The City of Alicante itself is very vibrant and ideal for all your shopping needs. Take a lift to the top of the castle and take in the splendid views. 45 minutes drive north brings you to Benidorm. Even more local are the NEW beach bars on the coastal road to Santa Pola furnished with double beds and sofas and often live music during the summer months! The golf course in Villamartin is about 45 minutes away and considered to be one of the best in Spain. Others are much closer with Club de Golf El Plantio just 5 kilometers away.

Property was nice and clean, well equipped and as advertised. Plenty restaurants in walking distance and plenty more with a few minutes drive. Nice and close to a variety of supermarkets. Nice central location for going off to see places all within an hours drive. We had a very lovely stay, nice and peaceful in the evening and very close to the beach, highly recommend đ
The house was lovely and clean, beds were very comfortable and the shower was great.
The beach is more of a 20-minute walk away down a hill.
Quite a residential area with a few restaurants. The pastries from the bakery are lovely (we used to buy some and eat them on the beach for breakfast)
The terrace is lovely and spacious.
The whole place has a lovely feel to it.
We really enjoyed our stay, thank you
This is our second time staying as a family at Bluesky house in Gran Alicant.
The owners of the house are extremely helpful and answered a few questions I had before we arrived.
Swimming pool open down the road between May and September and a good size and a lovely beach a 10-15 min walk down a steep hill.
You have everything you need in the house and a nice patio to soak up the morning sunshine.
Lovely places to explore nearby, we visited a few towns on the buses and used the buses to get back to the airport also.
Great family holiday!
This is a small but beautifully formed town house in an area close to shop and bars and the train stop. The house contains everything you could think of and is spotlessly clean with a very modern bathroom. The hill to the beach is a test but certainly one worth doing as the beach is fabulous very clean and shallow so perfect for little ones or just chilling by. The beach bar wasnât bad either. We found the people of Gran Alacant very friendly, I could live there đ§Ą
I have recently returned from a fantastic holiday in which I stayed in this lovely property with three of my friends. The property itself was beautifully clean and spacious and its interior had a traditional spanish feel. It was lovely on waking to see the sea from the bedroom window each morning - a view which is also greatly appreciated from the patio downstairs from which we dined alfresco many a times!
Its location is both very handy for the beach and restaurants, and although Grand Alicant is quite a quiet place there is still plenty to do! Alicante itself is also an easy bus journey for the nights we did want to party!
This was my third time in booking properties via Linda and Gordon and each time I've had a amazing time and can't wait to return next year.
I would like to thank Gordon & Linda for our amazing holiday.
We both got very tanned in our week away, we spent a lot of time down at the beach Hut being waited on and spent a day shopping in Alicante.
The house was lovely, it had everything we needed, the one time it rained we sat in and watched a couple of DVDs and played a boardgame.
I regret not doing any of the watersports, however, I really enjoyed my day doing a snorkel safari, I would highly recommend it to anyone else going, I saw some really nice fish and did a couple of swim thrus. The caves were a bit cold but if you ask for a wetsuit you will be fine.
Thanks again.
Gareth and Anna
This is my third holiday staying at Blue Sky House and as always it does not disappoint in the slightest. My wife and I will definitely be booking again for next year.
I am getting to know the area much better now and the bus service is very regular and also very cheap, you can use the bus service to get around Gran Alacant and also travel further afield very easily.
We took a day trip to Benidorm which was really good, a day out in Santa Pola and several days out in Alicante which is an amazing City.
We enjoyed trips down to the beach and plenty of time in the lovely swimming pool.
The restaurants, bars and cafes in Gran Alacant are fantastic, very friendly and very reasonably priced and only a short walk from the house. The chinese buffet was our favourite.
The house is only ten minutes from Alicante Airport and costs around âŹ25 in a taxi, we phoned Santa Pola Taxis to take us back to the Airport and the telephone operator was very good talking in English which made the booking very easy.
A lovely relaxing house for your holiday with everything you need in a great location for local services and also for exploring the rest of the Costa Blanca.
Once again I have to give the property 10/10
Thank you to Mr and Mrs Davies
Clean, comfortable and well equipped holiday home with good access to beach and communal pool!
We have had a lovely family weeks holiday staying at Bluesky house in Gran Alicant. The house was clean and well equipped for our stay. We used the bbq which was thoroughly enjoyed and my family loved daily access to the communal pool. Most days, we were the only people using the pool.
The area is nice and quiet with a supermarket close by and plenty of eateries. The steep hill to the beach took 10-15 mins to walk down but not much fun in the heat coming back up the steep incline. You can hop on the land train or a bus going back up the hill but we chose to walk. Figuring out the buses wasnât easy but we managed to go to Santa Pola and Alicante by bus without a problem. The only issue we encountered, was getting back to the airport as the bus schedule had changed and no local taxis were big enough for our family.
We are hoping to stay at the house in the future and recommending to family and friends.
Thank you for a lovely stay!!
This is our third stay at âBlue sky houseâ and we just love coming back. Everything is so easy and Linda the owner is always great at giving information and is very helpful.
We got a taxi to the house and buses back to the airport at the end of our stay.
The house is always clean and well equipped with everything you need. Air con is very much needed and easy to use.
We used the pool down the street which is well taken care of and anyone visiting the pool are friendly and welcoming.
We ate out at restaurants nearby and ate lots of ice creams from the cafe up the street.
We canât fault our holiday and will be back for our forth visit real soon.
Thanks Linda and family for a lovely stay.

My husband and I both grew up in Oxford and still live in Oxfordshire. Whilst on our honeymoon in 1987 we went to visit my Aunt and Uncle who had a holiday home in Spain. We were so impressed by their wonderful life style that we began to dream of buying our own place in the sun. Now that dream has become a reality and we also have that wonderful life style, escaping from the cold to Alicante as often as we can.
We had bought a small bungalow in Gran Alacant a few years previously and really fell in love with the area more each time we stayed. We especially liked the fact that it is so close to the airport and the beach. During the evenings we have all the restaurants and bars close to hand so we don't have to use the car. We often use the local transport too (very cheap) So when a larger property came up for sale a few roads nearer to the beach we went to take a look. The lovely Spanish couple showed us around and we certainly experienced the wow factor, especially when we saw the wonderful views of the sea. Within weeks the house was ours!
As our house faces the sea the views are stunning with the beach appearing endless. The high ceilings create such a spacious open feel throughout and the marble staircase is so Spanish. Straight away we could picture ourselves breakfasting on the patio but as the day goes on the shade is a welcome relieve after a hot day on the beach. The photo is of us enjoying a beer and tapas by the beach in January 2015
