vickie made us feel so welcome and check in was a breeze! House was super clean and we liked the 2 living rooms as the kids could hang downstairs and adults upstairs. It had everything we needed. Thank you!

The property was quite and well appointed. My wife is still recovering from a broken femur and the walk in shower with the seat and hand held shower head was just what we needed. The island was a little remote for some of the things we did.

Peaceful Retreat

It was my husband's 75th birthday so our daughter's family spent the weekend with us. We enjoyed our stay together in this cozy home, playing games and cooking mostly because the facilities were closed due to Covid and the air quality was terrible due to fires. That was the bummer. It looked like a fun place to be had all this not been the case. We are fairly tall so the bathrooms felt like they were for shorter people. The kitchen was adequate, but could use some new utensils. We had brought some steak for our birthday dinner that we had planned to grill on the barbecue, but there was a burn ban so we used the broiler in the oven. That worked well. We think there could have been a beautiful view if there hadn't been so much smoke. All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

A quiet and relaxing weekend retreat

My wife and I were pleased with both the location and the quality of the property. We had some initial difficulties owing to intermittent cell phone coverage, but once we were checked in everything was just as advertised.

Great family house

Loved the location close to the beach and boat ramp. Floor plan provided privacy but also lots of places the gather. Only down side was the nice yard in the back wasn’t usable because of deer and other animal poop throughout the yard. My family had a great time!

Memorable stay at hartstene Pointe

with a peakview of the water, and beautiful wrap around deck, this property was a wonderful choice for our family. The kitchen accommodated serving dinner for 18 family members as we celebrated the life of our father, grandfather, and great grandfather. It was a perfect location for us. The backyard was great for playing and viewing the many deer that found their way there!

Annual Family Weekend

We have been coming to the island for 20 years. The house was perfect for our family. The process was simple, the house clean and well supplied with everything we need. The property manager was great in communicating with us and making sure we enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend!

Water & mountain views

This is a lovely, comfortable home. We stayed here for the 2nd time and enjoyed it even more than the first! The host was thoughtful and left us stocked up with paper products and fully stocked kitchen basics. The house is well set-up for a large family. We loved it!!

Situated just blocks from the beach and picnic area this was a perfect spot for our family

Some elements of the house are rather dated - small couch in the living room is uncomfortable and unfolds whenever sat on, some mattresses are better than others. The dish soap and hand soap need to be replenished. But these were small inconveniences. Overall we enjoyed the house and saw a deer with 2 babies every day. Would come back again.

Lovely home for an island getaway!

We had a fantastic time on Harstine Island with our multi-generational family! We have been to Harstine Pointe many times, and this home was superbly located with everything we needed to suit us all - from 8 year old boys, to teen girls, to parents and grand parents. We had room to spread out, savor meals together, and greatly enjoyed the covered deck with a view of the water. Our host was very responsive before, during, and after our stay, and even helped us get our daughter’s teddy bear home to Seattle when she accidentally left it under the bed. Thanks for sharing your home, and we hope to be back soon!!

Great location! We enjoyed the short walk to the beach and tennis courts

This was a charming home with plenty of room for our whole family. The open living area and kitchen was nice. Large refrigerator with freezer made it great to put all of our groceries in it for the week long stay. The large deck was nice with a bit of a view of the water through the trees. There were a few things in the house that needs some attention. I would also suggest to the owners to have water filter pitcher for the refrigerator. Otherwise this was a great retreat for our family! We would stay here again!

A lovely home in an enchanting forest with water views. Great for family gatherings.

We held a mini family gathering at this home. It had all the basic amenities and a lovely warmth to it. The gated community of Harstine Pt is perfect for families with young and school-age children. It is safe.The pool is great, as is the playground. Plenty of tennis courts, nature trails and beach. The residents are very friendly. We would definitely come here again to stay in this lovely home in this idyllic setting.

Clean and Peaceful

Great place for a family weekend!

We stayed at this property on the weekend of August 17-20, 2017. Our son has a home there, and we rented this and one other house for the weekend to all be together. In this house, we were 5 adults and two toddlers. The stairs created a challenge for our littlest, but with that many adults watching, we did fine. We and the children loved the easy access to the beach (and the view!), the open feeling of the space around the house. Many homes in the Pointe are really hemmed in with trees so it is dark in them all the time. This one is airy and light feeling, and has a back lawn that a momma deer and two speckled fawns stayed in most of the time. That was fun, but the deer poop all over the lawn made it no place to children's games. The rooms were comfortable and we found the kitchen really well stocked. It looks like a large family could have a holiday dinner here, and probably has. The house seems a bit older than most of the houses in the association, and needs some care. We found it clean enough, but it clearly could use some more work - floors, etc, were just barely cleaned, and the edges showed it. Our beds were comfortable. All in all, we enjoyed the home and would definitely stay here again. Our host was very accommodating and helpful.

peaceful retreat with all the comforts of home

The week we just spent here (August, 2017) was the most relaxing week of our year to date. The house had everything we could have wanted and was perfect for our family. We are a family of four, but the house could easily have accommodated eight. For those familiar with Hartstene Pointe, this house is in a great location near the spit and lagoon. Our boys (12 & 14) took over the downstairs (bedroom, bathroom, excellent WiFi, and a family room perfect for board games), and left the upstairs to the adults. The kitchen and main living room are upstairs, so it wouldn't be an ideal setup for anyone with bad knees, but it was great for us. For us, it was like staying with family. We were disappointed that our only week at the Pointe this year happened to be the week the basketball court and all the tennis courts were being resurfaced, but the house came to the rescue. One day, twin fawns came to visit and spent some time hanging out in the backyard, and the kids found an old dinghy under the deck and played with it in the lagoon (just a short walk from the house). The next morning, they found clam shovels and took to the beach at low tide. For rainy days, there are playing cards, an indoor putting cup for golf practice, and lots of movies for the DVD and VCR. We did not want to leave, and we hope to return soon. Thank you!

My parents built this home in 1991 to be a summer home for themselves and family members (especially the grandkids!). Harstene Pointe is the most fun and safe place a family can go to and enjoy nature. They built a very large entertaining deck that looks out on the Puget Sound and looks out on a meadow where deer graze. You can sit back on a lounge chair and watch boats go by, birds in the trees, deer grazing, squirrels looking for food, etc.
